That part of the regulations begins with the wording ‘the ESC player has, within the 12 months following the date on which he was granted a GBE’ Further proof (if any was needed) that your first scenario was the correct one…

The first part of the requirement is: Surely this indicates the first of your scenarios must be correct (ie the date of initial registration is the relevant one) Which brings us back to…has the club acted upon this??

So why are you saying it has to be deliberate when for three of them it does not? Personally I wish they’d just go back to deliberate being the only way it can be an offence - it’s one of the many many rules they’ve over complicated for no reason whatsoever.
