In all sincerity, he’d be a good youth coach.

Mowbray and Waggott both say things and do things which serve to make us all think that we are a “plucky L1 club” punching above our weight. Happy to avoid relegation but with lofty aspirations of a play-off tilt. Sorry but I’m also fed up with the dumbing down of expectations. Both of them are L1 standard and are taking (or at least talking) us down to their level.

Here’s an interesting graphic. Get above the green line (90 points) and get promoted. Above the yellow (75), play-offs. Below the red (50), risk of relegation. Blue is Rovers’ actual points to date and extrapolated out to the end of the season, at the current rate of return. We are going to need to get some points from unexpected games. Promotion is all but dead. Play-offs are a fading hope. Let’s hope we can keep above that red line...

Barnsley (h) - the Cauldron Of Hate part 2?
Stuart replied to MCMC1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Probably not related but coincidentally he did change his agent. He gets a bad rep but worse than Bennett at RB? Not sure about that. Trouble is, I just don’t believe these stories of mysterious illness or infamous knocks any more. -
Which ex manager would succeed
Stuart replied to Wegerleswiggle's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We’ve spent £14m on the last 18 months and still don’t have a balanced side. We can’t waste money and blame FFP. -
And yet we got no support. You say “no longer hate” or “not wanting them to succeed” (bit patronising) but I for one am still waiting for them to SHOW us that they have any intention to succeed. Sticking with Bowyer and Mowbray for as long as the did/have suggests that as long as things don’t get worse they are happy to watch us drift. Giving the latter £14m to waste while nothing is done to bring more fans to the club does not make them any more endearing. If that were my money I’d be doing a Levy not a Shebby. (There may be a Don McLean song in there somewhere). I don’t hate the Raos, they are fools who would be pitied if it wasn’t our club. I just want them gone after they have paid the debt they owe Jack.

It’s like trying to tread water while the person with their foot on your head throws £50 notes at you. And we are all getting older while we wait. There could well be fans around now who never see us in the top flight again.
-
Yeah, no, I’m not going to do that. They need to put us back where we were when they sidled up and then leave.
-
Funny isn’t it, we worry ourselves to death about hanging onto managers in case we get worse yet every one of them has had to lower their ambitions after leaving Rovers. Apart from one. Kean in exile Berg to Poland Appleton to L2 (prom to L1, left) Bowyer to L2 (prom to L1, left) Lambert to Championship (levelled out tbf) Coyle to Scotland (relegated bottom of SPL) Mowbray from L1 (failed with Coventry!)

It beggars belief that some folk are saying Venkys have learned from their mistakes! Here we are 9 years into their time with us STILL worrying that if Mowbray leaves then they’ll employ someone worse. Does that sound like an organisation that has learned from their mistakes??

Barnsley (h) - the Cauldron Of Hate part 2?
Stuart replied to MCMC1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Lose to Barnsley and this may kill off my lad’s passion for Rovers completely. We must win but if we lose then Mowbray should be gone by 5pm. So it’ll be a draw. -
Imagine scouting players with particular strengths and weaknesses and then trying to convert them into something less. Mowbray seems to demand a high work rate above all else. It’s about time they ditched those GPS bras.
-
He’s only 55.

A plastic badge with Press on it. Pretty sure @Kamy100 used to get invited to the club press conferences.
-
It’s quite upsetting that Venkys now have owned us longer than Jack. A huge insult to his legacy. Even worse that the current mantra around the club seems to be “think small”.
-
Yes, funny too that Nyambe has struggled to get into the side since he left Crown...
-
I did wonder what happened to Annesley. We are having a terrible time with defenders at the minute! I think Magloire is injured too? (He was at the game on Friday with his mum and dad).
-
Thank goodness he timed his injury around those first teamer places being required.

Is Gallagher another ‘different route’?

Love this post, Andrew. Cheers.

When you are fitting in first teamers someone will have to make way.

A newspaper could lose its accreditation for critiquing comments from a representative of private enterprise? Journalism is well and truly dead!

As daft as that post is, another Peter White at the LT would be great. Would he survive alongside 2019’s social media-fed fanbase though? Not sure. Maybe he would lead it!

Have a read on here. Maybe I’ve over-egged “rumours”.
