  1. Look again Bellamy. I think you'll find that Pederson was being fouled at the time. Carr (I think) was clearly pulling him back otherwise Pederson would almost certainly have got his head on it.
  2. We are not scoring because we keep playing in cross after cross from the wings to two forwards who will not / cannot head the ball. Yesterday of numerous occasions neither of em even attempted to meet a cross. We need to supply them differently as per the disallowed goal, and if not then Nonda is due a spell on the bench in favour of Jeffers.
  3. Well I am. Have you ever seen every man jack on the Riverside erupt and claim handball so spontaineously? Peacock and Chiles never mentioned that did they when they said that the ref's view was poor. Anyway.... 1. the penalty was just..... just. 2. the sending off never was and never should be! How a rule exists where a player can be sent off and spectators cheated when the actual foul was so obviously unintentional is scandalous? 3. Mido's handball should have been absolutely nailed on obvious to the linesman. What was he thinking of? Unlike the farcical pen award against Oijer the other week Mido had absolutely ages to see that ball coming at him! Undeniably Hand (arm) to ball. If the jumped up prats want to be called 'referees assistants' why tf dont they act like one? I've supported the introduction of video technology frequently on here. Not so much to see that every little decision is correct but to put an end to weak refereeing and big club bias....... which by definition means that it will NOT be introduced. btw Interesting poll result here........ http://sport.aol.co.uk/blackburn-rovers/hu...120052509990001 You've been over there too long! The correct term is 'stamp'.
  4. We should be of course but there is usually at least one of the promoted clubs that manages to stay up. Last year WHam and Wigan did and even finished in the top half. The future is down to management and this does ebb and flow with most clubs. Get a good manager and we do not have enough potential to keep him, get a bad manager who blows our meagre transfer funds and we will go down. Our problems will start (and end imo ) when we are relegated again and our Sky wealth dries up and we find ourselves once again in the real world!
  5. Don't worry Colin's got a cunning plan to get Abromovichesque type money for him...... trouble is that he is not letting on at the moment.
  6. 'When'? Do you mean 'why'?
  7. Cos the 'local hero' stuff ticks me off. Living or originating in Blackburn has no bearing whatsoever on a players footballing abilities has it? Yet so many place great store in it. The best example recently was Dunny and he couldn't wait to put distance between himself and BRFC when it suited him to do so. Duff was here long enough but he soon got used to kissing the Chelsea badge didn't he? Now he's proclaiming undying love for the magpies badge. Loyalty really does only work one way and it mystefies me why people can get repeatedly disappointed yet keep coming back for more punishment. If Gally does come really good and attracts the attention of better placed clubs he will be off like lightening. Get real.
  8. I thank you. Apart from you of course it's a fact of life that everybody makes mistakes Philip. It's why they put rubbers on the end of pencils. Being big enough to admit to em is something else entirely..... don't you agree Gunner? Anyway whilst Bentley has improved in leaps and bounds and hopefully will continue to do so he is hardly the 'New Bergkamp' yet is he?
  9. With the exception of Bentley*, I'm proven cos we have sold or got rid of em! *With Bentley I'm happy to say that there is always an exception to prove every rule!
  10. 'Local' means absolutely nothing ffs! Do you not think being included in a Premier League squad and training under the managers eye day in day out comes under the heading of being 'given a chance'? I'm sure that many thousands would give their back teeth for the same chance. He simply hasn't enough all round game to him. You will come to realise in time.
  11. This thread is pathetic! For Gally just cast your minds back a year or two and substitute the words Stead or even Grabbi (ffs!). Too many dreamers and comic strip readers on here who appreantly are never willing to learn. In football it has to be head over heart not the other way around! Gally does have certain talents at certain things i.e. vision and passing but his all round weaknesses far outweigh them at this level. Just like Sparky sussed Stead in double quick time so he has with Gallagher. Has anybody noticed any Prem clubs sniffing around him? It's usually a sure sign of a players abilities. There is that plain enough? Here endeth the lesson.
  12. Is anybody suprised given the numpties that infest that section of the ground? Those guys and Noels Dad have been coming over from NI for years and nearly always around the anniversary of his death too. Woodlands regulars, lovely people and damned good craic. They were all BRFC fans as it happens (maybe were will be the operative word). But anyway wtf is wrong in principle with him or anyone else taking a mate who is an opposition fan? We used to do it with virtual impunity. From the old days of having no segregation whatsoever in the ground we have fallen a long way. Todays loathsome scummers are such a primitive, boorish and ignorant shower that it's untrue. ######! btw here's the link should some of you dickheads manage to retain his face longer than it takes a goldfish to swim once around it's bowl. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/displ...d_lynch_mob.php Nodded off had he Simon?
  13. I have no prob with purpose designed areas like that but until they do em it's a case of when in Rome. btw No speed limits on the Autobahns either. Personally I've no comment on that but many would not want that here and how far do you think I would get if I tried to use that to some traffic cop who has just pulled me over for doing 120mph down the M6?
  14. Utter Tosh! When have you EVER seen him do anything remotely resembling your suggestion? He came on at Liverpool late on when we were under the cosh but he was so lethargic and disinterested that I couldn't believe it. He may as well have stayed on his arse on the bench.
  15. Oh yes. Very good, and so brave and intelligent ....... until the next Hillsborough / Heyshell that is but next time involving you lot and then the sh1t just will hit the fan (obligatory Simmonds / Cantona reference there! ). There'll be all sorts of legal actions and 'Whichever' ground Justice brigades set up and we'll have never ending weepy memorial services to endure for time immemorial. Sit down and behave you tossers! YSB you should have quit whilst you were ahead. Remember NO ONE can defend the indefensible and you show yourself by glorifying such stupidity.
  16. He had a damned good plan ........ until Martin O'Neill unexpectedly went to Villa that is.
  17. Not a fair comparison Rev.......... the first four are strikers!
  18. Another candidate to be considered to replace Souness might be next........... http://sport.aol.co.uk/football/newell-on-...113060209990001
  19. I don't think 8 mins is enough to do much to be fair. My one criticism of sparky is that imo he leaves his substitutions too late once it is obvious that certain players are not in good form on the day. He wouldn't spend too long on our bench Paul. MU need a quality back up for Saha (costly) and Tugay (sod all) and the title is theirs.
  20. Maybe you should start Rememberence Day in Singapore then vyeo. Be nice to celebrate not having to speak Japanese, eat raw fish and whales and have your haircut like David Beckham wouldn't it? Lest we forget eh? btw........... Is it me or is any one else baffled why Paul Scholes (and Joey Barton) appeared in central midfield for the Sky Sports team of the week? Scholes is always value for money but Tugay was different class yesterday. It bloody amazes me why the TV pundits never highlight clips of his on the ball genius, especially when he was on their bloody live match!
  21. So please take some time to inform us all how you would handle that particular bit of business Colin? Your reply should be interesting to say the least and if at all feasible be very welcome to the BRFC board. In fact you could even find yourself on it!
  22. The wall was in the right place for the 2nd free kick but Ronaldo had placed the ball forward a yard.
  23. Dunno if he was injured or not, or how much it was affecting him but they'll not want him if they watch a video of Ronaldo destroying him at will in the second 45.
  24. Eddie predictably takes the alternative view...... what a suprise. Look (I dont want to be sexist either ) but there are about 30 million males in this country. Is it too difficult to find a few dozen blokes that can referee a bloody kickabout? Newell is quite right and just like Uriah Rennies meteoric rise to the Premiership refereeing list it is pure tokenism.
  25. 4-2-3-1? I'm sure that would be 4-5-1 in most peoples opinion. A formation which I have suggested us to revert to, imo it will serve us better than 4-4-2 until some of our walking wounded return. MU, Chelsea and Arsenal all play variations of it so it cannot be all that wrong can it? As for matching their effort / work rate imo we only managed that for about 35-40 minutes of the first half. I hate to admit it but it was the best match I've seen Mike Riley have too. If he had been a little less card happy in the closing stages he would have played a blinder.
