Always a tough assignment but to just not show up is pathetic yet again. Sick of this weak as piss team at times they'll do well to finish 12th this season and i don't want to hear bus or young excuses today. It was crap there is nothing up top yet he starts Briitain up there again but leaves Ennis benched again. Brittain also needs fining for that stupidity. -

That was awfully weak defending and goalkeeping yet again there, not good enough at any level it's all basic stuff. This side is still so piss weak where it matters and age isn't an excuse. -

1300 going down there another excellent Saturday afternoon following. -
£250 BBE £150 concessions £299 other lower tiers £ 160 concessions £399 upper Aim to sell 12k, matchday prices stay the same. Any shortfall can be made up by the inevitable summer sale(s) and pulling their fingers out and finding a way to do some deals that charge large away followings more than home fans. Doesn't matter if the home uptake isn't great for these as most will be on STs anyway.

My experience with Amstel leads me to say that's still £2.50 too much 😂 -

But will only play 5 mins according to JDT. -
Why would they come up with 'digital day' anyway other than a taster for things to come ? It's a nothing, a complete nonsense that the only difference is you can't rock up and pay on the day at the stadium like thousands normally do. There is absolutely no point to it other than a modicum of fake virtue signalling to the green farce and saving ticket office expenses by inconveniencing the most important people - the paying customers. And in the end probably losing a lot of money to boot if a lot decide to not bother. I absolutely despair of this lot i really do.

Anybody regardless of age or digital ability/access should be able to walk up to their local professional football club 30 mins before kick off and buy a ticket to access the match. It is a 110% complete load of bollocks. -
I almost get the impression they think it's ok whoever doesn't come will stump up a tenner and watch it online anyway so they still get £ from it. That's the kind of stupid attitude i'd attribute to the people in there and even if they are smartphone generation know no different youngsters the fella running it isn't. They are actively pushing people away from these games and there has to be a reason why, surely it isn't just a lack of common sense.

Then 24 hrs before the game their ticket site will probably be down again. Save a few hundred quid on staff whilst losing ten or twenty grand putting people off going, that is the logic down there. There are people in that club who don't deserve any fans let alone a wage from it. Get ready for a 3.5k gate. -

That was one of the worst Rovers efforts iv'e ever seen close to the FA cup game at home v Millwall. When i say worst i mean when there was something to play for and we didn't even have a go. -
So they open the end but then make buying tickets impossible for walk ups and those who want to buy and give as an Xmas gift. Digital day my arse it's just an experiment for things to come and a chance to highlight hey we don't need the BBE there was only 200 in it. The day that prick departs cannot come soon enough although his parting shot will be to lose JDT like he lost 4 or 5 good players for nothing. Useless ingrate wage thief.

Was hoping there'd be 16/17k home fans there seeing as it is in effect a Christmas Holiday fixture. Although at normal price it would probably be barely 12k home fans so it'll surely outdo that ! -

But we'd do similar in the cup if needs must and it's by no means guaranteed we'd get pounded. Sometimes the bigger picture is more important. -

Would we be tempted to make a lot of changes for this in and rest some legs in the hope of preventing more injuries ? Give others a chance like a cup game and hope for the best ? Busy Christmas period coming up so it might be worth a gamble. -

Always enjoy a winning team however it comes and no fan even at Rovers isn't going to not enjoy a promotion season. To be honest though even though we got the job done at a bit of a canter at the end by god we weren't half shite in that season many times. We just had the depth of squad and quality to get us through it but the football was anything but exciting for 75% of it. It a team like us is ever going to go up we'll have to do it by biting scratching kicking and screaming and yes sometimes boring our way to the needed points total. -

My point being that non of that excuses Mowbray for the insipid stuff previously when he was basically allowed to build his own squad. Albeit with limited funds and although i'll praise him for the good work he did in the first few years i don't put much stock into the last season at all. It was 5 months of him finally rolling his sleeves up and encouraging his young side to have a go but when it went wrong he didn't have a clue, spat his dummy out and was more concerned with sulking about his own situation and encouraging players to move on. He undid a lot of his good work that's why he doesn't get much praise on here these days although it's harsh not acknowledge the ownership void he worked under. As did/does everyone else in this era. -

He seemed to do better at both clubs when he worked with what he had and added a few astute signings, it was the same at Boro at first. Left to his own devices to play around with things as he saw fit within a low but not non existent budget he went nowhere and it seems Sunderland saw the flashing warning lights early. -

Agree with a lot of that but can't let it pass without mentioning Mowbray had his best championship season here after his budget was cut and a lot of his previous options were gone. He was forced to use what he had and the freshness told in the first 5 months before a combination of factors meant it went tits up. No coincidence either that he goes into Sunderland and with someone else's squad gets them in the top 6 before reverting to type this season. For several years he had relative luxury to do his own thing compared to what JDT has had, he also didn't have a DoF giving him players and instructions. He did at Sunderland and last more than a season and a bit, so all things considered JDT is streets ahead of old Tone. -
Just didn't fit what JDT needed is the honest truth of this one i think but he suited playing a more tradition no 9 role a league below. Now hes filled out a bit as these young lads often do he's robust enough to cut it in the Championship in a side whose style suit his strengths rather than expose his weaknesses. Ipswich play a bit of old school aggressive stuff that is good to watch, no nonsense fannying around they get it into the box quickly from wide and often look to play off a central striker in there. Some of the link up play from Hirst has been excellent and what we've missed for years but we don't play that way now so chances are if he was still here he'd still struggle.

We only have about 9.5k ST holders but it has struck me increasing amounts of them now swerve evening games as well as the daft o'clock kick off times. I think its just become way too easy to stick it on the box now especially for the older fans and family groups. It's a concern because a lot of them then get to next season and think well i missed a load last year so i'll not bother this time. Only thing that swings that is incentive of attractive pricing otherwise we continue to lose fans with the type of small town family orientated and ageing demographic we have. -

Nah i think it's obvious there would always have been a signing like Tele to replace Vale. There was no money to spend anyway so as GB said there wasn't a massive sea change in their targets. Ennis on a 4 year deal was clearly to replace Dack in the squad whilst the plan on the pitch was to utilize Sammie more as a goal threat. Leonard would probably have gone on loan so that is where the budget cuts came into play and they kept him. There was never a plan to invest big in a forward i don't think, hence Ennis is somewhat of a marquee gamble that has so far failed to ignite.
