  1. Well QPR had barely half that last season i think so home turnout not too dissimilar. c9k ST holders v c7.5k last season will have helped and the 20 quid off early bird will have helped that proving discounts do work here. First game of the season though so lets not get too carried away.
  2. Trav starts every season well when he's is fresh problems usually start once he starts feeling the toll.
  3. I think we can gather from what we've seen and heard over the years he isn't a long term strategic planner he very much just wings it season to season. What does come across is he is terrified of points deductions, quite rightly as that would be the end of us and him.
  4. I was going to leave this until the window shut so as to have a better idea of what to expect however not really much point in that now. So i'm going 10/12th seeing as clearly the only aim coming from the CEO and ownership is water treading. Hopefully JDT and the squad have other ideas.
  5. Lets be fair to him for a bit of balance it isn't an easy job now and i thought from those interviews his heart is clearly in it. There were a few concerning things to me mainly stemming from the obvious we are happy to water tread soundbites. Something many of us have been saying for years but when you finally get in touching distance and hear that is still the case then it isn't good. That has nothing to do with money delays from India either as the narrative would be the same regardless. Whilst iv'e never been his biggest fan i think we could (and have) done a lot worse for CEO's. Everything starts and finishes above his nut.
  6. I reckon they'd be delighted if some Euro club came in and offered compensation to ease the cash flow.
  7. We now have the Indian govt against us as well it seems, no one likes us but we don't care. Get behind the lads ffs. COYB !
  8. All the fault of a Govt 3 thousand miles away though apparently.
  9. Follow the pattern set last season get a young side out and just go for it.
  10. Iv'e been saying this for yeas and the reasons used to be given that we were still paying off managers and players. That stopped a long time ago.
  11. Really don't know what to make of this one as WBA are a very in and out side full of their own problems so i guess it's whoever wants it most on the day. In saying that i'll go 0-0 i think we might be in for a lot of those this season so hopefully the defence is on point. Any hope of a good opening day crowd has all but evaporated as well with the recent freshly bestowed upon us gloom. Rovers 0 Baggies 0 13,229
  12. He was set to be on 1.2 million a year plus the huge bonus payable for whatever as a Prem manager which is actually more than i said. So i was correct as that was the intention, that was the contract he had, i never mentioned relegation i'm sure that wasn't part of the plan but he was still quids in anyway so didn't care either way. His feet were firmly under the tale for the long haul as this unconfirmed contract quotes testify too plus the fact the extension was signed just as the brothers came over to try and sack him. That stupid woman gets the blame for that she should've paid him off out of her own pocket.
  13. No he just got a pay off instead but had he hung around his wages for that season would've been over 2 million. Wasn't the huge nobody knows what it was for bonus written in for every season regardless or 3 years or something ? Don't forget Nixons piece when he was well connected stating Kean would've earned around 10 million at Ewood had he served his full contract. It was a 100% scam from start to finish and 100 grand a year was too much for that clueless youth coach. Bizarrely you seem like you are looking to defend him here, him and his agent ripped the club, owners and fans off and they were a pair of twats however much his contract did or didn't add up to. Enough already.
  14. You've missed the bonuses they added which basically doubled it and were still payable after relegation i believe.
  15. I remember seeing a lad get hit with a brick at half time in one of those pre season Turd games. A hail came over the fence and one hit this guy who was just queuing for a hotdog in the area at the back of the away section. Rough as old boots those games were.
  16. He still obviously has the services of some slimy agents judging by the gigs he keeps getting. Nobody in England has touched him yet though which i agree speaks volumes.
  17. Kean went from the dole to BRFC bibs and cones man on probably 40k a year thanks to Allardyce and probably someone at the club doing Anderson a favour. He then rapidly went from that to a 2.5 million pound a year Prem manager. If that doesn't tell the whole stinking story nothing does.
  18. Yes for a guy who it was assumed was never as fit as he should be he had quite a prolonged career and a bit of a flourish towards the end. I think tales of the size of his legendary refuelling were a bit of an urban myth as well.
  19. Well i'm not sure he ever publicly denied it, not for a long time anyway so over in one braincell land they still think it was him 🙂
  20. He's basically just confirming they can't spend unless there is an influx of cash from somewhere due to FFP. That we already knew and the chances of owner input covering that even if it wasn't cut were slim to non.
  21. Didn't they all let some fans do it instead ?
  22. This is how i see it with Waggot he is actually good at what he does and what he is capable of. He's a water treading penny pinching fanbase squeezing CEO that's what he is and that is what his expertise is. He has no experience or pedigree for anything else so expecting anything else is futile. We know where the root problem is and yes he could and should do better on numerous things but he won't and probably doesn't have the gumption or balls for it. Too easy to just plod on don't rock the boat and collect the wages. He was a perfect fit to go alongside the Mowbray journey to nowhere and now it seems that is actually all this lot really want for the club.
  23. Rumours he contributed to it and wasn't it a good mate of his who organised the oft copied but never bettered deed ?
