  1. Just about to post that score Boro 3-0 down At home To Cardiff Wtf?
  2. Were going to struggle for goals with these players though.
  3. Davenport joins Lincoln city till January
  4. Bristol City got their first away win of the season at Ewood Park. We are ALWAYS the gift that keeps on giving with these types of things.
  5. Doesn't matter what side they play on, up against Carter or Pickering, they will have a field day. We have zero pace in our back line (and the team in general!). They are going to tear us to shreds.
  6. 14th - 20th. JDT has a lot to sort out and we're going to take a fair few defeats whilst he does/if he does.
  7. Couldn't lay a glove on Sheff Utd, so I doubt we'll be getting much joy out of this one.
  8. Agreed. More time to get injured players back and more time working on JDT's style. Can't be a bad thing.
  9. A breakdown between the owners & manager over transfers maybe? They seemed to be linked with loads of players and plenty of bids seemed to get put about.
  10. Yeah, I doubt he hand picked them all. Not sure how it works under the new owner. I assumed he had some input though. Again, i don't know but you assume players were bought to fit the style Tuchel wanted at the very least.
  11. Why did they back him to the tune of £300m , if they were planning binning him anyway? Surely would have made more sense to bring the new guy in first?
  12. Chelsea been given permission to speak to Potter
  13. Hope they don't have an academy set up......
  14. Not a happy hunting ground for us. All I can see is the current trend of conceding an alarming amount of goals. 3-1, Nyambe to score his first goal against us.
  15. Conceding too many goals, only going to lead one way. Worrying times.
  16. Good starting 11. Pleased to see Wharton retain his place, no matter what happens today, he deserves the start. Lacking a bit of magic off the bench, no real game changers on there.
  17. The club is obviously looking at the alarming amount of players contracts that have either run out or put us in a situation where we sell for low fee/get low balled all summer and end up with nothing, so have started getting some players on some longer contracts. Hopefully Buckley is the first of a few.
  18. Assuming Ayala, S.Wharton, Gallagher and Brittain are still missing.
  19. What is good is we now have some competition for places. Centre back, we have decent options (when all fit) with Ayala, Hyam, Wharton, Phillips and Carter all battling out for a place. 5 good options there as well. Chuck in Mola as well but i don't know where his preferred position is, or where JDT see's him fitting in. Buckley was probably almost guaranteed a start but now he's got Wharton showing him up and Morton playing well. Trav is captain so will play more often than not. Plenty of attacking options battling it out as well now and with Dack getting back up to speed and BBD retained we should have players pushing for those places too,
  20. Could be wrong but i thought i read somewhere that Ayala only missed one game due to injury in the second half of the season. He didn't play because Mowbray didn't pick him ahead of Lenihan, Wharton and JPVH.
  21. Sounds good. The manager not only recognised their strength and nullified it but recognised our weakness and reinforced it.
  22. You always want more (ain't that right Forest?!) But I think overall, it's been a positive window. We've plugged gaps that needed plugging, not just with dross either. Brittain is as good as, if not better than Nyambe and Hyam seems solid to fill the void Lenihan left. Szmodics is no Rothwell but I think Rothwell was incredibly difficult to replace, not many players like him around and certainly not for the fees we'd be looking at. 2 loans with options in the clubs favour is smart business and we've held onto one of our best players in BBD. We were never getting everything we need this summer, it just wasn't happening. What needs to happen now is a continuous cycle of improvement. Broughton and his team need to be upgrading our weakest players. JRC, Edun, Dolan etc. They'll be used this season as squad players but ultimately if we have ambitions in the future of being a premier League team, we need better players. That process can start now and players can be scouted and identified for recruitment in future transfer windows. Feels like there was more of a plan this time around, not like the scattergun approach it felt like at times under Mowbray.
  23. Deadline day is so stupid. Everton could have bid £20m 3 weeks ago and got their man, no worries. Waits 4 hours till the window closes and would probably have to offer more, which will still likey be rejected as we can't sign a replacement. Mental.
  24. They might only be offering buttons though? Saying that, weren't they offering £20m for the Watford player?
