  1. and understand the importance of the ‘intangible benefits’ of more bums on seats.
  2. I’ve found an LT report from 2009 saying we’d sold 17,500 (Blackburn End and Riverside almost sold out) with three weeks to go ‘til the start of that season. The report includes John Williams defending the decision not to extend the £199 offer* to the Darwen End. It mentions they were hoping to match the 95/96 figure of circa 19,000. *3rd cheapest tickets in the whole league (behind Huddersfield and Accrington) Williams also talks about how good it would be to get even more fans in the ground - no mention of the extra revenue though…
  3. By way of comparison, Luton’s highest paid director had a salary of £662,414 plus pension contributions of £7,378. I’ll leave others to decide which club got the better value for money…
  4. Our last set of accounts had our highest paid director (presumably SW) as having a salary of £271,413 + pension contributions of £1,321. If it’s any consolation, this is lower than the previous year’s figure.

  13. The flyer doesn’t even say ‘from’ - it just has the cheapest price for each age category.
  14. How about this ‘responsibility’ for the Head of Marketing role: ’Cultivate the customer journey, attracting and capturing new fans, converting fans into customers and growing customer relationships’ Does anyone feel like they’ve been ‘converted’?? Edit - they obviously overlooked this ‘requirement’: ’high level of knowledge in Marketing with a proven track record of working within a senior marketing position’ (the bit in bold is described as ‘essential’)
  15. It’s easy to meet (and even beat) a target if you’ve set it yourself.
