  1. Bournemouth currently losing. Plenty of time left in that match but a big, big opportunity for us if they drop points.
  2. True, but you could look at it another way and say TM was the one who pushed for a proper recruitment department which had been dismantled previously. That recruitment department has then gone onto pick up gems like Kaminiski. I would hazard a very strong guess that the first time TM had ever seen TK play was on his first day of training at Rovers. The change in the style of football has also meant the top clubs feel their best young players will be schooled in the right way here, hence the quality of loans.
  3. You can fault TM for his tactical nous (and I do!) but you can't fault his transfer dealings in the past two windows. Some real rabbits out of the hat being pulled. We now have three of the best young players in the country playing for us.
  4. If it's between us and Preston I'd be pretty confident Kipre would rather come here. Preston are on the downward spiral. I'd like to think we'd have a chance to sign Kipre permanently in the summer if he comes here on loan before the deadline. WBA are probably going to get relegated which will mean Kipre's wages will be slashed anyway next season so his wages may not be such a big issue.
  5. Their local journo saying it should get done before the deadline.
  6. I think we will sign Pickering. If Rich Sharpe is saying it’s drawing to a positive conclusion then it’s more or less a done deal.
  7. On a side note, what a player Dewsbury-Hall is for them. He’s top class. I can see him being in and around Leicester’s squad next season.
  8. What a win! Didnt see a goal coming but we did it. Holtby was the gamechanger. Lenihan MOTM closely followed by Douglas and Kaminski.
  9. An opportunity has opened up to get within touching distance of the play off places in what is a very winnable game at home. Can we take that opportunity? History says no.
  10. I hadn't heard of Pickering until about a week ago but he sounds highly rated so let's snap him up. Him and Kipre on permanent deals would be good business.
  11. Things you’d never thought you’d see: A good defensive performance from Rovers. Had a feeling it might be our day when they hit the post when it looked easier to score. Good win.
  12. Evans must be on big wages, same goes for Williams. Both are decent players when they're fully fit but the problem is they're never fully fit. Both need a retirement home.
  13. Interesting to see so many players out of contract in the summer. I would personally offer the following new deals: - Nyambe, Rothwell, Johnson, Holtby, Rankin-Costello. I would release: - Bell, Williams, Evans, Downing, Mulgrew, Bennet In terms of loan signings, Elliot is obviously incredible but no chance of him coming back for another year. Braithwaite is good too but he'll be in and around the Everton squad next year so that's unrealistic. Trybull is not good enough, Douglas has been poor but I'd be tempted to buy him on a cheap deal as back up. I think there's more to come from him.
  14. I think it's fair to say the majority of the fan base and the local media have lost faith in TM and rightly so. He's done a very good job here but just because someone has got us here does not mean they're the right person to get us to where we want to go. He's a solid championship manager but he's no more than that. I can see a change in the summer but I don't see one happening before then. A big, big opportunity missed this season and that's the frustrating thing. We wont have the likes of Armstrong and Elliot here next season, and quite possibly not Rothwell or Nyambe either, so there will be a rebuilding job to do. We've not at any point this season looked like maintaining a genuine promotion push to the prem. In fact we haven't since we've been relegated.
  15. Couldn't care less about the equalizing goal. Changes nothing in the context of our season. Poor.
  16. Sadly you could copy and paste that for a lot of our games this season. There’s no question that Mowbray should be fired but the chaotic structure at the club means he’s safe. All pretty grim.
  17. I’m pleased I didn’t bother watching as I knew this was going to happen. Draw at best now. Mowbray has been found out big time this season.
  18. I won't be watching the game; Stoke are abysmal but will probably sneak a goal and we'll spend the whole game huffing and puffing. No real excuses from this point onwards as we've got our best players back, a new central defensive addition, and a lighter schedule.
  19. That’s all any team needs to do against us sadly. We have to work so hard to score a goal yet other teams score against us so easily. There is no defensive shape.
