  1. He'll only come out with some fabricated set of lies to cover himself for this anyway which will be swallowed up by the usual suspects. Just imagine if they'd got the training ground passed for building and flogged it as was the plan that was busted. Where would we be now with the owners making up the shortfall ??? Up the creek that's where we'd be, so just remember what we are dealing with here, a snake oil salesman.
  2. They don't make these kind of decisions and the cost of opening it would easily be covered by those who would go in it. The savings will be non existent if it wipes hundreds off the crowd and certainly not worth ruining the atmosphere and pissing off even more fans. It's pathetic shooting into a totally empty home end when the other half of the opposite end is open for a couple of coach loads.
  3. Mowbray style delusion creeping in already but hopefully he is now waking up to the fact this style is exposing more players to errors. It's on his head to change it around if they can't cope with the style then change them.
  4. 50% who would go in there for this game will just shrug their shoulders and go in the JW the other 50% will say #### it and stay at home. Ironically both sets will be spun to justify the useless cretins decision, that's what we are up against this guy isn't a CEO he's a politician, a spin doctor. Whatever the crowd and whatever the piddling savings or losses he still gets his wage. wAnKeR
  5. Read Eddies post above.
  6. A lot of those who travelled the length of the country twice in the last couple of weeks might be starting to view things a little different. It's not about making JDT look good so he can court attention it's about finding the right formula to get points in this league not get pats on the back for being gallant losers,
  7. They'll be selling out the end this season and giving it large again. If they keep it up every credit but i so look forward to their falling off the perch.
  8. First half of last season he was definitely drilling the defend as a team ethic into them and times that got critics because we seemed to abandon any notion of attack. Exact opposite this early season and to be honest this style and not having protection in the middle hangs out to dry some of the guys at the back time and again. They need to work on getting the balance right and do it quickly.
  9. Also the shirts have to be paid for as does the retailing and marketing of them it's not like it's all pure profit although obviously every bit helps.
  10. You make it sound easy yet you're only a couple of months back from league 1 plus do you not think those things were tried here a decade ago ? 1# We cannot get rid of billionaire owners who are thousands of miles away and have no notable presence in the UK. Blackpool fans targeted Oystons and their businesses, we can't do that. 2# We have that manager now but he has no backing and him and the DoF are at odds with those who run the club in terms of ambition. 3# That's basic management but the problem here is first and foremost managers are told the priority is put value in players and blood youth. That leads to attempts at fancy football and a lot of rotating. 4# We usually have a good home record its been key to 8th and 7th placed finishes recently. However the stadium holds 31k and in a town this size in this area with the 5th? highest ST prices filling it is impossible. Half filling it with home fans is but i refer back to the idiots running the club. 5# Again basic football management and i refer back to 8th and 7th placed finishes on a bottom 3rd budget. 6# It's impossible to carry a large squad on the budgets we now have but we had a decent sized one in lge 1 and the season after. I politely suggest you don't get too carried away as whilst it's nice to see Ipswich back it's a long season and the double bounce euphoria doesn't last forever.
  11. Which is probably what he is right now because he has zero experience of anything other than kids football to draw from. This is the problem with throwing too many young players in and not having depth to withdraw them when the going gets tough. Loaning out Buckley ( to save money ) and get him games has spectacularly back fired already.
  12. Brittain back at left back ? I'm surprised Pickering doesn't get more stick he's another persistent weak link but Pears is getting all the heat at present.
  13. But even Pears did ok in a system with more balance to it than this attack on acid style football.
  14. And what if Leo turns out to be no better in this system of play that gives the entire back line the permanent jitters ? Who do we blame then ?
  15. Well he has his chance now play well against Cardiff and keep the shirt. I think even Pears will have little complaint now hes had a fair crack of the whip although all the blame should not be attached to him.
  16. Club does and players do for their effort but the directors and owners most definitely do not.
  17. Last seasons early style covered our weakness at the back mostly but exposed we were a one man team up front. This seasons is doing the opposite it is exposing too many players all over the park unless we are knocking some quick fancy passes about making us look better than we actually are. This football never prospers in this league, this is on the coaching staff as much as the players.
  18. It was ALWAYS going to come.
  19. This system needs a holding midfielder to protect every time we get carved open from sloppy passes at the front.
  20. For all his blame recently how many clean sheets did Pears keep last season under a more solid formation ? He's always been average, just a second string keeper learning the ropes but he hasn't gone to pot overnight for no reason. The jitters are there because we are all over the place half the time.
  21. We wouldn't be prospering even if Friedel was in goal.
  22. This open style of football is suicidal for us there are too many weak points front and back to make it prosper. This bright young coach is going to make himself look a fool unless he finds a balance too it all instead of being happy to get back slaps for enterprising football. As for Pears he'll be eased out now starting with the Harrogate game for sure but he really isn't the biggest issue, the style is.
  23. He gets in good positions like decent strikers do and even Andy Cole was a 1 in 5 man.
