  2. The next owners of the club might not be the next owners of the training ground.
  3. Cliff Richard - Wired For Sound
  4. I was going to suggest someone pops down to see if the lights are still on but it appears there’s at least one person in the building… Perhaps ‘working hard with our providers’ = ‘desperately trying to agree a payment plan’ 🤔
  5. In the sense they’ll sell it and ‘not give a fuck’ what this means to the team? They’d probably spin this as ‘reluctantly having to sell it in order to guarantee the future of the club…’
  6. Does anyone know whether VLL going into administration (as against Rovers) would make a difference to the punishment we’d receive? I’m assuming it doesn’t as that would be a massive loophole but this is the EFL we’re talking about…
  7. I’m not sure you’d find a brain to implant it in.
  8. I know a quick way of saving around £270,000. Sack Waggott and employ a monkey instead - the added bonus is the club would be run better as well…
  9. Why would opening the stand necessitate the same staffing levels irrespective of the number of tickets sold?
  10. I’d love to hear the argument for why it isn’t the home end… Instead of thinking of ways to increase the crowd they’d rather shove them all in front of the cameras so it ‘looks good on the tele’.
  11. Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast
  12. Paul McCartney & Wings - Band On The Run
  13. Other way around. Balaji born 1972, new chap born 1959.
  14. how about your wife’s though?? 😁
  15. I hope you’re right but why would that necessitate him becoming a director?
  16. I agree with you about worldwide investment being a good thing but this Indian law definitely says it is forbidden unless approval is sought (and granted). I also agree with your second and third paragraphs although I don’t know if this a ‘tax fiddle’ or something else entirely. As with most (all?) things with the Venky’s, their motivations are as clear as mud.
  17. The Indian Law in question forbids overseas investment unless permission is granted. If permission is granted it comes with conditions attached. It would appear buying Alexander House was a breach of these conditions.
