  1. Can anyone muster up the energy to try to articulate any positives out of that one?
  2. Still no dissent from the travelling faithful. Mowbray will be heartened by that.
  3. Amazing how Armstrong continues to play every minute, no matter how little he contributes.
  4. He’s “only a kid” who’s “not ready for the rumble tumble of the Championship”. He’s only in the squad to “get some first team experience under his belt”. In 2025 he’s going to be a £2m player for us.
  5. Some of our players look to have gone backwards after working with Mowbray. Give D Johnson the job!
  6. A proper forward thinking manager wouldn’t be looking for a second number 1 in successive Summer windows.
  7. Crowd getting their way. Graham and Rothwell for Gallagher and Johnson.
  8. He very rarely does. He planned this team and subs on Monday... ...the 9th September. Which is probably why Holtby is “injured”.
  9. Sums us up: Gallagher pinging a cross in to... nobody.
  10. First time we’ll have come from behind to win since 1889.
  11. I’m going to be revisionist on this and say that they need to be judged on managerial appointments since Bowyer got the job by default. Lambert Coyle Mowbray All “credible” managers with a pedigree in the Championship. Their next choice is therefore likely to be a Championship manager with promotion on his CV. Hopefully they’ve been sounding out rescuing Rafa Benitez from the footballing backwaters. He’s been promoted recently and has a tick in the box for working for “unconventional” owners. Or we’ll get someone like Pearson. Surely we have to be in for Hughton. Preston got Neil FFS.
  12. Don’t tell us, tell Waggott! He still thinks we want £7.50 pie-and-a-pint “deals”.
  13. Pretty poor show when the admin for the biggest supporter site out there has to use an online public survey communicate with the club. You should be invited in for tea and chorley cake to provide your fan-curated thoughts one-to-one.
  14. Did the exact same thing with Rothwell. He prefers Smallwoods to Holtbys - the mystery is why he doesn’t sign the kind of midfielders he is looking for rather than creative attacking players. I especially like the bit about his his first start was all planned out for after the international break so that he can get used to [playing football]. He is starting to believe his own hype, as though he is some kind of football don. He is here for a long long time I’m afraid.
  15. Maybe Holtby has been left out to take the attention off the fact that Bennett is being played at left back again.
  16. Just put you TV on the correct Sky Sports channel and then press the red button on your remote control.
  17. New players playing well always seems to result in a mysterious injury or illness. Either we need to sort out our training ground and methods or someone is telling fibs.
  18. This frustrates me greatly. He’s 29 and at the peak of his physical powers. He should be playing all the time or until he has a poor spell or needs resting. Just to add to the debate about “cowardgate”, Mowbray brought on Evans to see out the last 15 minutes of a game where we should have been looking for all three points. And that was after taking off Holtby for Gallagher (not Graham) and then hooking the bloke who could provide crosses. That’s not conservative it’s throwing the towel in.
  19. This Dack thing is interesting. He can be anonymous in games but then pop up with a goal or assist and make his stats look good so people get defensive. How often has it been said that he hasn’t done a lot but he has scored. Tbf if we were winning as a result it would be a lot healthier a mix. Maybe it’s a lack of consistency in the rest of the team because of all the chopping and changing Mowbray does. Conversely, Rhodes scored by the bucketload but was hammered on here for his all round game.
  20. Several requests now so... based on the state of the squad, matches and overall confidence in Mowbray’s ability to take us forward.
