  1. Really should've cashed in on him this summer as long as the money went to another striker, 2 mill looks good right now. To be fair to him though at least hes delivered some goals and graft contribution over the length of his time here but another daft signing all things considered.
  2. 15 million if you add in the fee Mowbray and co spewed on him for some unfathomable reason when the rest of the team was so desperate for investment. Now if they'd found another decent young player for 2 or 3 million and sold him similar to the Arma scenario we'd have been a lot better off. I know he turned out good briefly 2 years after arriving but the BBD deal from start to finish is one of the worst deals Rovers have ever done. Only consolation is he didn't cost 30 grand a week in wages for 4 years as far as we know but although the loss on his fee probably worked out around that.
  3. Not sure i feel for Ainsworth he went into a struggling team and has made them worse by looks of it.
  4. It doesn't help when people and the club kept trumpeting 'we've sold out the away END' instead of sold our allocation or sold out away section. I think it's a big stretch of anyone's imagination to think we'd sold 3k for a trek down there whilst in the bottom 3rd of the championship.
  5. Yep it's the fitness and intensity side he needs to work on i think they threw him in to have a look and no harm in that but needs a few months hard graft out of sight now to build up stamina.
  6. He'll be in a dark room listening to Coldplay tonight whilst JDT will be up the West End drinking Carlsberg and jaeger bombs.
  7. Great win and Burnley, Knobbers, Bolton ..oh and Sunderland all spanked, great day.
  8. Got everything right today hopefully the start of a turnaround and some pennies have dropped a little earlier than last season.
  9. It's nice to be a bit unpredictable as long as we keep getting some good results. Excellent today can't fault anything except the lack of Tronstad in previous games.
  10. As Upside said i think part of the idea behind it is try to try and create more and score more involving half the team because we've lost our main source of goals and can't afford nor seem capable of getting another.
  11. People keep saying Wharton isn't a patch on last season as if he played 40 games when all we really had were glimpses. He's a kid learning on the job and still developing physically, mentally as well as football wise so give the kid a break FFS! At any other club he'd be eased in and out but here he's thrown in because we are short and there is a desperation to get him worth money and sell. Similarly with Carter they are both playing in a different more open style to last season and both get exposed more than they should.
  12. Could be because the emphasis seems very much on the one touch pour forwards stuff which we are the best in the div at. Outside of our first 3rd and the last quarter of the pitch.
  13. I thought he looked decent against Leicester also in terms of confidently moving the ball about. That's his strength but he's a novice being asked to do an experienced mans job when we get stretched on the counter so much. Plus he's knackered after 65 every game.
  14. Crying out for a solid defensive mid to protect the back line playing this style. I thought Tronstad was supposed to be that guy.
  15. That's what three quarters of one game where we didn't conceded versus numerous where we have with that pairing, which granted seems to be the wrong way around with Travis going fwds. I don't know what it is with the coaching at this club but every time there is a midfielder with a bit of attacking flair they seem to want to instantly convert them into a defensive holding mid.
  16. People knock on doors to buy football clubs but the amount of layers here the owners will never get to know about it anyway. Why would guys in the middle earning 100-300k a year in their dream jobs ever do anything to facilitate a sale.
  17. Might not be a popular opinion but with Wharton out i think we'll be a lot tighter in the middle and might even concede less than 2.
  18. Saw a thing on social media the other night listing all championship clubs official away followings so far this season and the only one N/A was...... Rover police normally tweet the tickets sold and number travelling before away games yet they didn't for Coventry as far as i'm aware. So yes it looks like they are blanking away ticket numbers all of a sudden unless it's the usual incompetence and nobody knows.
  19. Around 1100 initial allocation sold out i believe which is still a great effort.
  20. This is the one where we get the balance right. QPR 1 Rovers 2 Providing we score first of course !
  21. That would be a stretch even for him and his squeeze what you've got for all you can agendas.
  22. There are no words for how cruel life can be. Hope they can get it treated.
  23. We probably couldn't afford any kind of manager so chances are someone would get promoted the head coach or they'd bring in some ex footballer off the scrapheap on a week to week contract.
