Could this be the game that suits us and we finally come up against a team that has a bad night in front of goal whilst we gobble up a few chances ? Trouble is we need to be 3 up at half time to have a chance of coming away with something so i think same team/tactics then same outcome. Cov 3 Rovers 1 -

Despite giving him some stick which i feel is justified there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind if he had a budget - yes an actual budget because lets face it he hasn't got one at all - then even playing this style we'd be a bit better off points wise. He does however now like last season after the Bumley and PNE poundings need to wise up hold his hand up and alter tack a bit before we play ourselves right into the mire. -

A player who came here to further his career it was inevitable at some point a Prem club comes calling. What we shouldn't do is replace him with the back up keeper and a rookie but lessons never get learned at Ewood under this ownership. -

I notice the clamour for Leo has tempered a bit recently after we've let plenty goals in during his 1.5 game appearance. Rovers really should have signed an experienced back up keeper which would also help with the coaching of the others. -

That was Mowbray playing Peterborough or Rotherham at home and most clubs in league 1. Remember a home game when he doubled up on Rochdales, i think it was, left back because he was quick ? -

I really wouldn't want Warnock there was a time yes but not now, if things get worse though he might be the only man for the job considering what he did at Hudds. -

There are plenty running around saying it isn't his fault it's the situation we are in or just bad luck every week because our chances don't go in and the oppositions do. I'm merely pointing out he has to shoulder responsibility for some of it just like any other gaffer does, Fans opinions and comments aren't exclusive to this board if you looked further afield you'd see a lot saying it isn't his fault. Similar you'll see the odd nutter saying it's all his fault. -

Hes just had 3 teams on the bounce in the league bringing 3k+ fans so he'll be looking good in Pune with his takings figures. -

I actually have as much sympathy for him as JDT on the what he has to work with narrative. They clearly brought him in for his knowledge of cheap Scandi/Euro markets similar to Tomasson himself. Tiny budget and has to find players that we need in certain positions but that fit the Head coaches system and will come to BRFC, relocate and not get a fortune for it - by footballs standards. Siggy is a plus, Leo we don't know yet but i think Benson was in on that one, Moran a good signing, Tronstad is ok from what iv'e seen but underused. Hill i think will be decent and should be in the team now, Ennis a very silly signing, a desperate one. As was Tele but they've had a remit for a young striker to develop all along, Hirst was the guy but for some reason that went wrong. Now we have what appears to be a downgrade on even him but time will tell. So a mixed bag really so far. -

'Best team we've played this season' is the new 'too good to go down' I've no doubt we'll pound someone sooner or later but the odd big win doesn't justify all these defeats. -

Anyway we've dealt with the negatives but again there were a few positives today. Several decent individual performances and we caused the best side in the division plenty problems. Officials yet again useless way too card happy for both sides. Pitch is standing up well and we probably got a few quid towards the state of the art bus hire if someone else was using it !!!! -

It's a really tough system for our 2 centre backs to play in i don't envy them one bit it's making them look bad at times and they aren't. If we had Ryan Nelson and Chris Samba in there we'd probably be top of the league, but we haven't. -

Of course it's ok the buck stops with him so enough of this JDT can do no wrong nonsense. We know what he's up against but he's gone from protecting the back 4 and dodgy keeper last season and grinding out results in awful games to adopting a style that throws them under the bus. That's on him. -

Just watched the Pears toe incident back and look on JDTs face when he came off said it all. We'll be down to the bare bones before mid October at this rate and now there is another rookie in the sticks. I don't care what they paid for him or what ONE cap for his country says to some the lad is a rookie at this level walking into a side that concedes for fun. -

We are in some ways but he has to address it matchday tactics are on him. Number of times so many are committed forward into good positions then we play short pass tap ball slowly around their area. Comes to nothing, we lose it and are then wide open at the back the law of averages states teams with better forwards will punish you if you keep giving them opportunities. -

Difference is they are a team and club being built up and built upon from the foundations and promotion laid by the previous manager. Similar to how we were in TMs early years except the club itself has ambition. All we have here is downgrading with nothing more intention wise than treading water. -

That's the thing with developing players at this level it doesn't matter who they are or how good potential they always hit sticky patches and need a break. It's basic football management principles but here now they play one or two decent games and that's it your a first team regular. And as back up we tend to have even less experienced guys. -

This is getting ridiculous now you can script it every week and playing against sides like that the way we do is suicidal. If you are one of those who revels in possession and short pass in the final third stats as an excuse to 'trust the process' i suggest you wobble your heed. Pats on the back every week for that don't turn young and average layers into multi million quid targets for other teams. That's the thinking here though. If this was Coyle or Mowbray they'd be getting pelters now so it's about time this fella pulled his head out of his arse !!!! -

It has on closer inspection with the exception of Diaz who left for nothing after costing around 7 million. Raya money went towards Gallagher, confirmed by Mowbray himself at the time. Armstrong money keeps getting brought up but the profit from that was around 4 million and when it came into the accounts last summer it was spent on Hyam and Brittain etc. -
Well he wanted games so being there maybe he'll learn it's not so bad being a squad man here after all.

2019 academy prospect Raya was sold 2021 young signing then developed Adam Armstrong was sold for 3 times more than was paid. In between Bradley Dack would have been sold had he not been injured and Ben Brereton was signed with the clear intention to develop and sell for profit. Of course that has always been the intention it was just never forced on Mowbray but he raked in at the time c7 million profit on those two. So the funders were happy value was going into the squad and there when needed. Now sales are being forced again but they wouldn't be able to be if there wasn't value, even small value from developed players. The real issue is the gross incompetence of them letting 4 or 5 players slip through the net for nothing. I doubt that was the intention but somewhere along the line they all right royally ballsed up again.
