  1. It looked like Venus took charge of the second half they had a roll reversal on the bench. Benson likes prowling the technical area this season as well. what's all that about.
  2. I'd take Gallagher over Ward any day, Blake though would be handy in the box. Not sure what use he'd be as false 9 or wide forward though.
  3. No doubt Reading will be being talked of as a huge outfit in a false position with a team full of quality by our man on the sidelines. Tough game we already know and they probably should be in a more comfortable position but we don't need full pager spreads telling us so. Hopefully a good counter attacking away day, let them come to us and don't bother about our possession stats. Reading 0 Rovers 1
  4. I think that is pretty much what they do anyway without actually setting any targets. Promotion chances seem to just be a bonus we'll take if it comes along otherwise we'll just plod on with the same people. Then we again look at the amount of money they throw in, the amount of losses they are happy to allow and wonder for the millionth time just what is at the heart of it all. Now i'm not saying money laundering but using profits from someones offshore enterprises could well be the thing here. Especially if he draws a few million out for himself somewhere in the books every season.
  5. Left arm, right arm moving in different directions as usual. Have to say well done to them though for reducing the Blackpool game to a price it should be. Looks like they've been told the lashers won't be selling thousands at 36 quid.
  6. It's different gravy altogether as we've had Gallagher, Hedges, Dolan etc fill in t RB during games. If one of them had burst forward and scored late would it have been a tactical masterstroke ? Or would it just have been a bit of opportunism by the player and a fortunate drop of the ball.
  7. They had Nakki Wells up front. We had Gallagher, Dack, Giles and Hedges on the bench.
  8. Can only presume he was looking at containing Derby first half and introducing the big guns second half. The kind of thing Klopp and Pep do with their multi talented squads ! When i first saw the team i thought he's going 5 in midfield and Dolan up top on his own or something. Once it kicked off i couldn't quite fathom what the craic actually was, did anyone ? Either way it was an odd approach against opposition like them at home when we are desperate for goals. Anyway i've decided to take the blame instead of Tony as he obviously saw me ranting on here about trying someone else as false 9. Not quite what i had in mind though.
  9. I'm hoping a few away games against teams needing wins will see us back to our counter attacking. 3 home games have returned 4 out of 9 points which is pretty standard Mowbray era stuff. So time to get back to picking some up on the road and hopefully he gets the plot back.
  10. Sometimes these bust ups clear the air, fans, manager, players all having a pop gets it out the system. It could just have done the world of good and galvanized everyone again for a little while longer at least.
  11. He was excellent when he came on last night the goal just capped a good performance by him. Nothing is going to turn him into a deadly finisher but last night highlighted again how he should be used.
  12. As far as Mowbray goes in his time here its become more all about him and less about the club. That's the way he likes it and whenever the muck starts flying he goes all wobbly. This is about the 3rd time now in the past 3 years a grown man on c1 million a year publically sulks and snipes when the going gets tough. Pathetic. Fans pay their money and time and were here long before him and will be here long after. Frustrations boiled over last night and don't forget the previous 90 had seen us lose in the last min to Bristol. So the pressure had been building and the howls no matter how painful or offensive to some were perfectly understandable and would happen at most other teams in similar circumstances. Whilst debate rages over who to credit the 2nd half with one thing cannot be questioned and that was the support. Regardless of what had gone before of feelings towards the manager the BBE answered the call to arms. That had a massive effect on the team and played just as big a part as anything else. So people having a pop at fans in attendance need to reel it especially the plonkers who seem to put Mowbray and his eggshell ego above everything else.
  13. So we are probably only going to have about 10k home fans for the next few games due to pricing. All the recent bits of good work undone in a flash just to try and grab a couple of grand back. Well done, real sterling work.
  14. Said ages ago he'd reverted to type all it took was a few forced changes and off we go again into the land of the tombola. Look at what he had available last night and look at what he came up with to start. Thank god those 3 center backs stay fit because if he had options he'd be pissing about with that as well.
  15. Forget it we all know JRC is a shoe in next season followed by various midfielders and strikers filling in there in game.
  16. The most bizarre thing was him bawling at Johnson telling him to push on when we didn't have the ball. He obviously kept drifting to the middle and after 20 mins predictably he was blowing out of his arse. Then he's giving the ball away all the time and of course it lead to their goal. I really don't think people should hold him accountable though he shouldn't have been anywhere near that position. I knew something odd was on the cards last night after Mowbray had talked Derby up into being the Championship version of Bayern Munich.
  17. There must be an HSH or SEM connection somewhere, if Putin had an agent it would be......
  18. Nobody gives him an easy time like Bayes. Looking back now i think last nights antics were a shred of embarrassment from TM the guy knew he's ballsed it up. He was clearly angry and some players they obvious weren't doing as they'd planned, that's fair enough. But The the set up was down to him and it did nothing but play into the hands of one of the leagues poorest sides. He knew it and he slunk away, not for the first time. Not sure what message that sends to players or fans but from the outside it looks very poor on his part. I'd take the week off if i was him.
  19. It's the same look we've seen at this time of year for the past 3 seasons. A few years ago he was saying he wished he could have a 2 week break or something. No wonder we fall away when he runs out of steam like this every year at the same time.
  20. Certainly was but thank god some common sense prevailed in the second half with the subs. A pity he didn't seem to want to join in the superb effort on the pitch and in the stands. I thought we were all in it together ?
  21. First half a prize turkey of his own making i texted my mate within 3 mins and said no way are we scoring this half. From nil one down to the end of the game virtually invisible in plain sight. Go figure.
  22. All we know here is he set that team up first half and it was embarrassing. He spent the half bawling at Johnson and Dolan = as usual. And flinging his arms up in the air when his hands weren't on his head, we went one nil down and he hid in the dugout. Second half he hid there all along virtually with allegedly a face like a slapped backside whilst the reorganized re energized team got set about tearing Derby a new one. Doesn't bode well for all things rosy does it, maybe Ben Benson should take over as the keeper coach and Venus seemed to be directing the second half. Which just happened to be the best one for donkeys years.
  23. Just try somebody else in the false 9 or get Gallagher in the effing box.
  24. It would definitely start with 'Get....' Followed by i'm in Dubai that week then at my vineyard the week after so tell them to come and see me asap or don't bother at all.
  25. I like him a a player there can't be many more cultured center halves in this league. However as predicted he's turned into as much use as a chocolate tea pot. I'm sure some of Mowbrays digs about players crying off after they've been through a session and declared themselves fit has been aimed at him.
