  1. The luckiest man in the history of the Championship this deluded fool is. Churn out shit, talk shit, surround yourself with shit on the coaching field, overpay millions for some shit. Yet carry on as you where as long as you feel like it. New contract incoming Very very low crowds on the horizon in future, welcome to Crewe Rovers and the poundshop Dario Gradi
  2. Again turning his previous comments on their head to suit his own agenda. How dare anyone in the media question the mighty midtable smog messiah.
  3. We have the naivest group of social media fans in its short history. Preferring to throw mud at fellow fans different opinions, opinions based on facts. Too short sighted to realize there is a thing called spin. Christ some even getting arsey at those calling for a managers head after 4 STRAIGHT DEFEATS and being closer to the bottom 3 than top 6 !
  4. This keeps coming about Brereton and it was a big lump up front for him. Presumably to get away from too many add ons and sell ons. Around 5 mill i believe rising to nearly 7 over his contract so most of that will probably have been paid up now. He's improved but it was still shockingly bad business given what the team needed.
  5. The real hysteria has only just started people are so easily placated it's no wonder we are locked down. They love firing bullets at those who go to the trouble of scratching below the surfaces. Deal in facts and the scenarios that have played out before not just bluster designed to cover and quell. Statements are just that, the truth is in the deads and the detail so lets see how it plays out.
  6. A guy who comes in as coach then gets the role of DOF to go along with that ? That's interesting in itself, wonder if any new companies will be being formed in the near future if this gets the go ahead.
  7. However its come about and whatever the reason at the end of the day it's a downscale and a cash grab. Sell off land, condense training center, allegedly reduce running costs and make money in the process. It's a middlemans dream scenario and some will have had there eye on this for a long time. People will be making money out of it for themselves along the chain whether it's being done for right reasons or not. That all adds weight to suspicion and given the form at Rovers under Venkys all that doubles. With the faraway absent ownership as well it is still all too easy to spot opportunities and exert influence that wouldn't happen at other clubs. It's worrying and if Venkys disappeared overnight, or stopped funding, in years to come and Waggot & co have long flown the nest it leaves a big hole where once there was a well to draw from if desperate.
  8. This has been so obvious for over 12 months now, just following the Raya path almost to the letter. Similarly there's been a few alleged itk on here occasionally pushing the old 'he's crap anyway' line. I'd love a steady right back but the chances of that are remote to say the least. Bennett will get another 12 months and him and JRC will cover it and we'll continue to get caught out down there. Aside from Todd Kane's early stint and Marshall briefly under Lambert when have we had anyone half as decent as Nyambie down there ?
  9. Could well be to use as security for future external loans. I think part of the reason they pap on about squad value is to satisfy lenders there is enough claw back value there. However this regarding the land and training center is something Waggot touched on when he first arrived i believe. It could well be the reason or part of it he ended up here in the first place. Why after so many years ducking. diving and window dressing did they suddenly appoint a bona fide chief exec on 300k ? Not only that but one who has links to this kind of things AND the coach/dof in situ who also does. Seems to me they were looking for this kind of expertise, by the way where is Pasha the mysterious middleman ?
  10. Once a clubs fixed assets are gone they are gone forever this kind of thing only usually happens when they are really facing financial hardship. It's how the Bolton cash grab started before they hit the skids. These things are a future fall back option against admin and hard times Jack left these things in place. Venkys own them now so they call the shots but it doesn't look good. However i'm clinging to the theory this is Waggots legacy and another pup they've been sold by the present regime. Poor form - we need players - get given them forms still poor. We need a scouting network - get it, form still average. Ok we need drones, pilots and analytical staff to improve what we have - get that, form still average. Er, madame we need a training ground revamp that'll get us in the top 6 - Don't get that you've had enough. What about if we raise the money ourselves all we have to do is sell a bit of land. Ok.... All part of the bullshit journey probably whilst at the heart of it a new set chancers are in the middle.
  11. Already plenty comments flying about 'no big deal they don't use that bit anyway' - 'why does it matter if it's empty land, TM will get the money to buy player'..... Some people are beyond help, never mind though there might be enough spare change to build the Mowbray statue for the groupies.
  12. Someone actually said to me today he reckoned the only thing the present manager was hanging around for was to see the fruits of his labour flogged off.
  13. Seems a tad optimistic but half that would cover what they've put in since the reset after the audits etc. Could even have been borrowed against in advance.
  14. You could well be right though it's just the type of thing some might 'pitch' to the owners. Commission to be had all over the place with this kind of thing if you know the right firms to do it.
  15. They got it for the ground but not sure on this one i've half a mind the club objected and won on that one. Would certainly make sense now.
  16. Great timing, good diversion from the manager issue....
  17. Wasn't this type of thing predicted once Waggot swooped in ? Venus as well. Venkys don't need the cash so who's driving this on ? Always said if and when this ownership ends there'll be nothing left one way or another.
  18. Be interesting to see what or who gets the blame for this one if we lose. Once you get round to the fans what's left afterwards ? The barrel has been pretty much scraped by then, likes of Kean could take it further obviously but i expect better of Tony.
  19. Kaminsky Nyambie Lenihen Branthwaite Douglas Elliot Evans Travis Armstrong Dack Gallagher Don't tell me that wasn't good enough to go to Barnsley and get a result, why keep faffing about with it just keep it simple.
  20. His comparisons to Brentford fans are just his usual waffle like after they'd beaten us once and he said they were the model we wanted to follow. Then chucked them Raya for 3 mill not long after he'd spent 7 million on one young player and 5 million on another. Not really the model fans had in mind.
  21. Him and HSH will be the selection panel for Waggots replacement if it's true he's retiring.
  22. We seem to have lost that ability to bounce back directly after a loss with an impressive effort. Not a good sign, it was something of a trademark of this squad. A dour 1 - 1 with the 56th different selection of the season. Then the 58/59/60th in the second half.
  23. Not sure how they compile these stats either as if i remember rightly it took about 34 mins v PNE to get a shot just off target. Then the other night about 42 before Dack flicked a header over. We must've had an awful lot of box entries and touches in those early rampant wins to still be carrying that over. The creating of chances or anything in fact has been thin on the ground recently.
  24. It's simple really if the stats are so good why isn't the team and its league position ? If anything those stats yell out this style whatever it is isn't actually working to get the desired effect. Also he's in contradiction territory again saying about implementing the possession game. He started that LAST season he used the term transition to possession often enough. Therefore now it should be bearing fruit, alongside mentioning we wouldn't be losing if Ayala was playing. Is this the same Ayala who was struggling and we were losing when he actually played, then he told us it was because of our expansive game ( changed again) that he wasn't used to compared to the Pulis/Warnock syle ? Then we move back onto the style contradictions again, telling us we play a front foot high tempo style. Well that isn't the possession slow build style he's still implementing is it ? An interesting bit in there as well 'fine, let somebody else have a go'.... odd thing to say for one so sure he's on the right tracks. Who is that directed at exactly ?
