  1. Thank you. When you were active did the panel seek your input on any of your decisions which were appealed?* * this question is in no way an assumption that you got any decisions wrong 😄
  2. It’s just in the box: DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY (DOGSO) Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball or a challenge for the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.), the offending player must be sent off. Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).
  3. No conclusive evidence yet the ref got it right. 🤔
  4. I get complaints about that too 😄
  5. Why would PNE be our biggest game? They are nobodies.
  6. I’m not sure but ignoring that - a push in a defender’s back is always (well nearly always it would seem) a foul these days.
  7. From what I’ve read on here tonight, Leo would either have definitely saved or definitely not have saved the subsequent shot on goal.
  8. Bread - Make It With You
  9. I suspect you’d have waved play on for all of these…😄

  11. If you got the ball, it didn’t matter if you got the man as well…
  12. This is the relevant rule (part of law 12): 1. Direct free kick A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences against an opponent in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: charges jumps at kicks or attempts to kick pushes strikes or attempts to strike (including head-butt) tackles or challenges trips or attempts to trip If an offence involves contact it is penalised by a direct free kick or penalty kick. Careless is when a player shows a lack of attention or consideration when making a challenge or acts without precaution. No disciplinary sanction is needed Reckless is when a player acts with disregard to the danger to, or consequences for, an opponent and must be cautioned Using excessive force is when a player exceeds the necessary use of force and endangers the safety of an opponent and must be sent off A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences: a handball offence (except for the goalkeeper within their penalty area) holds an opponent impedes an opponent with contact bites or spits at someone on the team lists or a match official throws an object at the ball, opponent or match official, or makes contact with the ball with a held object
  13. I feel like we should send out a search party…
  14. The ups and downs of being a Rovers fan. 😀
  15. Luton 1 win in 11 but not in the relegation zone.
  16. I imagine most of that was spent this summer.
  17. Did anyone attend Rovers vs Leeds in December ‘64? - I have a programme for this match which I’m trying to find a good home for.
  18. But some pointing that Mr Andrews would have been proud of.
  19. The Ronettes - Baby I Love You
  20. It probably depends on the point he’s trying to make.
