But Armstrong and Nuttall are not targetman types, Palmer could be, try it against lesser opponents to start with.
-
I would try palmer against Carlisle as the targetman forward to give DG a rest. His ball control is good perhaps he could be an answer to the lack of a forward problem at least if he tries a trick and it doesn't work possession is lost in their defensive area.

Transfer Window - Success or Failure

I am of the belief that you can only judge signings on their contribution to your team, not on potential or what they have done before. -
I think there might have been a hint of irony in S8&blues original post.

We didn't make 500 pages quickly enough. Ah well roll on Saturday at least the match will be based on reality and not sooth-saying.
-
After the performance at Ipswich I am really looking forward to Saturday.
-
personally I completely disagree.

Is that a door?

It seems strange that away fans don't have concessions, but home fans do.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater

I totally disagree with your statement in bold, so did every Ipswich fan I talked to after the game. They could not get over how aggressive we where all over the park
-
The only team I am looking forward to seeing is the Rovers.

Just got back, I enjoyed the game if not the result. If we play like that all season we will be fairly safe, maybe a bit more if we can cut out the sloppy goals (two examples yesterday). I was talking to some Ipswich fans in the pub after the game, and all where surprised by the Rovers aggression. They said that they did not mean that we where dirty, but we challenged for every ball and put in a great amount of effort. Being biased as fans are, I thought we should have won, they thought they could have won. Onwards and upwards. I also totally agree with earlier posts about mistaken substitutions. I thought Palmer was all tricks and flicks when he came on . We needed some one to get and keep the ball, maybe by drawing fouls. But what we got was possession being lost mid way into their half and them gaining impetus. -

So lets join in and change that -
So he will be up against the PNE left back
-
That's lucky, because he wont be up against the Peterborough left back

There's a moral to that story!

You can just see the Blackburn end turnstiles on the right -
My point was that you where comparing two Blackburn Rovers squads, saying one squad was weaker than the other, nothing to do with what league they where in, or the merits of age and pace, and I disagreed with your opinion. You may be right, I may be right, lets see what the season brings.
-
I don't agree with the bold statement. Last season the players we had were mostly unproven, the fact the they turned out OK was to our advantage. This season most of those same players have proven their worth and have a good team spirit and work ethic. I therefore think we have a very similar but much stronger squad.
-
there where empty seats when we won the premier league
-
A lot of people are pressing the argument of "un-proven at this level" for some potential signings. I look at it as"never failed at this level".

I pray we give him to one of our rivals.
