Nothing summed that rat up more than this and at best his judgement was pure awful - he did talk of Lowe in similar terms as well - or he was just the corrupt scum trying to sell a dream based on lies whilst he got rich quick. There is a reason no English club has ever gone anywhere near him in a decade ! -

Indeed, whilst we still need a reliable striker up top and it will still keep biting his on the arse we've got to credit JDT and the players. He has managed to do something Mowbray constantly talked about but never achieved in creating a side that can chip in with a goal from almost any position. To be fair his focus always seemed to be setting the side up for one of the wide forwards to prosper first and foremost. Modern thinking now though is proving better than old school. -
I think he needs a rest it seems it has all just caught up with him post international duty. Last couple of games he hasn't really looked good starting so maybe the bench on Sat although do not want to go back to Dolan starting there. That didn't work.

Because we are a development squad it's as simple as that really. -
Distant and detached ownership yet again being the major obstacle probably. If a bill suddenly needs paying due to an oversight or contract change/breach but there is no money or immediate authorisation to spend it then we run into problems. Days gone by one of the directors or chairmen would just foot the bill then claim it back or waver it. Not now, can't see Suhail or Steve fishing out the credit card and saying 'i got this'.

I think some or all of that is classic Waggot stuff. Top end of the operation will always lose tens of millions and the Indian finance men are trying various slippery ways to plug the gap. Meanwhile poundshop Steve is wriggling around at the bottom end saying look look iv'e saved 750 quid on matchday expenses, i'm doing my bit. All a bit pointless in the grand scheme of things and pissing off your core support is totally counterproductive but something that doesn't resonate with him as long as he hits a target and guarantees his own wages.

Boltons demise began in similar fashion with training ground / car park sales etc when like you say money had to be paid back. So we now have a no doubt huge bank overdraft that Vs can't pay down in the usual fashion, training ground rent plus new borrowings and i think there might already have been a high interest loan being paid ? At some point you feel the proverbial will hit the fan the last time we were in a similar position there was Cairney, Rudy, Hanley, Duffy and Marshall to sell. What this time ? We've already done the training ground thing because they didn't manage to sell the asset they paid 7 million for to develop and sell !

That *was* the January Window

My assumption is Wharton will be sold to someone like Newcastle in Jan who'll pay a couple of million straight away to land him cheaper. Rest will be part of an undisclosed package with modest fee but plenty add ons, probably 3 or 4 million initial fee but he'll stay here until summer. Possibly Travis will be sold as well for a million or so. That income should get us to the summer without going bust ! -
As has been said before when it comes to the use of fixed assets, selling or borrowing against, it is rarely good news for a football club. Usually a short term sticking plaster to a long standing problem and once all options are exhausted it's curtains. Won't happen overnight but it will happen eventually barring a promotion or relegation and massive cutbacks.

Not going to this i don't think but been several times and never had any bother they aren't interested in Rovers so if you don't look for trouble you won't have any. Older heads could write scare stories about virtually any club in this league based on the 70/80s i'd wager and iv'e seen a few about opposition coming to Blackburn back then ! Always think it's a good old day out when you go down there via London Bridge/Borough Market etc, proper club Millwall mostly followed by a real hardcore of proper fans just like us. Tough game as always but if we perform to out max we are better and can take the points but for this i'll go. Millwall 1 Rovers 1
