  1. If they'd given a free house in Brockhall he'd still have legged it back to the boro to go on the pish. Waste of space.
  2. Ah it was a nailed on fav then. Bad Sparks useless tip !
  3. The way they ousted Bowyer was about as classless as the Mowbray circus so i doubt he'd fancy it again. He'll get a nice little lower league gig somewhere.
  4. Not a bad little punt then for those who go each way. Fair play Sparks.
  5. Give over Mowbs clearly tried to model himself on Gareth 🤣 Needless messing with the team, odd subs and shitting it every time it got interesting instead of putting his foot on the gas.
  6. Can't believe some would turn their nose up at Carvalha surely someone like that will make a refreshing change. Key to it is don't let him daft with spending money, which is highly unlikely and only do a 2 year deal to start with. Only real reservation i have is is our squad right for the kind of football he might want to play. It should be fun though and at least a chance to build on what is here.
  7. The only good Rovers rumours used to be the ones that began with 'suchabody is in the Dunkenhalgh' You could almost guarantee a presser soon after.
  8. Come and look at this great training center in this beautiful location. Don't get used to it though because we are going to squash it together on a brownfield site up Whitebirk.
  9. Sadly that doesn't happen here as we well know and the original 7 mill will be in the debt we already have anyway. So it all just gets reabsorbed into the books, otherwise i presume it would get hit with a wad of tax anyway if it was separate money.
  10. The wheeling and dealing with ex Boro players surely raised an eyebrow or two. Downing, Ayala, Pears There was a few quid chucked about there in wages and a fee.
  11. Look at what it cost to pay Berg off then think again. Vs are generous payers to their managers recommended by the usual lot and of course in return they expect them to run the entire show.
  12. I assume from what bits we hear it's a case of all over them at first and do something good they'll be all over you again. When things aren't good they bury their heads and ignore it rather than ranting and raving or anything constructive and pro active.. They probably thought they'd stuck gold when he delivered promotion, then once they'd listened to his spiel, given him some backing and a new contract slowly realized they hadn't. So the phone and taps get turned off yet had he got us in the play offs they'd probably have been all over him again. I get the impression of rather fickle natured people.
  13. It does make you wonder why they went off him all of a sudden but rumours swirled last year they weren't too happy with some stuff.
  14. It's a great project at Rovers for someone with the right mentality.
  15. It was and it didn't but i'm referring to post Lambert. The drum was being beaten about all the applicants and the quality of them then they wheeled out Owen bleeding Coyle. Quite simply because he was on the agency he'd never heard of's books and he said he'd do it cheaper. Fully expect a similar route this time and i don't care who pitches themselves for the job it'll all come down to who is easiest to control and cheapest.
  16. We complain quite rightly that owners don't communicate or take a real interest, some of the rare statements put out are clearly put together in Blackburn. People from the club like Mowbray allude to communication problems for them still, yet in the midst of all this they do actually have a man on the ground. Not only that but one we are told who plays a big part and is the direct line to them, still though things aren't right. It doesn't add up at all.
  17. I'm sure they said there was about 30 or 40 serious applicants when Lambert left. We still know which route they went there though and before that they even had Holloway in the office when his stock still had value. Then we still ended up with the cheapest easiest option, no reason to expect anything any different this time. There's just more window dressing going on led by perennial wrong callers like Nixon.
  18. Class act Benni Mc but i agree it would be a big risk for both especially given he doesn't know the Championship. Samba is back here though so that might be a nice double act on the sidelines, they made a good pair around the nightclubs of Manchester as well 😂
  19. See now iv'e been saying this for years about this guy so i'm glad someone else if of the same opinion. As far as i'm concerned i think hes been a major fly in the ointment here and is another wheeler dealer representing interests beyond the owners. Most notably his own and he's on a right cushy number here and is the continuing connection to various others who have snouts in the trough. Must stress this is just my long standing assumption of him but the fact hes hid in the shadows so long tells its own story. End of the day we just need rid of the whole damn lot of them, he should have sacked Mowbray years ago but like Kean and Lambert he more or less left on his own terms. Caused a stink and left a bit of a mess behind if we look at everything that needs doing now. Why ? Because people like this allowed it to get that way but having another of your friends clients running the show allows room for your own cover. Get the pressure on him to front out of F off !
  20. It's the pond these owners are fishing in though so we have to be realistic and a guy whose got a team into play offs twice certainly should be considered. It should and i say should be a step up from the previous manager in terms of new ideas and knowing how to get a team in there at least. I'm still amazed some think a Farke or anybody else will just waltz in here and take Rovers up when there'll be the same limitations on money. I'd love him or similar here but getting him through the door would only be the start of it, backing and being able to do what he wants is a whole other ball game. Carvalhal on a 2 year contract and just let him have a go might not be the worst idea, he's a mercenary type so he'd understand. Do the business or be moved on, a calculated gamble is what we need in the absence of a good name with good backing imo.
  21. 'Hello Steve it's Mr Bling here, have you sorted a manager yet for that loss making money moving part of my portfolio ?' Er, you mean the football club ? 'Yes that's it, i forget its name, anyway is it sorted ?' No not yet we were waiting for contact from you. 'Ah ok good, i have a name passed to me so please can you call him and offer him the job. Iv'e heard good things about him and have admired his work in the past. His name is Mr Anthony Mowbray, do you know of him ?' Er...... slight problem there you thick ####
  22. I'm sure they said at the time the deal was expensive for a kid his age but it was a big lump up front an no clauses. Just goes to show you can never believe what first gets said in football.
  23. CAA base looks like a very big agency they'd be fishing in a bigger pond with them i think, rather than that ditch in NE Yorkshire.
