I suspect we'll be finding that out unless we get our act together sharpish. -

Should have brought him back years ago and given him backing and he'd have got this club up. He'll do nothing now though with what is available here the best guy for that job is already in the job but he needs at least the backing the midtable maestro got. -

Carter no he's just a young player hit a sticky patch but he'll be fine he's suffered more than most with the open style this season. Pears absolutely fine as back up to a decent no 1, hopefully Leo. The other 3 yes correct. -

Any club or set of owners that weren't on the cliff edge of a financial meltdown would look at finishing 8th then 7th as a massive opportunity. They'd do all they could within their means to give it that little extra push and hope to crack the top 6. Not this lot though, oh no instead it provides an opportunity to cut the budget and reduce the club to fishing in a tiny pond and filling the squad with even more cheap youth. All whilst having the brightest most ambitious young coach they've ever had who probably costs half of some of the previous shite. -

He's enough about him to turn it around but just hope the squad has and i think they have they just need to dig a win out quickly. One of the issues for me is he seems to have tried to move the project forward on the pitch by too much of stretch without getting the backing he deserved and it so desperately needed. Wrong call it needed a rethink as the second half of last season was a struggle with a stronger group. -

From his office to the training pitch and back every day for the next 8 months . -

Trouble is you can't hang your hat on any of them and by the time they are fit another few won't be. Paper thin cutback squad means we'll pay the price. -

Deserved a draw tonight and looked far more solid which gives a bit of hope for future away games but we really need to start picking points up. Too many games throw away already this season with fur coat no knickers football so nice to see JDT has wised up a bit. -
Totally agree, there has been a big reduction in profit in one of their companies and to me that was the biggest issue the tax and investigation have just compounded it but a cut was on the cards anyway. A 15% cut on a 15 mill budget is c2.25 million which is massive to the club but nothing to them, is it really worth it for the harm it does.

He didn't even bring him on tonight. Why would he sign a player with such an iffy fitness record for such a high intensity style of play in the first place ? There's a difference between being fit and being JDT fit so surely any medical reflects that ? -

It's a shadow of what it was when these lot first turned up, just like everything else. -

The head coach did question the state of him on arrival i'm not sure what is mind boggling about that. -
Ditto 3 lads from our neck of the woods sacked it off out of sheer anger.

Is there even a court case ? Seems to be an investigation which could go on forever and poke into many dark corners whilst assets have been frozen. If they are hit with a fine to get them unfrozen and are refusing to pay it then it might go to court. If there is a pending court case for tax dodging it could get very messy indeed. However these people probably have 100s of millions of liquid cash and personal assets so it shouldn't be too difficult to get some into the club if they really wanted. Can't dodge company tax that way though eh.

We gave a guy with a poor history of being fit enough to play full or even 45 mins a 4 year contract so that kind of security to that kind of player is a no brainer for him. I'd suggest that is why he jumped at the chance we can only hope his weekly wage reflects his fitness history. No doubt he's a decent forward with some goals in him but as it is we've just swapped a quality but expensive luxury guy in Dack for a cheaper alternative. Who also can't cope with the JDT demands. -

Sounds a bit desperate he'll be out for another 3 weeks if he gets 20 mins. -
Waggot is like a lazy old hound who decides to crap in his own basket because it's easier than going outside.
-
When long standing Coventry fans have previously got to know of his words and actions and attempted actions over the last few years at Rovers there have often been similarities drawn. The guy has a one size fits all blueprint for going backwards it seems.
-
It's obvious he shaved a thousand off the crowd by closing that end all previous evidence backs that up. So the whole thing was pointless it would have paid for itself and more importantly given a few quid to the people who missed out on a few hours work. The guy is a complete tosser if people didn't see through it before they damn well should now. He'll have been itching to shut the BBE for most cup games for years and recent events involving India have given him the excuse he was looking for. Club still advertising for various roles so can't be that skint.
-
To think we had people at the club like him who stood there doing the dirty work for their pieces of silver knowing not only was it poor from a football perspective but that it would decimate the fanbase even more. If Charlie had anything about him other than riding the gravy train he'd have walked on principle.

He stood there and basically said he'd talked the owners out of going for the double bounce and yes he wanted well for the club but in his eyes that was a stable plod to midtable safetly land year on year. -

Most seem to be expecting another 'best team we've played' hard luck story at Coventry. -
The irony with Waggot is he is by far the most qualified for the job these lot have ever employed. Cousin Vinny The guy who was here 5 mins and got himself sacked by asking for a payrise, Hunt was it ? Then there was nobody for a while, then there was Shaw Agnew Shebby Finally a guy with some sort of football administration and executive experience although no doubt brought into the building by those who provided managers at the time. In many ways he's the right man to keep a club surviving on life support but very much the wrong man to use a half decent budget well or build a club up using every tool in the box. But we are skint again now anyway.
