  1. Just caved in and bought the away shirt, now it's 50% off.
  2. Its already been admitted by Suhail that the owners couldn't send any money over at one point. We had to sell Wharton to pay the bills. Steve Parish was also on Talksport talking about the deal, and at first questioned why a supposedly good player was available for so little. Said he knew we needed the cash. I don't think Palace even had to low ball us, we obviously gave them a figure and they probably came back with a lower offer, sensing our desperation but we held out for what we'd been hawking him around for in the first place. Basically, due to the complete incompetence of our owners and their court case, we've been forced to sell the best player our academy ever produced on the cheap, getting less than a full season of games out of him in the process.
  3. Wharton now an FA cup winner and will be playing in Europe next season 👏
  4. Why would you do that? 😭
  5. Same, I just want Adam Wharton to do well in his career. Just feels different him coming through the ranks than it normally does. Also, how the fuck have we not been to the new Wembley, so frustrating.
  6. Yep, he's now 25 and has been given chances under 4 managers now. Eustace hoped giving him the armband might be the making of him but it only worked for like 2 games. He might end up at another championship club this summer but unless he sorts out whatever his issue is, he'll be dropping down the leagues in another couple of seasons.
  7. You're probably correct. They shunted Lowe to another role or something, assumed he was now back as a coach again. Who knows, can't keep up these days. Classic Venkys that, you can have that guy as a coach, as long as he resigns so we pay no compo 🤡
  8. Wharton starts in the final!
  9. Can't possibly have anymore space for another first team coach
  10. He's done here. Didn't even make the squad for the last 2 games, didn't feature much under Ismael at all really. RG is on record as saying we're looking for a box to box centre midfielder and Ismael is on record as saying he wants to keep Forshaw. Trav and Tronstad are the starting 2, Forshaw comes on to see games out, Montgomery will get more game time this coming season, plus the new CM puts Buckley 6th in line. I'd be very surprised if he's a Rover by the close of the window. Possibility he gets loaned to a League One club for the season but I suspect we'll be hawking him around for about ÂŖ500k to anyone who'll listen.
  11. Was this the lad who was wanted by Arsenal? Seems like a bit of a coup keeping hold of him?
  12. I agree there, they were definitely wrong to sack Rosenior
  13. Ruben Selles set to be sacked at Hull. .....awaits @chaddyrovers outrage
  14. Was it Watford who abused that system a few years back? I'm sure some new rules were brought in to close that loophole. Could be wrong on that though.
  15. Can they not just loan him straight over? or are there rules against that now?
  16. ÂŖ9m!!!! 😂😂 I didn't know they paid that much! (Of course he would score past us though ☚ī¸) Also, Jammy Bastards, Sunderland.
  17. Haji Wright is all kinds of awful, or at least he has been tonight
  18. I'm not criticising them tbh, more just pointing out that's the amount you need to spend to just about stay up now, the levels are that far apart. Pure speculation on my part but I think its catching them up now, The Forest owner kicking off at his manager for not beating already relegated Leicester, denting their chances of landing a Champions League spot. I think they need that CL money, or they'll be in trouble with regards to P&S rules.
  19. It took Forest circa ÂŖ175m and signing 21 players to finish 16th and survive by 4 points. Yo-Yoing is definitely the strategy for a lot of clubs. In the case of Leeds, Dingles and Sheff Utd they've come back down, sold a few players for good money and reinvested a good portion (but not all) back into the squad. Dwarfing the spending anyone else can achieve but actually making a profit in the market in the process + having parachute payments to boot. They can all offer huge wages vs the rest of the league and can attract better players by paying insane fees to agents (see Leeds spending on that one)
  20. I thought I read that he was available for selection for last nights game but having brushed aside Bristol City in the first leg, they had the luxury of resting him again. Nice for some, to be able to rest a ÂŖ10m player. Good summary that. Birmingham sound like they are going to be chucking some good money around this summer, Wrexham maybe also? Sunderland will likely spend a reasonable amount, albeit not to the level of the parachute payment teams. We're in with the rest, this group of 15 or so clubs that can finish anywhere from 7th - 24th. Bristol City won the tallest dwarf competition this year but could easily find themselves 18th next season. One of us could "do a Luton" but the chances are getting less and less. This group will start getting smaller over the next few years as other clubs start to circumnavigate the rules and investing more and more into their squads, coupled with teams with parachute payments not getting back up at the first time of asking. As always, in the medium to longer term under this ownership, we'll be in trouble and a few clubs like us will drop down to league 1, where the cycle will start again.
  21. BBD not even made the Sheff Utd squad. Shows what other clubs are up against now. Top 2 is a closed shop for clubs with parachute payments and now looks like the play offs are as well.
  22. Yes, I appreciate that but it won't be finalised without the player.
  23. I agree about the contracts but it looks like they are all on holiday now, so those will have to wait.
  24. Possibly in a minority but I thought Sanderson was good when he was on the pitch. I was hoping we would make his loan permanent but with Birmingham likely chucking big money about this summer, though we might get a cut price deal, ÂŖ500k or so. ÂŖ1m is a lot for the poor budget we will have, so probably not worth it.
