  1. Then they'll have to settle for 8000 season-ticket holders and watch the money roll in at Preston and Bolton. We've always said they haven't a clue.
  2. Get rid of Waggot and appoint someone like Williams. Have regular dialogue with representative fans. Have a fans rep on the Board. Don't let player contracts run out. Aim to match season ticket sales of our local rivals rather than have an empty Ewood. 13000 cheaper season tickets would bring in more revenue than 8000 dear ones and give us a match day atmosphere. In general be proactive rather than reactive. Could go on but I'll finish with---don't swallow the idea that things can't be better. Edit---accidently wrote "80000"!!! LOL!!
  3. And they have one thing in common----they play or played for us. Who else runs things this badly? Has any other Championship club only made one signing at this stage---ie the day before the season opens? Why are we so badly run?
  4. For all his faults and without any sort of record of achievement at Ewood, there are still fans eager and willing to defend him. Beyond me.
  5. I don't know. We'd have had a better chance if we'd signed more players earlier though.
  6. All that is contingent on how we do in the early games with one signing.
  7. Its always great to start the season with a win but I think you're over-egging it there!
  8. So, you have a feeling that it'll be alright? That's not very reassuring to me.
  9. But ts just a dream I'm afraid. You're taking optimism to a new level.
  10. This really is twaddle. If we are to mount a promotion bid then we need as many points as we can get asap. "plenty of time to find the right players"?????? I'm struggling to find the right words. if someone told me you were a club plant I'd believe them!
  11. I really don't understand why you think there's any of either. Unless you simply want to.
  12. There have been windows where money was spent but alas where needs weren't met. However I'm prepared to believe that was down to "defenders are coming Tony" so I'll wait and and see. ie I'll believe it when I see it.
  13. Experience hasn't taught you anything then?
  14. So you're confident about the season and new signings, yet you don't know what's going on---so where's the optimism come from? Its unfounded isn't it? i'm worried because we knew for weeks and weeks that we needed 6 replacements --oven-ready, not youngsters and with 4 days to go we've signed one.
  15. I have no faith that Waggot can increase turnover. Only a genuine promotion bid will do that.
  16. Again, no panic, merely appropriate concern.
  17. That's an opinion , not a fact. We'll see. I hope you are right but a bit of insurance is urgently required
  18. Its going down every day! We wanted 6 at the start of the window and the number goes down as time drifts away!
  19. I don't think anyone is panicking as such but frustration and disappointment are being felt. We have been let down so often in transfer windows in recent times.
  20. Typical deflective ,meaningless response from Nixon. Course we would like him! He knows nothing on this one!
  21. Biggest con out that one. Tells us we're on a journey, as if we are gradually building up a side that can achieve something. In reality relied on 12 months loans year after year.
  22. That would be the bees knees! A sign of real intent.
