I would say Annesley is sixth in line for a center-half position. Ayala, Lenihan,Carter, Wharton, Phillips, I would put ahead of him. I do not know the reason why he did not get a loan, perhaps he didn't want one.

I thought they were both center-halfs. They may well play together in the U23s, it depends on who the manager picks. But I would say Phillips will be playing first team, Annesley won't.

For me last season was particularly bad because we played a system that did not suit our players. I would not say our squad is weaker than at this stage last season. Personally I think it is stronger. Kaminski, was an untried gamble, he is now a proven capeable keeper. We are stronger at left back. Centerback and right-back are much the same. The cover for midfield is stronger this season. Up front if played in their correct positions, with the correct system we have ample players. People keep saying we have not replaced Armstongs 28 goals. At this time last season Armstong was not a 28 goal a season player.
