  1. Not what i had in mind but i'm sure TM will 'shoehorn' them in somewhere in the future ?
  2. If we are producing lads good enough for a midtable Championship team with the odd diamond that might be capable of higher then we can't ask much more at the min. The academy system although it costs more has changed a lot since the days of Duff & Dunn etc as has the game. By and large they produce more athletic but more robotic players than before. Factor in the pull the club had way back to get these kids in compared to now it's a bit wide of the mark to compare. A good set up and management would use 3 million per year well in the first team squad but it seems the idea here is to end up relying on the academy. Looks like it's finally doing its job at this level, be nice if they started concentrating on strikers as well though !
  3. Best of luck to him and he'll need it i think he ended up about as popular there as Chris Brown was here. Can still do a job though if used correctly and if he gets a few goals they'll get behind him. Both him and Sunderland are likely very different animals now than last time he was there.
  4. Not much option really he has the club over a barrel
  5. He'll sit on it all season if nothing pops up he fancies, who wouldn't at this club if they got chance. I'm sure he'd accept a nice pay off though.
  6. One win in the first ten and he might abandon it in favor of something more suited to getting the best out of our players. Pennies do drop with him eventually it just takes a long time.
  7. Fisher is nowhere near it yet i think anyone who's seen him previously would say the same. I think he needs a loan somewhere he's more at the stage of get a few games anywhere at lower level at the min.
  8. Keeper in, back up keeper in, A decent defender or 2 loaned and maybe Whiteman on top of keeping our assets, loaning out Mulgrew would be reasonable business in this climate. Around 2.5 million might do that and not bankrupt things. I'd prefer more defensive additions and a winger and a striker but we have to be realistic it's more a case of addressing the key area best they can right now.
  9. Keeping the weeds at bay, picking up crap and generally just running a brush around is the easy inexpensive bit. That's why it's ridiculous it gets neglected.
  10. Eastwood was decent back up for a short spell but always looked what he was, a lower league no 1. Leutwiler is the same. We need a Championship level number 1 as we've seen in this league same as outfield players it soon finds you out.
  11. You've ground me down pal there's no depths i won't plumb to when my backs against the wall ?
  12. Sometimes it takes a 'sooperfan' to lead the charge. Over to you .... Iv'e already said if the club was in dire straights i'd do it for free but as it is it's just a comfort zone for couldn't care less plonkers so they can shove it !
  13. Get something organised then i'm sure we'll all be in...
  14. If you want to be a smart arse expect to get a little bit back sweetie. As for your idea yeah it's not a bad one but which LT reporter would nail their colours to that mast and risk the rath of the club ? All i'm saying is that kind of thing is a non starter these days they'd likely have the fuzz there in no time threatening criminal damage charges. Sadly we live in a social media world and that gets more attention than the local rag. Not everyone is anonymous ?
  15. I think you are way off kilter there with your bank assumptions not sure what leads you to that conclusion.
  16. Let's drink on an empty head then go on BRFCS As far as WUMS go on here mate you're the B side. Are you turning up with your gardening gloves on ?? No thought not..
  17. It isn't the 1980's it shouldn't need that the way things are done these days bombarding the clubs social media would be more effective i'd say. Some of us did that cleaning up in the 80's as part of Junior Rovers Supporters clubs ( Chorley Branch ). However now owned by billionaires and having a CEO and other director drawing probably over quarter of a million per annum in pay it's better to ask out loud why they don't get off their fat arses and sort something. When we finally get into Boltons dilemma that's the time to call out the volunteers.
  18. It seems to take a potential groundswell of fans kicking off to bring attention to anything these days. That's the issue and as for the stadium itself being clean Cheston was photo'd inspecting it and promising it cleaned years ago. Still waiting, meanwhile drones, video screens and staff to operate them appear at the team managers whim.
  19. Awkward little start that imo, sure there are winnable games but it's full of ones we usually slip up in. I see a modest first few months results wise.
  20. Just the same as the team and management everybody down there needs a kick up the arse now and again. Nobody there to do though due to the void between Ewood and India and their reliance on the same agent pals to install people in office. Maybe someone would be so kind as to train Pasha in the art of the knapsack sprayer i doubt he does much else for his money.
  21. Similar budget overal football budget including wages and costs needed as last season and granted. Take off that those whose wages have now gone because they've left. Then you have a bit of headroom that's being used now, anything above and beyond will need sell to buy or be at the whim of the owners suddenly allowing a bit more. I think it really is that plain and simple right now.
  22. Sorry a typo i think it was 3 million for Tim Flowers Back to this keeper i hope it isn't all sounding a bit too good to be true.
