  1. Any reduction in budgets are yet (up to 30/6/23) to be reflected in the expenses shown in our accounts. It will be interesting to see what the next accounts show a big drop in outgoings (and hard to explain why if they don’t)
  2. ‘In the case of free transfers, this guide should be ignored’
  3. The fact the amount of compensation is part of a Premier League initiative says it all.
  4. That made me laugh more than it should 😁
  5. and our average attendance was over 15,000.
  6. I’d love to know what he’s learnt from being at Rovers.
  7. 1200 (ish) after 1 day 800 (ish) more after the next 3 days. Seems like quite a drop off to me and not quite as positive as they’re trying to make out.
  8. Yet another example of the big clubs assuming the rules don’t apply to them: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cz77d910jkdo
  9. I’m not sure why you all let him take you down the rabbit hole.
  10. But they’re willing to do so in a meeting with a fan’s group? As you said earlier, we’ll find out soon enough whether they can or they can’t send further funds. I actually hope you are right.
  11. They didn’t say there’s no future impediments, they said there shouldn’t be any - a subtle but important difference. Here’s the link: https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/march/18/club-statement--18-03-24-/
  12. I’ll believe the club when they provide some evidence to back this up.
  13. The case is due to be heard 10 days before the window closes. Anyone feel confident we could complete a deal (let alone multiple ones) in that timeframe?
  14. The £190 million is the total losses the company has made and is irrelevant for FFP purposes (as you know, only the last three years matter for this) (I think, but haven’t double checked, our total losses are running at over £300 million) As @arbitro post alludes to, there’s a big difference between complying with FFP and a club’s cash flow position. They certainly appear to be ‘in the shit’
  15. The allowable losses relate to the division a club is in during the relevant accounting periods. So Leeds were allowed to lose £105 million over the three years up to 2023 (3 x £35 million) For the three year period to the end of their 2024 accounting period it will be £83 million (2 x £35 million for 2 PL years + £13 million for 1 EFL year) All these figures are subject to their owners having put in the requisite amount of their own money.
  16. Rod Stewart - You Wear It Well
  17. What would they receive a penalty for? They appear to be inside the allowable losses for the last three accounting periods (given they were in the PL)
  18. The Beatles - The Long And Winding Road
  19. Unless I’ve missed something, he’s the only one of the promoted managers not being linked to the Chelsea job. His wonderfulness appears to be solely in his own head.
  20. Yesterday they had 42.6% possession. Does he think a single Saints fan went away saying ‘that wasn’t the way to win’? What a plonker.
  21. Noted 😀 Roxette - It Must Have Been Love
  22. The Smiths - Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now Allowed?? 😁🤞
  23. Who did you go to the match with?
  24. It’s only ‘as much’ as that because our academy is Cat A. Brentford pulled out of the EPPP, perhaps more clubs should do the same.
