He's made a pigs ear of it and he knows it so he's just firing off all the various usual bullets. Except lack of backing and budget can't be used this time and there is no actual injury crisis so he's stealthily turning it on the fans by the looks of it. Fair enough asking for backing but wrong way to go about it when things are so fragile, he ain't that daft he's spent almost his entire time here buttering everything up.
-
But he's only human and walking away from another 2 years money won't sit well that's why i think he's putting out the 'mutual consent' signals. Won't walk but doesn't want to be a burden, misses family - an hour and a half up the road - still thinks he has the players but losing the fans etc.
-
All down to the owners and their friends and investors how they see it it's irrelevant what fans feel. If they actually set any targets and if they feel he has blown their investment money. Flip side if they haven't set any and they have told him who to spend on then they'll just let if flounder on and ignore it.

Modern day robots pal they are everywhere they are honed into lithe athletes from a young age in academies and drilled in the very basics. The occasionally stand out against other robots at that level but good footballers they aren't. Each one of those others you mention had a dose of talent that made up for any lack of size. The sheer grafting hate to lose attitude they put on themselves no doubt played a huge part in their success and rubbed off on others along the way. We are a middle of the road club now for middle of the road footballers, expensive ones at that due to the cluelessness of over generous paymasters. Quite easy to exploit that if you get a foot in the door.

I know lads in the construction industry and lorry drivers who get up at 4.30 am and are away from their families more than this mon. He works an hour and a half away from his mansion and can probably kip in nice hotels or a rented property. He can knock off early odd days if he wants seeing as they only train for a few hours. Stick your sob story up your backside !

Agree with this the personal stuff is out of order he's just another manager who's lost his way however if you start poking at fans then you stand yourself up as fair game for the hyenas i'm afraid. Like iv'e said before this season a lot of clubs fans would've given him and the team pelters already including his beloved Boro. He's out of order with these comments imo, not the context but the way he's put it across it's a blatant attempt to cover his and his teams failings this season. For me still the best thing to do is both parties put it to one side for now get behind the lads ffs and all that and he needs to pull his head out of his own backside. Get back to a more effective style and formation and bloody stick with it. Then at the end of the season whether we just miss relegation or finish two places above last season all shake hands and move him on. Start again with everyone's rep in tact and averting any full blown mid season crisis. Of course if we don't pick up points in the next 3 then the situation is untenable. If you ask me though he's looking for a way out and is just doing the damage limitation bit.

Not nice that it's coming to this but he's now acting like a slapped arse iv'e been thinking a while its all got too much for him. Just the same thing crept in with Bowyer for so long hero worshipped then things go wrong and they can't take the criticism so up goes the defences of denial. TM has been passing the buck around all season and now it's the fans turn, such a fine line as if they hadn't plundered the winner on Saturday he wouldn't have a leg to stand on but that one goal gives him license to blame the crowd. Like i said slapped arse he's making it a sob story all about himself now constantly mentioning being away from family etc, doesn't bring that up when we are winning though eh just like fans aren't booing. What people have to realise is a lot of managers, players, people involved in the game are every bit as fickle as some fans. Yet they get thousands per week for all these awful sacrifices they so called have to make. How about he stands there and accepts frustration at him spending 15 million quid on just 3 strikers who he can't fathom what to do with. And how in doing so along with changing the style and not addressing the real issues despite the obvious evidence of the last 12 months he's made us to date one of the poorest sides in the division ? Facts speak for themselves.

Keep the opposition guessing.... -
And we have to set up a certain way to keep him in his best position which imo is often detrimental to how the rest play.

As for you Scott stop running at people will you iv'e told you receive the ball then stop it for 2 mins then square it back to any one of 6 possible midfielders who might happen to be selected.

Walton will bloop once Raya will bloop twice. TM will done out on it for a month. Rovers 2. Bees. 1 -
At the same time though do we want him investing big money in yet another striker for his stupid rotation policy ? It really is high time they bit the bullet and bought some quality in defence and between the sticks.

Barnsley (h) - the Cauldron Of Hate part 2?

Gallagher showed at Preston how he should be deployed he needs balls swinging in front of him in the air or on the deck. He needs to attack the ball in or around the area or be running for deep into space from wide like a wide striker rather than winger like he did in his first stint here. Stuck out there being asked to do something with angled high balls or just track back he offers nothing in terms of goal threat or assist, just wasted. At 5 million quild they should be trying to drain out the very best of the limited attributes he has it's quite ridiculous really. -
They've all had their bank accounts enhanced by coming here as have their mates who came with them. How many actually had a reputation to spoil anyway given where these lot choose from ? Berg went back to his natural habitat, Appleton went back to his level and did well, GB went from a nobody to promotion winning manager at Blackpool, Lambert came off the scrapheap then went straight into another job. Mowbray if he left tomorrow had a poor rep that has now been considerably enhanced by his time here. Allardyce certainly did ok afterwards so quite the opposite to not being enhanced really. For both financial and football reasons plenty would come here it's a massive draw. Actually a reputation enhancer for anybody who isn't already in a decent job - the type we really need but won't pay for. It's a no lose really because if/when they fail there is always Venkys to blame, usually rightly of course.

Mowbray needs to dig out this lazy little git on his lack of tracking back if he isn't going to drop him. He looks like he feels it's beneath him. Craig Conway he ain't but at 30 odd he put more graft in. -

Is there anything to say they don't provide the funds from India though in form of loans against the parent company or venky assets ? It certainly won't be anything like 170 million but there could be a funding circle of 30 million or so that will need paying down at some point. Last time i looked which was admittedly a while ago the VH group was run on quite large debts although they obviously have the turnover, assets and liquidity to cover it. -

With Armstrong i'm torn between thinking he's this seasons project to get games into, show he's able to be deployed in a few positions and hope he notches a few and gets good stats. Value goes up, scouts might be watching then hope to punt him on to bring a bit back in and keep the investment people & FFP happy. OR Just the fact that Mowbrays imbalanced recruitment and blatant favouritism means we've naff all else to start regularly on that side. He has warped thinking when it comes to tactics so he probably thinks it works fine. -

Meanwhile a fire sale every third or fourth year should keep them from calling in whatever they might be providing. -
I have reservations about Hughes without his previous coaching set up as like Big Sam i think a lot of his success here was down to the whole 'team' off the pitch. Delegation to people who are following set plans and know what they are doing is massive in any management job. However if he walked in here tomorrow on his own before a transfer window i'd have more faith in him sorting out the defence than i'll ever have in TM. And i'd like to think he could identify a proper keeper. Problem is the way Rovers is run now with wanting to blood youth and be someones investment vehicle it all goes against the way Hughes works. Like Souness he likes experienced and ready made players first and foremost, players he likes to source himself through his own little network. Non of that will sit well with Venkys and their 'friends' i'm afraid so it's a non starter if we are being honest.

I think reading between the lines of his recent comments he's basically said i haven't lost the players they are doing as i ask so i see no reason to walk away. However if others don't think it's good enough then it's their call but if not i'll just plod on and keep doing what i'm doing the way i'm doing it. That's the vibe i get and i don't believe he's lost the majority of players i actually believe they are as loyal to his instructions as he is to a lot of them. I don't think a lot of them are comfortable with it though that's why the performances are poor and often listless, it's like collectively they are all just waiting for something to click then it'll all be good. Somehow i can't see that happening.

Stop being pedantic i'm saying as are some others that there was not that many more actual PAYING home fans in Ewood yesterday than 30 years ago. You are refusing to acknowledge taking away 1000 complimentary ST's, the ones who didn't turn up and the free tickets handed out for yesterdays game. Plus the away fans, in probability that adds up to over 3k so not that many more in there. But Blackburn is a place that often bucks national trends as a whole so not surprising really.

Don't agree with that it seems to me he came up with that system to accommodate what he had and what he knew was in the pipeline in terms of Gallagher. Him playing wide strikers is nothing new though you can bet your last dollar had Samuel been fit and Gallagher fallen through he'd have been starting out there. You'r saying it's not working but why is that is it the system or the players ? Either way he's goofed. -
I wouldn't trust the bean counters to release that either it just about adds up to what's been spent on three forwards, i struggle to call them actual strikers.

I think he's easing Graham towards the exit door it's not a good look when he's rotating Armstrong, Gallagher and Dack in the lone front man role over the clubs best striker. -
It was hinted at once before on a pre game analysis, along the lines of if he wasn't so easily distracted he could become a top player.
