  1. Absolutely. No-one at all should be surprised by this. They are abusing their baby and we really, really need social services to step in. Like some others have suggested, tomorrow might be a make or break day for me in terms of which football club I feel morally able to support and spend my limited money and time on. Really sad. Fuck off Venkys.
  2. They could but it seems highly unlikely. Some cash in now appears to be important in the context of the postponed court hearing. I suspect that would rule Newcastle out as they have to sell.
  3. Watching the build up. It might just be the BBC Wales patriotic love-in, but I haven't half got a terrible feeling about this match.
  4. Worst/most pointless transfer rumours thread, ever. 😆😢
  5. A few, paraphrased, comments, from apparently genuine rovers fans, on that statement: "If Venkys ever left, the club would fold within two days" "No-one would ever buy a decaying football club" "Someone would need a spare £200 million to cover the debt before even taking over" "I pray every day that venkys don't leave". Insane.
  6. Bland placations that leave me wondering just how stupid they all think we are. We remain, clearly, screwed. At least until the owners clear up this little misunderstanding with the Indian government, eh? I despair.
  7. 27th January. The Venkyworld dream transfer window ticking along nicely, with Adam Wharton and Sam Gallagher still on track to be sold on deadline day and plenty of fans remaining excited to see the replacements- two 14 year olds on loan from Brighton. Good times.
  8. I honestly don't know, anymore. I'm just waiting and hoping, to be honest. What I can't do is accept any scenario with Venkys staying is in any way positive.
  9. All those things would be wonderful, but none are likely to happen. I'd settle for Venkys to be gone from Rovers, forever. I feel like I'd cry with joy and relief if just that were to happen.
  10. Did we, though? What's the payment structure on the deal? It seemed to take several weeks to negotiate. I don't think we know what has actually been paid? And I assume the wages are less than what we were paying Hill. Quids in, perhaps? Our market is cheap young players to replace experience and talent. It isn't a model thats likely to work well.
  11. I'd be amazed if he had any kind of windfall at all. Financially we were already screwed. If the postponed court decision means there is a delay in sending the money required to pay the bills then GB will have nothing more than his current 'healthy budget' to play with. The whole thing is a joke. DoF and a recruitment team, with no money. Its a farce. Selling Wharton will not be a positive, on any level.
  12. Absolutely. In the end Venkys are just dry-fucking us harder and harder. Anyone, anyone at all, who thinks we can wait for Venkys to change their MO, or happily negotiate and agree the sale of the club, is mad. We are screwed and need this whole charade to be brought to an end, urgently, before we are left even more of a shell of a club. I pray for admin and these bastards being forced away from OUR club so we can start again.
  13. We are not a club that does this. Anyone (I know you have just said "if") thinking selling Wharton gives us a chance to strengthen hasn't been paying attention. The apparent court non-decision means this will be our bill-paying money. And we lose our only creative central midfielder.
  14. Meaning money transfer not approved, yet?? Meaning sales needed urgently? (Wharton)
  15. I agree with you on the case study. But I very much doubt Rovers have much meeting agenda item time, over in Pune.
  16. Hi Den I definitely wouldn't 'prefer' that option, out of the two. But I'm trying to be realistic about the likelihood of each option and I would be amazed (and delighted) if Venky's ever put the club up for sale without being forced to do so. I really think our only hope of a change of ownership is for that decision being taken out of their hands. Do you see any reason to think Venky's are likely to voluntarily put the club up for sale, and what would that be based on?
  17. 19th January. I'm super-excited from this intentional build-up to the big reveal of Travis' upgrade replacement, the long awaited actual striker, and the rest of the "dream transfer window" recruits. Good times in the delusional alternative universe of VenkyRovers World.
  18. Some people are very gullible. Luton had an average attendance of something like 10,000 last year. Not much spent on transfers. But they were and are very well run (post a takeover when the club was at it's lowest ebb). This is why we need change. It is the ownership and leadership of our club that is to blame and not the fans (albeit we don't all help the situation, all the time!)
  19. Much more like: It would highlight their own incompetence in not finding out about something "in the public domain" and actually, you know, reporting it. journalistic incompetence or 'hush money' from the club/owners? I really don't see an alternative explanation.
  20. Chief rats being Venkys. Any chance you are referring to something about them - or is this, more likely, in relation to player/coach departures?
  21. Literally, our only hope for our club seems to lie in the hands of the Indian authorities investigating Venkys. I just don't see the point of anything else going on involving the club right now, including the matches.
  22. God help us. This looked likely from the moment the line up was announced. Venkys obviously remain to blame for where we are, of course. But JDT's selections and (total lack of) defensive coaching is contributing massively to this week after week of pain. He can't be immune from criticism for the repeated awful calls in selection and tactics. If he can't improve the defence then whats the point of us bothering turning up?
