  1. I'm sorry i hate to say it but that is straight out of Keans book of self preservation. Insulting to be honest.
  2. Yep the first thing any plant would do would be to throw grenades and seek to divide.
  3. Only a few games ago it was the pitch to blame for why we couldn't play our football style properly and create chances. Now on the very same pitch we've somehow managed to play our football but not create chances. Players aren't good enough now apparently, if we'd lost that one nil it would've been the pitch again. Another two sides have been and taken 4 points from Ewood in the space of a few days, yet in his eyes we are still doing ok. He's operating in a world of delusion only this club in this era would tolerate.
  4. I just didn't think there was any point to it this season at all because he'd hardly get used. Just a complete waste of a wage, i know his experience might be useful to have around but does he even train every day now at his age ? Seeing as we were still short in areas and so called watching the pennies that money should have gone elsewhere. As should one of the keeper wages, we needed good back up for years and didn't get it. Then they bring in 3 at once !!!
  5. Iv'e trumpeted on all season as well you probably know about this so called style of football not suiting this squad. Or certainly not suiting it to get the maximum from it regardless of a few missing. Of course the early season trouncings get pointed to and thank god for those otherwise we'd be in a horrific mess. However i believe we were playing different them far more front foot higher tempo stuff. Ok a few injuries namely Travis might have disrupted that but a revert to type was inevitable anyway. He did it last season after we started well after lockdown then when we'd all to play for he reeled them in again. A fact highlighted by the reluctantly critical LT reporter. I just don't understand the mindset and it's never been something i can buy into. It really is just applied to plod on and see what happens. I wouldn't mind as much if he stood up a while back and said it's not good enough we are falling well short of our targets but we'll keep trying. He doesn't though he just reels off excuse after excuse - some valid - before games even. That's not leadership he just isn't a leader he acts like an advisor rather than a driving force. I'm 100% convinced that someone with a bit more bullishness and who likes a more balanced regular starting 11 would be doing far better with what is still at his disposal. Ok might not be in the play offs but this is like frigging toothache with him now, it never gets real bad but it won't go away until it's pulled out. It'll only rot away and feel worse.
  6. So between the lines he's absolving himself yet again, implying he's coached the team to play good football but they aren't good enough to turn it into wins. Well maybe it isn't the right brand for these players then, no ? The guy is a complete fraud he's given himself yet more get out of jail cards with this statistical possession football. All it needs it craft and skill to turn it into winning football apparently, but we haven't go any. He bleated years ago defenders were coming but they didn't. He then said we need to be looking to replace DG and Dack if he left. The owners backed him, he brought in Brereton & Gallagher. Next excuse was team is too young it's lacking experience and leadership. Owners backed him and allowed wages for - Downing, Johnson, Holtby and now Trybull and Douglas. A defender came in the shape of already unfit 3 year contract Ayala, he played shite then disappeared. Now it seems he thinks all we need is craft despite having the likes of Elliot, Dolan, Brereton, Holtby, Armstrong in his ranks. No Tony your team was sussed after the first few months this season it's as simple as that. And your bull was sussed by fans a long time before that. You are the most fortunate manager in this division working under this ownership. Covid might have made your job that bit harder, it has for everyone but it's made your matchday experience a lot more comfortable !
  7. That's what it is great, great description. EXCUSE CULTURE/MENTALITY All comes from the main man he gets them in every week before a ball is kicked.
  8. I notice quite a few now saying retaining Downing for another season was pointless. Pity it wasn't a belief held as widely in summer ! Quite simply another old pals act there. Ok son you've no club nobodies come in after we've waited around so here's ten grand a week take it or leave it. Utterly utterly pointless he was never going to contribute the same this season the signs were there last. So so Mowbray though. Now why wasn't that wage put elsewhere ?
  9. We had momentum but it was lost the min Waggot and ToMo applied the brakes and their methods after promotion. That should've been the catalyst to get the club really going again. Instead all they had was a 'job done' attitude. It was discussed on here at the time the surprise they weren't going a bit more ambitious. Somehow 7 million quid went into Brereton and they dished out contract extensions left right and center. To players who'd managed one good season in a league below most of their levels. Looking back now it was quite simply all about settling in and protecting everyone's position. You even had Mowbray telling everyone he'd had to lower the owners expectations. WTF it was basically an admission of not being capable of anything else.
  10. I genuinely think he's either taking the piss now big time with the tombola nonsense. Or he knows his card is marked and is doing right by his cherubs. It's bollocks whatever it is.
  11. Why are players so weak and fragile these days, it's not just him it's the majority.
  12. It's because of the drones we win the possession stats every game. At least that'll be the line to Pune.
  13. I think certain players tell Mowbray when they are and aren't playing !
  14. Except quite a few on here know him but even if you're judging him on his posts i can't see where plant comes into it. He's often been known to take some middle ground down the years but he's also a critic when needed. There's quite a few others who'd get the finger justifiably pointed at them before him.
  15. One thing you had to respect about Keegan is he was an all or nothing kind of guy. Driven by his emotions too much but if it was crap he'd say it was crap and when he knew the game was up he held his hand up and walked. Football badly misses characters like him and their do or die style football. We had some great set too's with Newcastle in his time there. They were always like cup semi finals no matter what league position. Remember him going to to confront hundreds of angry Geordies on the steps at St James park when he was going to sell Cole ? Imagine someone having those kind of balls now, our fella hides at the back of the dugout in games when it ain't going well.
  16. Aye and he's been around a lot longer than his accuser !
  17. Surprise surprise he's blowing up the opposition again.
  18. Nice one. Posted some of this a while ago and after reading it the picture was clearer about the price rises, cutbacks and ground capacity reduction. Squeeze what you have is his mantra, only it doesn't seem to apply to the football side of it where millions have still and are still being wasted.
  19. Very much doubt he's one of 'the plants' to be honest.
  20. There definitely seems to be some difference between the recruitment dept and the manager on some of these. Looks like a bit of foot stomping there from Mowbray putting one over the recruitment lot. Should have been one or the other with the Greek lad and Pears so now we have another wage being wasted.
  21. As per one of the above posts regarding the Academy and what is and isn't done lower down . What is done at CEO and boardroom level is the finance and that's where a lot of the concern lies. It's ok trying to say this happens at this stage and that won't happen until this is ticked off etc. The real worry is plans get passed, land gets sold then the numbers for what they claim to want to build don't stack up so it has to be downgraded. Or even worse they start the work then find they can't fund it all. I really don't see how anyone wouldn't have serious concerns on that without a detailed plan being put forwards and costings from the off. Given the nature of what we've seen under this ownership, look at the ground and pitch for a start. Once a sale goes through, the money comes in then the numbers start getting shuffled at boardroom level between here and India is when the fun will really start. I don't care a jot what Waggot says because if he retires or is sacked anytime in the near future it renders his words meaningless. This is a guy who won't even hear of criticism of his football manager despite the alarming slumps we keep seeing. I'm absolutely certain that pair would sit there and watch us slide to relegation and do nothing if it meant protecting their own interests. Guys just a salesman at the end of the day he isn't a Blackburn Rovers fan.
  22. Iv'e thought for a long time that there is a 'we bring one in, you bring one in' policy at Rovers. Going way back before Mowbrays time. Transfers here in and out never stack up properly at least 50% under this lot don't make sense. Not saying that because they've all turned out to be crap, they haven't but we rarely seem to get what we actually need. Also the dot joining can be alarming at times. Not saying there's owt dodgy with this present one but there is 100% an old boys network at play. Shows a manager not very confident in his recruitment if he has to keep doing that. Still waiting for him to sign someone from Boro who ios young enough, fit enough and good enough to play every week in this league.....
  23. I believe he did once away at PNE ? He scored 2.....then went back to being shoehorned in as a right sided forward/winger/defensive wideman
  24. 1 -1 Play ok for one half, hardly a shot on goal or a corner but the stats will be good. Performance manager happy again and bemoaning how good Bristol are and how small and years behind them we are. Facebook is awash with sympathy for the hard luck stories, would've won if Dack was playing etc etc On we roll.
  25. Neither were what we needed at the time and the fact they are still scrabbling around loaning defenders backs that up 100%. Throw in we still only have one reliable goal scorer as well shows how misguided it was. There's no hindsight to it either most said at the time 'what about defense' and it still remains unanswered properly. Rather ironic there's rumours he's under scrutiny for giving Ayala 3 years after being advised not when he's got away with the forward flops for so long. I still don't think BB was a Mowbray signing but Gallagher most definitely looks like he is.
