I think that’s true of any ‘unusual tactic’ Personally, I’d have sent out the instruction (to Root and Robinson) to ‘give it a twat’ We would either have added another 40ish runs or lost the last 2 wickets quickly and still had a bowl at them. I’d also be interested in the thinking behind Robinson bowling instead of Andersen. All that being said, Stokes certainly has plenty of ‘credit in the bank’ to make whatever decisions (within reason 😁) he wants. I was talking about if they made the decision to revert to the early bird prices for this season not next. Regarding making up the £800,000 you mention - this would take selling an additional 2,857 tickets (at £280). This doesn’t seem like an unrealistic target to me, but unless we try we’re never going to know.
