  1. Crown Football limited Something tells me if it wasn't he probably wouldn't be here, neither would Walton but that's the world we live in.
  2. I predicted something like this the min he signed something isn't right with that signing. If something like that did happen he and a few others will have made a nice few quid out of it.
  3. Ben Gladwin & Dominic Samuel bang them in in training as well.....
  4. Sadly a lot don't want to hear it like it actually is anymore they are used to being spoon fed fixed narratives and hype. Glance at it for 30 secs then flick onto the next thing, not interested in any depth or making their own minds up on what they actually see. It's easier if you just believe everything you are told and as we've seen politically over the last few years propaganda rules.
  5. Rovers is probably the only thing that sells papers in the Blackburn area for the LT so they will toe the line as close as they can. Even if they don't want to, their orders are issued from elsewhere remember. Days gone by local journos spoke as fans and the paper like the club belonged to locals so they had to go along with weight of opinion. Not anymore and just like the club these days it's a franchise run by number crunchers miles away.
  6. He was based over here for Uni or something i seem to recall although i thought he was a bit older. They did say the intention was to get him on the board when he was older once in a rare interview. That's if it's the same son obviously, bit of a lad big Barry i bet. Maybe the real reason they own Rovers is yet to be revealed.
  7. I'll say this only once, we are owned by billionaires and it's 2019 !!!
  8. Think it was him choosing Wet spam over Liverpool for a few more quid that raised the eyebrows the most not him jumping ship from Rovers. Wasn't it when that mad biscuit man was throwing silly money around before he nearly bust them ?
  9. Seems like the club has to pay its own way on the ground in Blackburn whilst everything else upstairs football related is funded from the main sources. Another odd setup.
  10. Did PNE beat Barnsley ? ?
  11. There'll be no thinking outside the box involved they'll just want to use a specialist firm to deep clean all of it in one summer. That'll involve an astronomical quote no doubt. So it'll get shelved until they get the go ahead and the longer it's left the worse it'll be and the more it'll cost. Like the austerity of the Govt and the potholes in the roads.
  12. It costs too much to hire someone with a pressure washer ? ? When you are paying footballers 5 to 25 grand a week then no Steve it fooking doesn't. Inept !
  13. To be fair iv'e spoken to a few ex players in the past and they are surmising like everyone else and stuff rarely comes true. Doesn't mean it might not happen but they are usually operating on hearsay. Truth is no one knows or will know what Venkys will do as all these things are decided well away from Ewood and people only get told when something IS actually happening. Strong rumours recently that there's been Vs representation who aren't usually there at a few away games. Who they actually are and why they are there is anyone's guess. If it isn't any Raos themselves then it's odd they haven't pitched up at Ewood and if they have it's odd no one has clocked it.
  14. This is the problem, they are so docile they just want an easy number but it often backfires. Just like having to open the lower tier of the DE to accommodate a couple of hundred when the top is full. Absolute cretins. For a game like the Burnley one the size of Ewood is justifiable for once so use the damn place. Restricted number of fans in opposite ends like last time and no one goes anywhere near each other. There was handbags outside after the one a few years ago but that's all it was and it was quickly dealt with. I'm sure the Blackburn police have a lot to do with it they don't want to be bothered policing any potential flashpoints on foot for a few hours. Yet quite happy to have teams of stormtroopers sitting in vans and 4x4's on standby in case they are needed. Scoffing Macdonalds and being paid whilst just lurking somewhere in case they are needed like the other night and no doubt same at Leyland.
  15. He'll cover his own costs though after spending god knows how much of their budget revamping lounges and stuff. Alongside ripping fans off the Hospitality side might increase its turnover. I think that's all they're bothered about an if he increases turnover a few hundred K he's covered his wages and probably gets a nice bonus. When the Trust was in charge certainly in the early days it was all about the first team everything was geared towards and revolved around that. Not these days it's probably every man for himself and no doubt a lot of them are trying hard to justify and keep their depts open. Remember it's cut costs with one hand whilst throwing money away with the other !
  16. They'll probably baulk at his wages and he knows he'll never get a better screw than he's on here. We can hope though, i'd be delighted to see him go. Nothing against him but it would finally force us to have to try something different instead of constantly reverting to type.
  17. A full pre season and season of Lambert, Irvine & Kelly with some sort of respectable budget i'e the Rhodes money - similar to what TM has 'invested' recently - would have been interesting to see. I refuse to believe it would have been worse that anything under GB or TM and certainly not Coyle.
  18. The good old pecking order, try to keep the others happy and in appearance bonuses by relentless rotation and possibly working to a set weekly wages budget. Not sure if it's all a Mowbray policy or a Venky BRFC standard policy. Either way it's baffling when surely the only target should be the best settled 11 to gather some points regularly.
  19. I'll be amazed if the old boys network doesn't give him another year. As much as he's show he's still got something and surprised a few of us it's done us sod all good so far. I still strongly maintain that the money used to pay him should have been invested towards Bauer or someone similar. I like Downing got to have respect for players like him but like Gally like Brereton just not what we needed at that moment, another old boys job. Chapman would do well to take a leaf out of his book though. By the way where are those who used the 'Downing will be helping coach Chapman' to justify the signing when i was saying it was pointless in summer...... ???? Worked out well so far eh !!
  20. I wouldn't yet call him the worst signing of all time he might shape up a bit if he's ever used properly but i can't see it under this coaching team. Think it's obvious though he wasn't some kind of wonder kid and he'll never be a great so on that score he goes down as one of the stupidest most unwise signings. Given the amount of money that could and should have been invested elsewhere in the team where it is still so badly needed.
  21. I'd be surprised if they ever let him spend significant sums on anyone ever again unless they or their pals are the ones giving the orders. There was a rumour a while back after promotion that the owners were so delighted they wanted to give TM 20 mill to spend. He shite himself at the prospect and talked them out of it. advising to invest it slowly backed up by the fact big spending might affect FFP Well if there is any truth in that it's looking like he's pished over half of it right up the wall apart from Armstrong who might turn out to be one they'll get their cash back on. Is there another 7 million in the spot or has he spewed a lump of that as well on wages for short term contracts for old men like Downing, Johnson plus loan fees ? Along with that he's probably blowing any chance we've ever had under Venkys of making real headway in the division. That kind of money way well have gone now or dry up to a trickle in the near future. Now can you understand a bit better why a lot of us are concerned with this season pigs ear he's making of it ?
  22. Waggot & Cheston will be distraught this morning when they find out there were more than 50 Hertha fans turned up. Cat A opportunity missed along with wasting the extra money opening up an entire tier of the DE to accommodate a handful...
  23. You have to price as per your local doorstep economy it's about getting as many as possible in from Mill Hill as it is from say Mellor etc. Also i'm not sure comparing to other local clubs with similar size hardcore fanbases stacks up much either. You have different supply and demand issues i.e premium seats at PNE are probably a lot less in number as maybe are seats in the most popular home stand behind the goal. So like for like maybe they can squeeze a bit more for them than us given the large difference in capacities.
  24. Preston are doing a bit better than us and another sad fact is the wages over that way are probably a bit higher than the Bburn area.
  25. Softened by an over generous 4 year contract maybe ? Wouldn't be the first although it's probably more down to sulking at lack of first team action or homesickness.
