January Transfer window

From The Star Ben Brereton Diaz’s Sheffield United return has been plunged into doubt amid reports one Championship promotion rival holds a key advantage in negotiations. United have been interested in signing Brereton Diaz all month, with manager Chris Wilder prioritising the arrival of attacking reinforcements. The Chilean international bagged six goals in 14 Premier League games on loan in South Yorkshire last season and parent club Southampton have made him available just months after agreeing a £7million fee with Villarreal. Bramall Lane chiefs had been hopeful of sealing a move for Brereton Diaz this week but as of Sunday, that is now highly unlikely - and there has now been fresh suggestions a move might not happen altogether. Sky Sports claim that while the 25-year-old is ‘keen’ on joining United this month, Sunderland and another former club Blackburn Rovers are also interested. -
If the FA really want to support the lower end of the leagues then why not , because the no replay rule stops the smaller clubs from having a windfall, give ALL the gate receipts to any club from league two or below, whether the game is home or away?

So why are Utd not wearing red? Arsenal. Let’s wear a white shirt with white numbers. I don’t like Utd but I think Arteta is a total tosser. Will a defeat be because of the ball, the pitch, the ref, or the weather? It certainly won’t be because of the players.

Yes and he blew up for full time as Tamworth were on the attack. That wouldn’t have happened the other way round.

A perfect summation of what the FA Cup means to fans whoever they support. You only have to look at the circus of the cup draw to see how devalued the competition has become as viewed by the FA.

Chris Sutton saying on Sky how Eustace has done a fantastic job with the players he has at his disposal, but that’s why the owners must back him in the transfer window and get some firepower up front. ………meanwhile on hearing this, Maggot was last seen running down the corridor to remove the fuse from the fax machine !

He hasn’t got the balls for a game like this. Probably why he’s ill, and I ask you this, why post stuff about Rangers beating Celtic? It’s not as though he was a Rangers icon, they hated him. Tick Tock Todd was well named.

Everton could pot Dyche and appoint Rooney. In this mad football world anything is possible, but I have to say "Wayne Rooneys Man Utd" has a lovely ring to it!

Great to see that the chef from the Black Bull at Old Langho was the winner of Masterchef the Professionals. A really talented lad.

Was the Petre Arms at Langho ( long closed) not a Sam Smiths ?

The number of foreign managers in the prem now, when they get interviewed by the media on TV, I haven’t a clue what many of them are saying. We need subtitles!

There were plenty of your glory hunters around when we were one of the best Premier League teams, that were also of an age that covered the third division years. I bet they didn’t come to Ewood then! You have to be careful calling out glory hunter, we had plenty of our own once .
-
Can you imagine that happening under the current regime? They would probably promote the scouse bin dipper!
-
That will be Narcis Palac’s Stoke City then in the current media speak.

At least RvN is having a go, unlike some of the so called expert pundits who constantly criticise and tell us how it should be done. The wage thief Danny Murphy being a prime example. Whether RvN is successful or not remains to be seen.

Wasn’t he along with Harry Leyland responsible for getting the maximum wage scrapped? Ruined football ever since. -
Monday lunch time on the radio was a magical time. Now they can’t help themselves by giving a list of the ball numbers for each team, it just takes that magic away.
