  1. I liked the look of him from the brief bit we've seen he has a bit of size and presence which is something we badly lack.
  2. I suspect he has been waiting for an opportunity to shut it for these games for a long time and now one has presented itself.
  3. Waggots idea of reducing costs is to quite simply shrink the club because the guy hasn't got one iota how to grow it. If when JDT bails he'll get the cheapest young do as you're told coach he can find next if it's up to him. Iv'e been saying it since he rocked up he's a downgrader he has no experience of anything else.
  4. The exact cop out answer expected there. There never seems to be more than 2 or 3k tickets sold in advance of these games but come the night there'll be 5k plus there. Again nothing new there and never needed the end closed before it's just pathetic penny pinching and like when govt do these type of things as a one off it's a hint of things to come.
  5. He found his niche at RWB that's his position and the odd cameo in midfield is just a bonus. Of course he has one good half game in there last season and there is a clamour to start him there, well hes shown now why he was never breaking into a midfield slot in the first place. He's a RWB.
  6. As we've said before Buckley and Wharton should be the guys vying for that central mid spot and probably what JDT had in mind once he'd got Buckley up to speed again in training. No option now but to keep chucking on raw kids and hoping for the best but then again the directors have zero ambition for the club other than putting a bit of value into players.
  7. We brought him in, unfit and gave him a 4 year contract despite those already worrying fitness and mins on the pitch stats. Then we have a head coach who basically said you've brought me an unfit player what am i supposed to do with him ? I struggle to get my head around all this it's not the kind of gamble clubs like us should be making.
  8. For now i'd be re acquainting him with the U 21s I suspect there is interest in him from elsewhere and if once his agent change goes through they don't get him a good deal at Ewood he'll be off in Jan.
  9. To have to try and create 50 chances every game just to get one or two goals is going to bite us on the arse more times than it will be productive when we are so frail at the back in this style. It's as simple as that really.
  10. Garret really needed a loan out i like the lad but he's a headless chicken. Buckley should have been one to bring on tonight although as i said on Sat this style is too open we desparetly need a holding mid in there. We signed one and tonight he plays for the U21s !!!
  11. Well we could go and get a one nil win but much more likely to lose heavily with this seasons style. 1-3 Ipswich
  12. Actually really angry at that tonight i knew it would pan out that way pretty much scripted it. Naivety all over the place and in the technical area, awful use of subs. These defeats are becoming self inflicted and that is worrying.
  13. Nah we don't want a fur coat and no knickers job tonight.
  14. New pitch looked great on Saturday so hopefully the new surface has improved drainage wise, couple of hours fine weather before kick off it should be good to go.
  15. We need a Burnleyesqe effort from Wharton tonight it should be quite an open game so it should suit him. After 65 mins he'll probably need to be taken off though. Sunderland were one of the best sides to come to Ewood last season and i see tonight being no different.
  16. Yes and the Cardiff fans could have been easily housed in an end section instead of the DE.
  17. Lets get past tonight first before we write Saturday off.
  18. Why is Tony playing in goal for them or something ? You really need to get a grip with this obsessive defending Mowbray like a love sick teenager buddy. Being glad we moved him on doesn't mean everyone hates him or thinks he's crap, he isn't but he's better suited to where he is now than he was here by the end. You should be happy for him.
  19. If it puts 500 or so people off attending which is a pretty good estimate i'd say then that is roughly 5 grand less in takings. Probably what it costs to actually open that end anyway so it is totally and utterly pointless all it's doing is pissing people off needlessly. Also of equal importance is absolutely shite for the team what happens if it goes to pens and we won the toss ? Lets take them in front of a couple of thousand of our fans, er.... maybe not then.
  20. Keeper did well there he looked half decent for Boro, keepers rarely get any credit when someone misses a one on one type situation.
  21. Probably didn't have much to do with any of that i'd stake my last quid on he'd have preferred to give the plodder another contract rather than the hassle of change. Just doesn't strike me as having that much forward thinking unless it involved cost cutting.
  22. Anybody who wants a pint of Amstell is seriously desperate for anything remotely bordering on resembling lager.
  23. We really need to think about getting Gally fit and moving him on in Jan for the money he's on it's just a waste now because he isn't that good when he plays. Iv'e tended to defend him and there was a valid value for money argument when he plays most weeks and puts the graft in with the odd goal. Surely by now though with the gaffer and set up we have we can find a better way to use 15/20k a week instead of it being in the treatment room or at home playing dad.
  24. We never sell many before these games most are sold on the run up or night so lets not start rewriting history to try and justify closing an end. We never get big crowds for them and there is always more in the JW than the BBE but that isn't the point at all.
