Most Famous Blackburn Lad Ever?

Ursula Holden Gill (Alice Dingle - mother of Samson and married to Sam Dingle in Emmerdale) was born and bred in Blackburn. -
Fútbol, Le Foot, Voetbal, ποδόσφαιρο

Hope you don't mind my little alteration. By the way he is called Kane not Kean! -
Now that Platini has been exposed and deposed, maybe they will realise that FFP only benefits the big clubs and revise it, particularly below the top leagues.
-
Can't agree this time Abs. Hate United scum.
-
I had that reaction to tennis too. Still hate it.
-
Time to forget the best batsman we have? I think not!
-
We rely far too much on Root and need a better number 4/5. Time to beg KP to come back. If Strauss does not agree, sack him. He no longer plays anyway.
-
We may be winning but there is plenty of room for a quality batsman in the England upper order. If the captain and Root fail we are in deep Do Do.
-
As an effect of prejudice but certainly not on ability or form.
-
We have just been stuffed by Pakistan and appear to have only 4 batsmen capable of consistently making a score. I list Cook, Taylor, Root and Bell and that is being generous. In the meantime our best batsman (KP) is making centuries but will not be selected. It's absolutely ridiculous, whether the captain likes him or not.
-
True. We tend to forget that the Walker family starved us of investment for years before they offloaded us. Hiding behind the trust of course.
-
Your opinion, not necessarily the common opinion Shaun.Apart from the odd televised match and a few highlights on TV. Have you ever witnessed Spurr's long throws?
-
Of course it is. 20/20 is an abomination and is ruining the sport. It's all about money.
-
He always is Abs and " Not at all " followed by a repeat is not a discussion. It's just " I am right " and will be repeated until Rashid get's selected. Whether Rashid is the better bowler of not is an item for discussion and we may have them both in the Uae but at the moment, Root apart, the batting lineup is so weak that Moeen Ali is essential for his batting alone.
-
Chaddy has a bee in his bonnet about Rashid and just like his relentless criticism of Robbo he will pursue it until we are all sick of it or until he gets picked.
-
Where did I say KP should open? The way Lyth is batting No 3 is virtually opening anyway so promote Bell. Although he's not too steady either. Stop repeating the crap about playing for Surrey. We all know what happened then and he was crapped on again. It's like a broken record. Bairstow's situation is completely different. Strauss and Cook do not hate him.
-
I was in Cornwall last week too Abs. Had fish an chips at a pub on the Lizard. It was expensive but the best fish I have ever had in my life. The batter was as light as a feather and the freshly caught haddock just melted in the mouth. It spoiled me for Lancashire fish and chips for ever.
-
Of course I'm happy that the Aussies surrendered to us but the team could be so much better with KP in place of Lyth. Choosing teams because of personal dislikes is so wrong.
-
Of course it's true. I don't know how you have the gall to deny it!
-
Sorry not having that. We won the tests because Australia were unbelievably poor. KP is still our best batsman and the side would be better for his inclusion. Chaddy just backed the establishment as he invariably does.
-
Still our best batsman but with Joe Root now close behind.
-
KP is all right Jack. He's out in the Caribbean earning a mint. It's the England supporters and the cricket team that are losing out.
-
Is it the ECB or is it just Strauss and Cook with a personal chip on their joint shoulder?
-
The irony of that shouts at you.
