  1. I think they were just on another publicity stunt ego trip when they bought that gaff.
  2. Once they've taken their direction from the club i expect they'll do a damage limitation piece on it along the lines of storm in a teacup and owners being victims (again) of new red tape in India.
  3. That i would assume is where it gets murky there is clearly a lot more to it and i doubt the article is 100% accurate but it does expose something is definitely going on over there.
  4. That just suggest they had to get some money into the club quickly by whatever available means to avoid admin etc You do realise a sponsorship could be included in a sale and carry over for its duration even if the club changed hands.
  5. No good to us if we have to liquidate assets to survive whilst it all goes on it could rumble on for years and that will break the club.
  6. I said a while back that i wouldn't be surprised if the Indian tax authorities and govt had finally decided to take a closer look at just what is going on with a company who has sent c250 million to the UK in the last decade, with seemingly no return nor an actual growth in their investment. So as far as i reckon they've had to freeze fund transfer whilst it is being looked at, sponsorship has been allowed as a business advertising expense obviously. Seems so far this is what they've come up with or what has just made it to the surface but for all we know every transaction is being looked at. That would be perfectly normal and wouldn't mean there is anything amiss but over a decade is a long time so there'll be a lot of things to look at. We might finally find out what is at the heart of all this although i wouldn't hold my breath. Just shows how these types work though sat on a personal fortune and cash pile they still penny pinch putting the purchase of a holiday home through the company books using borrowed money instead of just buying it outright.
  7. I wouldn't expect a response they'll have to phone the club first and get told no don't rock the boat.
  8. Surely it can't be 73 million ? If it is then something rather odd has been going on how do you borrow 73 million from Barclays for a house worth 5 million ? Those figures are more in line with what they pump into the club.
  9. It's already bad, ask JDT and Broughton. With the amount of money involved and the fact that this will prompt the authorities over there to start looking into other aspects of the business it could go on a long time. That might mean they can't commit to anywhere near the previous level of funding if indeed any at all. We've heard all about their intentions before.
  10. They'd probably sell us for a quid to Akon or some other of Balaji's mad mates. The Hitlab stadium, Ewood.
  11. Having millions of pounds worth of property seized is a major blow to any business especially if it's used as leverage or potentially has to be bought back or lost. No wonder the taps went straight off. This could see us screwed now there'll be bids galore in January for players.
  12. Well there is obviously something going on back in India that as we suspected is nothing to do with money transfer laws !
  13. Google Venkys under investigation, was trying to do a link to an article but can't for some reason. Don't know it it's mentioned elsewhere on here..
  14. Which is why they simply must put the club up for sale asap and clear off once and for all as there is NO future with them other than league 1 eventually. Mowbray did once say we wanted the Barnsley model when he was working his way around the league for examples. That'll be the closet one to being correct in the next couple of years all the foundations are being put in place. They've killed every bit of momentum and ambition built up over the last couple of seasons, 2 seasons that were never in the planning they just struck everybody by surprise. Hence the reluctance to push.
  15. Not being funny Merce but weren't you one of the several who claim to hear things not long saying there was some good news ? That we'd be ok we'd spend on a fwd and problems would be resolved even if fans might have to bite the bullet on something, or words to that effect ? Please don't tell me it all hinged on assumption that Raya was moving and Phillips would bring in more ?
  16. We'll be alright until next summer with the payers there are to sell but after that we'd be doomed. Of course just like last time they did this they'd probably start funding it again on a much reduced level after more costs have been cut. Eventually we'll end up where many of us have predicted for years we will eventually under this lot. A ten bob midtable lge 1 outfit run on it's own income low budget/wage with the academy and free transfer and loans providing all players ( we are already well down the road to that ) With minimal owner contribution mostly towards the academy. By then we'll probably just be owned by Mr B and son and been chucked off the VH group books.
  17. We've lost 2 out of the last 3 league games so he's good at keeping the focus elsewhere and off the team at the min. No doubt he's miffed but i think there is a bit of the old deflection tactics going on as well plus he seems like the kind of guy to make light of things. Not snipe at journos and fans and go home and listen to Coldplay sat in a dark room.
  18. I think a tour of any processed food factory would put people off it for life.
  19. I follow an account on facebook called footy scran i think it is. You see some real awful rubbish on there often at the top two tier grounds but by contrast there is some real good stuff and value for money stuff lower down the leagues. Just shows the lazy corporate greed world of the top divisions run by half arsed execs. If lower clubs and skint clubs can offer some decent grub at an affordable price why can't the 10 million to 500 million turnover clubs ?
  20. Last night was pretty much how the first fight should have played out if Eubank was on the money. Looked so much better before the fight this time. Smith it appears just thought he had to turn up, sit back and explode on Chris's chin again when the chance came. Punch stats flying around are saying 193 to 33 which is ridiculous. Liams corner should have pulled him 2 rounds before he was out of it and his ankles were all over the place. Confident and cocky enough before the fight he and the scouse boxing mafia are trumpeting every excuse in the book cause he lost. Wilder levels of delusion we are just missing loaded glove and spiked water however behind the scenes roid accusations were made. Classic scouse behaviour it's always someone or something else, no need for a rematch it'll just be a rerun. No need for revisiting Benn v Eubank either that ought to have the BBBoC saying a firm NO ! In other news..... Trained by Mikey Jennings the Clever from Lever is one to watch should have a decent career. Fraser Clarke needs putting in with someone remotely alive and David Allen, where do we start with that one ?
  21. However many they bring they'll certainly crow about it that's for sure, right up there with dingles and Leeds on blowing their own trumpet. I'd expect c3k so Waggot will be in wonderland. As for the game i think we know how this will pan out as there's no better team to play when you haven't won for ages than BRFC Rovers 0 Smoggies 2 More post match hard luck stories. 14,767
  22. True we seem to have had more 3 goal + spankings in the last year or so than several years before. I think some of it is down to they do try to get back into it when a goal or two behind and he does throw on attackers. Mowbray was a bit more pragmatic and seemed to have a liking of losing 0-1 and dominating possession stats instead. We do have a ridiculous track record of getting back into or turning around games though, weak mentality and it isn't good enough. Only so many times you can blame lack of experience there are plenty players out there with a lot of games between them at various levels.
  23. I think he will and then he'll move on in summer when the offers are there and any compo or remaining contract to walk away from is minimal. Next summer though will be horrendous, probably more cuts, more sales, more project signing to replace them. And season ticket sales back to the declining levels they were a few years ago as the no ambition upstairs cat is well out of the bag now. It would though be a great time to sell the club if they can't fund it to the levels needed.
  24. It's just odd that no one ever digs him out or ever has, not media, fans forum or those on here who have a line into the club. Surely he is the man who should front up and answer questions on behalf of the owners and just exactly what his own role is. It's bizarre he seems to get a free pass.
  25. JTD is probably thinking for the amount Waggot has invested in that bus you could go by train or fly many many times over. That would be of far greater benefit to the team. So in fact the new bus which probably wasn't needed has only got the ok because its been presented to India as yet another cost cutting measure, i'e no more planes or trains.
