  1. I missed most of the game last night, Gallagher didn't look overly bothered when he scored, not sure what his demeanour was for the rest of the game? Wonder if he is unhappy and wants to move to Ipswich (couldn't blame him) or if he just didn't feel the need to celebrate much after scoring past lower League opposition? We've been burned in the past by keeping unhappy players. And it's probably too much to expect a decent plan off the clowns in charge.
  2. 2 days left in the window, we won't be signing any replacements for either Gallagher or Wharton with the time we have left. It would be madness to sell either.
  3. The cherry on the cake would have been a Telalovic goal but alas, the wait goes on.
  4. Good win. Great to see Tronstad on the score sheet (even if it was deflected) but it clearly meant something to him. Shame we've pulled Newcastle in the next round, as it's basically a guaranteed defeat.
  5. No idea tbh. The line up is normally announced in formation though.
  6. Makes way more sense that it would be £500k permanent transfer fee, presumably it's a loan with an obligation to buy that we are pushing for. Doesn't look good on us that we are trying to ship him out permanently after 1/2 a season. Looking like an abysmal purchase.
  7. WBA Vs Wolves suspended in the 83rd minute, just after Wolves went 2 up, as fighting broke out in 2 parts of the ground/objects being thrown into and out of the away end.
  8. Nixon reckons we are close to agreeing a £2m fee with Ipswich.
  9. Phew, thought the world had gone (even more) mental for a moment then
  10. Wait, what? Ipswich are offering Sam Gallagher a 7 year contract? Through till he's 35? Why would they do that?!?
  11. Is Phillips any good? He's not made many appearances for a 26 year old.
  12. Cheers for the pointless statement Waggott. We know you wrote it.
  13. Chaddy said we were getting 5 more in, have faith 👊
  14. Yeah, could see them going for Alonso. Obviously working wonders at Leverkusen.
  15. Hill subbed off injured for Bournemouth, not that we would be signing him anyway.
  16. Both loan players have scored and Ayari has an assist as well. Good stuff!
  17. "Develop players and stay in the league." Literally the club's ambitions as stated by our CEO.
  18. Personally I'd rather he went to non-league before signing for Newcastle. As good as I think Wharton could be, I assume they would have their sights set higher than Wharton. As you say FFP might scupper that anyway, as they are (supposedly) on the limit (although looks like they are selling Almerion to a Saudi Arabian team) I think Palace are trying to get this tied up before other clubs come in, like Newcastle etc. If he signs for Palace, as crap as it sounds, he could use them as a springboard to a bigger club.
  19. I don't disagree with you, however that's us looking at it from the outside. It's certainly not how Palace will have sold the move to Wharton, his family or his agent though.
  20. How can this just be casually pushed back? Assuming this means we now cannot pay for the day to day running of the club? Which leaves us with the worst situation where we are selling Wharton to plug the gap. Get the protests ramped up!
  21. Not sure about that. According to the Palace forums (as someone posted above) they've been tracking him for some time, talking to his family, him, his agent selling the move to him. They wouldn't be bidding if there wasn't interest in the move from Wharton's side. Also, he goes to Palace, finds his feet in the premier league, much less pressure than if he joined Spurs, Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle etc. He gets settled into the league and moves on from Palace further down the line. All the while he develops at a better club and gets paid a lot more. It's a borderline no brainer.
