  1. That's absolutely pathetic if true but he's hiding behind cost cutting again. Regardless of this the sooner that guy is out of this club the better although knowing Venkys history the one that comes next will be worse. I'm getting really sick of this stuff now only blind loyalty to the shirt and badge keeps me interested when i'd much rather stick the middle finger to this ownership era once and for all.
  2. Might be an unpopular opinion but i'd rather see him sign some sort of rolling extension Mark Hughes style. Cannot cope with another later Mowbray era where he knows there's no ambition and just earns a wage.
  3. Venkys India Ltd has done the sleeve sponsorship. VH group which is Venkys India and most other things in their empire's parent company is the one under scrutiny for this. Therefore they are all effected i'd assume.
  4. Yeah i remember going to the Victoria ground 3 times and every single time there was loads of bother outside afterwards and being pelted with coins all match. Don't know if it was always like that or because we had big followings then so all the local nutters turned up, the home stands were never very full, like most places back in the day.
  5. From what iv'e read and heard down the years it seems Bolton were by far the roughest lot around here in the 70's/80s. Burnley made their name chasing around fans of tiny clubs in the 4th div when they were that bad they were almost falling out of the league.
  6. Probably using some of their personal wealth now to hoover up more shares.
  7. Well yes going back to when they bought the house the club was overflowing with creatures that needed putting out to pasture.
  8. Predicted ages ago he'll be back in the Championship on loan at Stoke or somewhere within twelve months. I'll stick to it.
  9. So it isn't their fault they used millions of company money to buy a house in England but listed it as a poultry farm or similar so as to navigate tax rules ? Oh, ok then it must be Rovers fans fault.
  10. Seeing plenty of 'it's not their fault' again now in regards to the owners. I'm usually one to defend our fanbase against all comers but we genuinely do have some really hard to fathom blue ans whites, owners stuff up yet again = fans fault get behind the lads ffs ! No wonder we get walked all over.
  11. How do we know VLL hasn't invested small amounts in other businesses over here ? I'm sure we had a poster who followed a trail a few years ago that showed Vs were investing in things connected to their core business . They were also going to start Venkys express over here so this might cover their backsides if Venkys London Ltd is looked at as it was started to use the club for business reasons. Amazing though they aren't asking questions why the VH group uses funds to cover such a huge loss making enterprise in England. Maybe this seizing property thing is just a shot across the bows from the govt, look at what we can do if you don't adhere sort of thing.
  12. First time i went there was a pre season game late 80's and there was metal netting from dividing fence to the bars that supported the roof. I remember looking up at it and seeing all sorts stuck in there like darts and other bits and bobs including a chain from a bike or chainsaw. I thought WTF is this place.
  13. It does look like they are trying to pull some rich people into line by any means necessary.
  14. They've been using 20 million per year of company funds to prop up their managed decline of Rovers so i wonder why the shareholders never kick off about that ?
  15. Rangers would be a no brainer for someone like JDT, Wasn't he applying for jobs in Scotland before he landed here ?
  16. I was thinking this before it's all getting very complicated now on that front. After years of clear 3rd party involvement finally went away (we assume) we just had VLL owning Rovers and being funded by VH group. Now we have another in the mix owning the training ground and yet another registered over here just to own a property but set up as a business and also funded by VH group - or banks associated with them. We keep getting told they own many many companies and yes they do but an almost equal number are dormant or liquidated or left to flounder. It's the oldest big business trick in the book to keep moving money around to avoid certain things from ready eyes. One slip is all it takes for the house of cards to come crashing down though. These types never use their own wealth the use leverage and debt that gets serviced by ever increasing turnover and expansion. Meanwhile they bleed out what they can where they can and use that for personal assets and cash.
  17. In no particular order...... Origin of money to buy the club 3rd party running the club Steve Kean contract/bonuses/pay off Monumental contract pay offs Henning Berg sues Derek Shaw sues Money owed to Barclays / Samba sold to dodgy outfit after transfer window shuts The highly questionable signings of Murphy/Etuhu/Portugeezers Spurs game away and assorted others Team meddling from India or elsewhere 3rd party owned players Owen Coyle/firesale/relegation Several failure managers from same agency in succession Embargo's 200 million plus in a decade but managed decline Cattle prods Lavassa Akon investment via VLL Several underfunded business schemes going bust elsewhere Vaccine plant 100 mill that never materialised Training ground Taps turned off on TM BEFORE covid No investment in players despite TWO legitimate top 6 placings in succesive Januarys Taps off again Tax issues Investigation Yeah just another storm in a teacup, place your bets on what the next one will be because it is guaranteed there'll be one !
  18. Which proves the point that if you want or need rid due to circumstances beyond your control then past investment doesn't count for a lot.
  19. Well seeing as this appears to be the issue that has lead to funding being cut then yes you'd have to say there is.
  20. Wasn't it Kammy who said that no matter how much better things get under Venkys disaster is always just one or two weeks away and that will always be the case. Some of the wisest ever words spoken on here from someone who has dealt with some of them.
  21. They are never in 250 million years going to ask or expect their money back if they had to off load the club. Every other ownership in similar situations has written off what they've spent that is their problem and not really an issue if you need to quickly cut further losses you are unable to pay. The past money that isn't loaned and under repayment terms is gone spent null and void. It's money going forward that is the issue so they'd need to find a buyer able to fund it in the medium term not one who is going to cough up what they've already spewed. Did the Walkers try and hold out for 100 million ? No it was just what the club and its assets at the time were valued at plus any external debt.
