We can only hope Hughes is working as hard to get rid of some dross at the same time. I think a few players such as Gray, Gresko, De Pedro, Amoruso may well have been told to find new clubs. Tugay and Short will go in the summer. Not at all disappointed that we are signing 2 defenders.

Tough one. If I could only buy two players I would be very disappointed. But I'd probably have to focus on central defender and a striker. I believe Dickov and Gally had one shot on target each against Spurs, and Bothroyd none. We only really have one class striker and he's way off form and too young to rely on. Can you guess who I'm referring to? If I was lucky enough to be allowed two more signings they would have to be central midfield partner for Ferguson and backup/competition for Lucas Neill.

McEvely made a couple of mistakes but it's obvious to me the boy has it in him. He had some excellent touches and control. Can pass well and gets to the byline (unfortunately hardly ever utilised by his teammates). Emerton tired towards the end and should have been replaced by MGP with 5-10 mins to go. Emo had run himself into the ground by then and was largely ineffective. A hungry and healthy MGP could have made the difference in the dying minutes.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but good old Stig Inge Bjørnebye (Asst.manager for Norway) is travelling to Blackburn this week to meet with Hughes to discuss Hughes' plans for Morten. Because as you will have figured by now MGP is very important to the national team now and most certainly for the future. Be interesting to see what happens.

I was actually saying that I feel that people who dont watch rovers games (either on tv or live at the match)very often, should not be having a pop at the players if they are only going on what people say on this board. I mean, how can you criticize something you have not seen. You must have your own opinions and not others.
