  1. Taking Dolan off last night was one of the daftest things iv'e seen JDT do there was no need for it at all.
  2. If we put a couple of PNE's bruisers in our side we'd finish top 6 iv'e no doubts and if you sprinkled some of our best players and football style into their team it would challenge the top 3 come May. Sadly it's a tale of two opposites but if you want to grind your way into the play offs in this league you need substance over style. Which is them not us.
  3. If the finance has dried up for whatever reason but these lot cling on then for sure there'll be another trip down there before long.
  4. Too frightened to take a proper corner because we don't want to lose the ball just says it all really. JDT always bangs on about being brave yet that is cowards football. I was going to add if it's all about possession just pass it back we've seen that done plenty under the last guy but we didn't need to take another 1 or 2 players down into the corner as well only to go nowhere.
  5. When have we ever had anybody like that to bring on from the bench ? I mean a proper no frills but potential game changer, points winner ? We have to go back a long long way these nicey nicey managers we have are immune to the fact you need the odd gruff rough and ready forward in your squad in this league. I'm more convinced than ever now that we really are the modern day version of Gradis Crewe. The only concern is there were some nice passages of play and possession, lads getting more experience and value but hey the points slipped away but we are pleased with everything else. Load of old bollocks then you look at the rabble from west of the M65 and their only concern was getting 3 points, no fannying around no sermons on great football just get out there and win whatever it takes.
  6. The corner routine is embarrassing now we even have other teams fans laughing at it when they see it on the box. It takes 3 players down in to the corner to do what ? Draw the opposition over ? Yet we have no one on the edge of the area and no one of any presence in the box even on the very rare occasion in might get crossed in. It's one of those routines that will work maybe once or twice a season at very best. It'll also as many times lead is to be countered and losing a goal. A standard corner routine will have a higher success rate even for lightweights like us.
  7. Wharton A looked good again tonight an keen eyes will be watching and asking their chairmen to prep a bid. That's all anyone at Ewood outside of the boot room is bothered about.
  8. An hour or two on a plane how from Norwich versus 4 or 5 hours just sat on a coach. It's a no contest and anyone who questions it has a hole in the head, try and remember most of them have just played 95 mins of football.
  9. My opinion on that is and has been from the off Ennis is a classic DoF style signing given to the head coach but definitely not the guy he asked for. I'd say Telelovic is another. Look we can't afford the guys you want but weve got you these two instead so get them fit and do something with them. It's crystal by now he rates neither despite what spin he might put on it, particularly Ennis who hes had veiled digs about since he first turned up. JDT himself isn't getting off the hook tonight though the subs of Dolan and Siggy once again handed the momentum straight to the opposition. Something that happens far too often under his tenure and he needs to look at his own methods as well for the amount of games chucked away late.
  10. Seething again, another we should have won thrown away and another set of piss weak defending from simple stuff at the death and more poor, poorly timed subs !!! Apart from that i thought we played quite well the same old issues pop up again and again but that game was never destined to finish 1-1. Which would have been a decent result to be fair but that lot have the vital things we are missing, physicality and a bit of seen it done it experience in the right areas. Said it a thousand times down in recent years you cannot football your way out of this division you have to fight scrap and scrape and when needed just put it in the mixer. They aren't a top side at all but they do the basics really well, we don't, end of story.
  11. For a self professed balanced fan with no axe to grind the whiff of arrogance and veiled digs were numerous. Bit of a trojan horse i reckon and we'll see his true colours at some point. Anyway COYB !
  12. I did think there was a chance he'd do ok over there in a higher standard surrounded by better players and sunshine. Such a confidence player though that should he have a bad start then it was entirely predictable he'd not recover.
  13. International breaks have rarely done us any favours but this one might and as always it's so important to sign off with a good result of some sort. Anything but defeat in other words but it's a tough job tonight for this patched up team.
  14. I'd think its been a case of look our Chicken business is under investigation for what we consider to be clerical error and that's what we'll plead. Meanwhile a famous overseas business our core business funds with go bankrupt very quickly without our input bringing with it an typhoon of negative worldwide publicity for us and the Indian govt. For which, should we as we expect, be found not guilty of fraud, we will sue the Indian govt for losses and damages to both businesses. So just let us send them the necessary funds please.
  15. That's why you are in a relegation spot then.
  16. But it was 2000 less last season ? Must be doing well or something.....
  17. Transactions to club not yet under investigation but seems every penny has to be accounted for now. Doubt that will alter in the future if they are allowed to send more but i get the feeling at some point there might be digging into all the past money transfers and where it all went. That would be interesting to say the least but it would go on for years as this issue probably will anyway now. Once these tins of worms are opened their books will be crawled over forever now, even worse if they are found guilty of anything. They really need to be selling the club now i think it might end there is no real option.
  18. Scott is due a decent game to re-establish himself his last cameo v these lot tonight is certainly one to forget.
  19. Agents fees have always been questionable at Rovers under this ownership but wasn't there a tale floating around about unpaid commission ?
  20. There was definitely a bit of a rivalry across the 80's when we were the only localish clubs to play each other regularly. I'v'e seen Oldham fans comment on it a few times on various social media. Probably a bit like there was a bit of on and off pitch stuff developed with Wigan in the Prem years although majority of Rovers fans just probably viewed both as a pain in the arse. Seeing as results on those grounds have been a bit scarce in those periods.
  21. 'Relief' is the right word, hopefully no fire sale now starting in Jan 🙏 Nixon and a few agents will be disappointed.
  22. It's odd some can't seem to see the difference between an ambitious guy burning up with frustration and someone who moans for moanings sake win lose or draw.
  23. I think as a Rovers fan you only have to come across Burnley fans once or even listen to them once and the seed is sown for a lifetime of detestment.
  24. Yet over on twitter the usual element are sticking the boot into him saying he moans too much. A lot of these fruitloops were the same ones on a constant sympathy trip with the duller than ditchwater Mogga, We have some really strange fans these days that's for certain i even had one wet behind the ears expert saying it was crazy to expect championship teams to fly anywhere.
  25. The definition of a good young keeper now seems to be an even split of what he can do with his feet and hands. Only footwork requirement in the past was can he clear it or kick it beyond the halfway line, if he could do it with both feet he was a belter. If he couldn't kick but could command his area and dive when needed he was still in for a good career. I hope Leo chooses this next game to show he's going to make a good all rounder not a wobbler !
