  1. Nobody is in any bag until they've signed you'd think they'd know that by now. If he isn't signing straight off if things are agreed then there's a reason.
  2. He's already doing one for them if you look at Smallwoods last 12 months... Agent T
  3. Would be nice if they agree something beforehand and he turns out ok. Doubt he'd be the cost of Brereton or Gallagher but they managed to find that so he might actually fit the type they'll invest in.
  4. So he's not really a midfielder then more just an athlete who kicks a ball !
  5. It's a bit Nixonesqe at times feeling the need to say 'somethings happening' - i'll claim the credit for telling you so when its happened but in the meantime i can't say anything. If i throw 50 darts i'll hit the bull at least once.
  6. This is Tony's Rovers though so he'd be well looked after if he got crocked after doing him a favour with shop window appearances.
  7. Tit bits are fine any grain of hope is welcome and i agree about the 'sauces' but it's when it comes with a dose of billy big time it begins to look a bit daft. Particularly when it's often 2+2 = 46 after someone overhearing someone else in the corporate lounge etc.
  8. The only reliable fuel for the MB. And non of this nudge nudge wink wink i know someone who knows something but can't say nothing crap.
  9. Probably knew nothing of note would be happening.
  10. I'd say the biggest issue is not playing a flat back 4 and having players who never really get to grips with the full back stuff. Not unusual for gaps and players pulled all over the shop in a Rovers defense.
  11. Just goes to show the mentality of these council people after so much has been done in the area to sort out the road etc. Then they leave the rest of it to rot. As always some residents need to have a good look at themselves as well it's a collective thing. Council has to lead the way though and i agree on the caravan site it looks worse by the year.
  12. I fear Dolan will soon have the livewire drilled out of him if not he'll end up right down the pecking order once the action starts.
  13. He might just have said i want a chance at a Prem club and that's WBA but if not and no other big club jumps in Blackburn Rovers is my first choice. Or at least that's what his agent will be telling everyone and the player himself probably. So other than sit tight and hope it comes off there's not a lot else they can do apart from drop it altogether and run the risk of missing it if your scenario does eventually play out. Plan B is almost certainly a loan punt on another young PL center half they probably have a list and will just grab whoever they can at the death if it comes to that. Like the keeper thing we shouldn't really be in this situation in the first place there's been plenty time and good players knocking around for it to be addressed.
  14. That isn't unusual we seem to either start like that or end like that but it's a regular theme.
  15. Is Waggo still on furlough ? He seems to have followed the line of directors under Venkys and suddenly fallen off the radar. Must be all those players they know we can't afford taking up his time.
  16. Decent U23s stepping up and recruiting decent potential to replace them. Nothing wrong with that it surely the right way to go. Only caveat being not at the expense of ready made 1st teamers for the weak positions.
  17. At left back... At Center half ball watching in the box his problem if he sharpened that up he's decent back up.
  18. They can and have played some decent stuff under Mowbray and it's rare we get walloped at home by anyone. It's just in his nature to implement a boring safety first core style of play which is a shame as this squad when on its toes can be quite vibrant. The style is as the manager does though.
  19. They just don't seem to allocate funding like that i suspect stuff for Ewood gets allocated out of matchday takings/STs etc whilst the football pot & wages come directly from VH group. Sure someone down there once said something along those lines in regards to ground maintenence. If not and they'd rather wet nurse certain players than have a good pitch it's even more farcical than we thought. Doubt it's anything to do with FFP either.
  20. If only we'd signed Bauer when we should've done ! Some kids prefer other clubs show pony's costing a fortune for a season though i suppose. All for a midtable meander, still whatever floats your boat. To compensate it would be very nice to have Tosin back now but that ship has sailed i suspect along with the alleged million pound loan package.
  21. It did get voted best pitch a time or two back then to be fair. Weather/climate is bonkers these days so couple that with a dose of thick rob Peter to pay Paul penny pinching and lockdown and this is what you'll get. Another example of the set of clowns down there being to dim to realize lack of necessary investment ends up costing far more in the long run. Team, management, stadium now pitch they'll never learn it's like the govt with the potholes in roads all over the country. I remember the pitch used to be completely relaid once every few years it was deemed a necessary evil but ever since these lot turned up it just gets reseeded. Never the same over a season even if the weathers perfect and it also means it needs doing more or less every summer. New pitch etc costs big money, several hundred grand probably but ffs surely it's kind of THE most important thing for football club as far as i can tell the game is played on it. How much does Waggot cost and what exactly has be brought to the table since he turned up ? Apart from cementing the managers position even more that is.
