  1. And as Tommy has helpfully reminded us - there's still a good proportion of the window yet still to go!
  2. He was shocking in the second half of that first season but as you rightly point out he wasn't on his own.
  3. Well, we'll see won't we. We were "meant" to be going back in for Mcguire. I pass no comment on whether that would have been a good or bad thing, but unsurprisingly the Club didn't stick to their word on that occasion
  4. Spot on. I alluded to the same myself earlier. You can bet your bottom dollar we won't revisit it. More smoke and mirrors.
  5. It's only 13 days since his contract expired, his next move is an extremely important one for him career wise both financially and in terms of his career trajectory so it's hardly surprising he's taking his time to ensure he reaches the right decision. On the other hand if the people who are sneering that interest in him from elsewhere must not be that great are correct then it just goes to show how poor our own offer to him must have been if interest in him isn't white hot yet he STILL was unable to sign up to whatever was on offer here.
  6. Ah the good old Chaddy approach. If anyone leaves, "They were never that good anyway".
  7. Also Dennis, allegedly on Β£20k p.w. But we've no money for Brittain/ Travis/ Dolan/Tronstad etc. Absolute insanity.
  8. There weren't many to choose from after we completely imploded in the second half of the season.
  9. He wasn't. He was good up until about Christmas of his first season. No real point calling him though as he's probably as good as we're likely to get and I've no doubt he'd re-sign if offered a new deal as unlike Brittain and Travis I doubt there'd be much interest in him from elsewhere.
  10. Something a bit fishy about this story. No doubt this is the last we'll ever hear about this player but If he does have a stress fracture, why dont we go back in for him in 6 weeks? He'll be fit by then. It's also not the first time it's happened relatively recently, the other time was Josh Maja who apparently turned out to have a cracked vertebrae when we ran a medical. Incredibly unfortunate for it to happen twice, statistically probably extremely unlikely.
  11. I think Hyam was playing next to Wharton when he had one of his few good spells in the first half of his first season.
  12. 100% agree. Him extending would be a bit of depressing news on top of all the other bad news for me.
  13. I actually thought that was a spoof atticle when I first read it. Loughborough University Student? Like something out of VIZ.
  14. Lambert knew what he was doing. Had one foot out of the door before he arrived.
  15. Well, if you define a roller coaster as something with all downs and no ups!
  16. Why did he sign up for it then? One (Eustace) after JDT I could just about excuse. Two?
  17. You're right. Still leaves time for Travis and Tronstad to be sold πŸ‘
  18. It's looking at lot less ready now even than when I made that remarks.
  19. So on that basis, if VI is genuine and completely oblivious to the fate that befell the last 2 managers, we can expect to see him walk out in February or March like JDT and Eustace then?
  20. Why, you were criticising me a few days ago for pointing out the state of the squad at that point. (Which I freely acknowledged) Since then the most promising of our potential incoming signings seems to have melted away into the ether and arguably our best players is leaving. You should have learnt not to trust this lot after the Mcguire signing which you triumphantly announced then had to come back with your tail between your legs announcing it never went through. (Not your fault btw)
  21. We never have. Lenihan/Rothwell/Nyambe/ Brereton etc etc
