  1. I was watching the Spurs ‘documentary’ earlier on Amazon. In a half time team talk against City (0-0) Jose made a point that the City players were trying to pressure the referee and being “c*nts”. He was actually giving them credit for it and said that Spurs needed to be c*nts too and that “nice guys don’t win anything “. Mowbray is too much of a nice guy and I see his image regularly in our teams. It’s why we are so soft-centred; lack bottle to hang on to games or win when we go behind; get nose-bleeds when the pressure of the top six is on; it’s also likely why we are so injury prone. No way is Mowbray telling his lads to be more c*nt-like on the pitch. But I’ll bet Souness, and even Hughes did. And we all know for sure that Warnock will. We have a pussycat when we need a Doberman. (Bonus marks for the Christmas movie quote). All the best everyone.
  2. I’m just glad that we have FFP to make sure that we have a level playing field. (Or to keep from ever again having a local buy their home town team and making them successful - while upsetting the establishment).
  3. If you had been on here for the last ten years you would know better than to dig up a lot of emotive shit that WILL get a reaction. If you continue to do this it will be assumed to be deliberate baiting. There are lots of other things to fall out about, bringing up “an alternative view of Steve Kean” is not necessary nor welcome.
  4. It would be if, one, the destruction he, his handlers and Venkys caused was reversed and, two, people didn’t try to patronise with stupid posts like yours. Either you were just as pompous back then when we actually needed fans to stand together, or you were too young and/or naive to understand. ”Well-intentioned and misguided” indeed.
  5. Well that was utter garbage. Again.
  6. Rovers taking the corner before Kaminski has got into the box just about sums us up. We are like strangers.
  7. Help me out someone, Buckley on for Nyambe when chasing a goal?
  8. We are only missing a few things: a game plan, shape, composure amongst them. Seems that if you stop Armstrong you stop Rovers and we have no plan B.
  9. This is another poor poor game. Men against boys.
  10. Piss take but a typical reply. That was about as bad a performance as you’ll see. Today we got lucky. Most times we won’t. “Lad”
  11. Mowbray is under no pressure whatsoever. Maybe he had a bet on for Elliott to get a goal or something.
  12. wOt ArE yOu On AbOuT - iN mOwBrAy We TrUsT CYOB 🙄 In all seriousness though, that was crap. Will take the three points but we are still seeing the same old problems that we’ve always had.
  13. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/12/14/football-london-could-forced-back-behind-closed-doors-capital/ Allowing fans back in London worked out well didn’t it. Not only did it directly influence our match against Brentford but with the shameful cost-saving decision to cram 2000 fans into one stand while having three empty, ensure no social distancing and with lax enforcement of masks, it has almost certainly contributed to the increase in transmission rates. Whatever anyone thinks about the nature of the virus itself, until the rates come down we are stuck in this crippling lockdown scenario. If the economy is most important then end the restrictions and stop testing - make it about common sense. Because this half-one-thing and half-the-other under the pretence that it will do anything other than short term slowing in a nonsense. If health is more important then close down schools again and invest in IT equipment because that’s where the greatest spread occurs.
  14. Players come and go and there are always several who seem to get worse. There is one common denominator here.
  15. Agreed. And to compound matters, the old adage “a manager lives and dies by results” doesn’t apply here.
  16. Back to your condescending-yet-ignorant best. Let’s have it right - there are two Irish lads in our defence and everyone is at fault but them, eh? Lenihan has been poor today but he should have been back alongside Ayala, not Williams. All the best managers build a solid defence and work from there. Mowbray has never addressed that in all the time he has been here. That means that no matter how many goals we score (and we score a lot) we end up midtable. When you lose the debate, you just go ad hominem.
  17. Can I have a pint of what Warren Lucy’s drinking? First time I’ve be glad of the intrusive iFollow ads. Absolutely shite.
  18. Fantastic from Elliott that. Got very lucky with the keeper deflection but credit for that run.
  19. EFL/FA: we recognise that fixture congestion is resulting in players getting injured so we are allowing clubs to make 5 subs. Mowbray: I’ll do what I’ve always done thanks. Rovers: Injury crisis.
  20. Nope. You build a team from the back. Mowbray agrees with you though, which is why we are where we are.
  21. Well that was bobbins. Particularly listening to the three stooges blather on about how well we’ve done. Better team my arse.
