  1. Indeed, just as the guy before him ended up doing then coming out with his line about not bothered about league position as long as he felt individuals were progressing. It all starts at the top.
  2. Yes its needed out of box thinking but no point in expecting that from a downgrader in charge who by his own admission has always been a squeeze what you have executive. He has no experience of building up any football club he's just been in position at ailing clubs going backwards, not his fault but brought in to do a certain job. He's missed several tricks here to kick us forwards a bit off the pitch after we've had a bit of success on it but there is no other ambition but to hit certain targets that are or have been propped up by money from the VH group. Rovers is unique because we have the space and we still have the biggest 'unactive' fanbase of all the clubs around here. Maybe barring Bolton who - in LEAGUE 1 - have managed to recapture their lapsed Prem fans rarely seen in their Championship years, that's how to run a club.
  3. They don't want a first team squad here at Rovers now they just want a development squad that is a step up from U21s and hopefully good enough to stay in this league. That's the top and bottom of it all we'll see in near future is a further reduction of the wages and selling to pay bills, what we are seeing with the keeper and striker positions is just a reflection of that.
  4. Because he wasn't doing it in training so that's an issue for him and the manager to resolve. He would be involved here by now if he'd pulled his finger out, JDT wanted him to stay but ok'd it when he was told there was another 2 coming in. Do we loan out every player who is pissed off because they think on reputation alone they should be in the team ? Come off it he's contracted to Blackburn Rovers, we desperately need depth and he would provide that. Stupid decision to save a few grand....again.
  5. I do think they feel a sense of responsibility to pay the bills - because they can and it suits them - trouble is that's all they think they need to do. Typical uber wealthy behaviour.
  6. Should've kept him he'd have got involvement in games and at some point possibly replaced Wharton for a bit. Stupid loan driven by cost cutting dressed up as giving him mins elsewhere.
  7. It's the right move now for Rhodes dropping back down a level and it wouldn't have been the right move now coming back here.
  8. I'd rather they did free coaches occasionally to important league games for the loyal regulars. The credit cruncher will be looking to maximise revenue from this one that's all he'll be interested in.
  9. But they didn't rescue Rovers from anything they ruined a perfectly stable Premier league club and have kept it on life support ever since. So unless they are finally admitting that there'll be no similar statement from them.
  10. They ask Maguire every year and he makes the same comments every year yet they portray it as a forensic view of the accounts. It's nothing we don't already know and nothing more that stating the obvious after a 60 second glance at it there's nothing forensic about it. People will find miles more accurate info on here. I'd just love a real forensic accountant to go over it !!!
  11. Yes it isn't always big nasty FFP singling out little old Rovers as sold to the majority by Waggot. It's gross incompetence from the top as usual that FFP gets offered up as cover for. Granted it doesn't help but many clubs are in the same boat, PNE being one and Luton before them.
  12. Would you believe the answer they'd trot out ? I wouldn't once the spin doctor has been on it, only real things they would save money on is stewards.
  13. Way we've been playing recently i see a repeat of the Sunderland game here they'll punish us badly at the back and for missed chances. Rovers 1 Foxes 3
  14. Probably in the garage at the 6 million quid gold tapped mansion they never used either.
  15. Well there isn't 20 mill now by the looks of it and once one or two players are sold we really will be in the grace of God territory. There'll be no assets left to cash so they'll have completed the circle from what they bought from the Trust just altered the dynamics. Instead of starting every season with the aim of staying in the Prem it'll be the Championship annual dogfight instead.
  16. If it's sale or return he'll probably be telling Chelsea he agrees to top whack pricing and ask for 500 !
  17. He would have killed the crowd at Ewood anyway.
  18. There'll come a time they won't leave the house games will be watched via steam and interviews will be done on zoom, you know a bit like lockdown. Then AI will write their reports for them.
  19. He's another of the easily offended generation who got upset when i questioned a headline. He'll be here 5 mins before he gets his dream job back in Sheffield or somewhere similar but no point in being too harsh on him the job remit is simply to report what he's told and on the games he sees. Next one will be just the same.
  20. In the 80's one of the first places as a kid you would hear foul language and see aggression and occasional violence was at a football match. Any football match not just Ewood but park games and even school playing fields. In 2023 the first place kids of any age will encounter any or all of the above is when they switch on their phones, log into their social media accounts on their laptops or access their digital games. A few FFS's in the JW upper is the least of anybody's worries.
  21. Less the circa 1k that stayed away due to the BBE end being closed it's impossible to make an argument it makes any sense whatsoever to piss off some of the hardest hardcore fans. The savings are completely written off by those that chose not to attend therefore reducing the takings anyway. Pointless. And Cardiff had how many ?
  22. He has to learn to take the rough with the smooth when it comes to football every player goes through sticky patches. Social media is unforgiving but there are mute and block buttons for a reason and a lot of those giving grief are anonymous twats who give everybody stick or rival fans. Learn to handle it, ignore it or leave it alone but don't let it melt you, get back into contention for the Chelsea game these are the type of games to come alive again.
  23. Why in hell were they expecting under 4k ? They are genuinely idiotic or just being extremely disrespectful with those bullshit generic replies Waggot is showing himself now as a liar of epic proportions.
  24. Mixed feelings with this i'd have preferred Mansfield or Port Vale and try and keep the run going these games are vital for our development these days. However it's a great stage for the young team to play on and they deserve a big night out in top class surroundings.
