  1. Evans fit just in time for an International, great timing as usual...?
  2. If you can't get quick and straight answers from those signing it off then it doesn't really matter whose doing it.
  3. It was that kind of mentality that cost us after lockdown despite winning the first game. Get on it as soon as you can and stay on it as long as you can. Winning mentality needed at all times not this well we'll have a look and see, if we lose we'll shrug our shoulders because it's ok there's always the next one.
  4. Nothing worse than dropping those two words in it's just opinion v opinion at the end of the day. If the club, owners and managements decisions were spot on we'd be in a lot better position, if there were as bad as they used to be we'd be deep in the mire a league or two below. We are bang on middle of the road and very few expect perfection we just want to be a bit better, enough to actually see it not have to root around for hidden stats to back it up.
  5. 4910 is more likely i'd say but waggo would probably be happy with that if he could charge them double. Cost cutting on the ground is the in thing at easy Ewood and of course the trump card is blame the lack of fans when push comes to shove. Still at least a bit of footfall will trample a few weeds down.
  6. Most on here will probably buy one so they entitled to moan about it or give their reasons if they aren't. Preston although their overall fanbase is smaller is a bigger probably more affluent place. End of the day similar hard core support but there's been far less negativity attached to that club over the last 10 years. They aren't subsidized by billionaires either and that plays a part in a lot of Rovers fans mindsets. Vs do as they please because they can cover their mistakes, that doesn't sit well with a lot of people.
  7. He seems to operate on the principal the less turn up the more he can squeeze them. Him and Mowbrays football have already shrunk the hardcore before covid. Another clueless suit bleeding thousands out of the club.
  8. Elliott could offer a bit of genuine experience in the keepers pool. Because there isn't really any. Back up keeper/coach.
  9. Another hike, inevitable really but unwelcome and not a good look. Less is more.
  10. Sunderland docu highlighted the risks in not planning properly. They found themselves desperately needing 2 keepers. Grayson signs 2 complete duds. One because he fits the nice lad who he knows, local to the area and is affordable. The other a foreign lge gamble.....
  11. If the pitch is we see you as back up to x.y.z until you get your chance then yes, very concerning.
  12. But you'd prefer to lose Evans and Williams instead for those 2 surely ? I would, it shouldn't always have to be selling a good asset to reinvest in better.
  13. If it worked out then the initial unhappiness would disappear quite quickly. It's the lack of faith backed by proof in that happening here that causes the angst.
  14. I think the way Rovers is operated has it's plus points as well as minus ones from a managers perspective. You've got to know how to play it and he's the best so far at that. Difficult when you are expected to run the whole show as well as the first team. That's tempered by the fact when he asked for help he was able to basically move his coach to a DOF role as well and seemingly hand select his own CEO. There are definite unique advantages to the odd way of this ownership and nobody will ever starve after working for them that's for sure.
  15. He should get credit for the good things he does and he has but it's over shadowed by criticism. That though is borne out of sheer frustration not hatred or a need to see him fail to prove points. Just sheer frustration he's a very frustrating manager to observe and listen to and the stuff he turns out on the pitch follows suit. Polish off the rough edges and he should be a good top end challenging championship manager. Trouble is that'll never happen now and there is no set up at Ewood to help do or encourage that and probably no real desire. It's as comfortable as it'll get for him and he knows it so we have the gentle plod. That often gets peoples backs up and no manager anywhere from the very top of the pyramid is immune to being questioned by their clubs fans. It's hilarious when some on here try and make out that's unique at Rovers. By the same token Tony and the way he does things hangs his chin out regularly to be aimed at that's why it's a constant theme. Plenty defend him at all times as well though.
  16. Can't win them all ( or any these days really ) . Very odd how they'll way overpay for some, stretch the wages to the limit for old guys but not match other clubs on more modest fees and wages. Guess a lot of it comes down to not just how much a player might want to come but how much our club and manager actually really want them ! Next.......
  17. It's ultimately the ownership and their friends who've put us in this situation Mowbray is just another average Joe trying to juggle a lot of balls. Be nice if he showed a bit more balls himself in his recruitment and approach but it seems his remit is just to tread water whilst trying for slight improvements. End of the day the team and squad reflect him and his attitude and demeanor, he can't help who he is but the whole club and its situation is a reflection of the ownership. That's where we are.
  18. Then the blame shifted to Raya and our wise old owl threw Charlie another lifeline only to realize he was still not up to it. Rocket science.
  19. Adds drive to the team, from full back in place of Nyambe apparently.
  20. I hope people realize all this agent Benno stuff is what gets him in the team all the time when often/mostly he shouldn't be. He ain't daft he knows how to keep himself relevant beyond being a utility man. Team captain and the manager is scared stiff of sidelining him, remember that when he's being slated this season after games.
  21. Nobody is in any bag until they've signed you'd think they'd know that by now. If he isn't signing straight off if things are agreed then there's a reason.
  22. He's already doing one for them if you look at Smallwoods last 12 months... Agent T
  23. Would be nice if they agree something beforehand and he turns out ok. Doubt he'd be the cost of Brereton or Gallagher but they managed to find that so he might actually fit the type they'll invest in.
