Agreed. The ambition for the club is to get academy players into the first team and sell them for good money. Blood a new batch and do the same. GB has already stated that signing a more experienced player, on good money, on a 3 year deal, wasn't an option because it would block the young players in our team. He also mentioned the cost of running the academy is going to be around £4m per year, so assume we need to cover that cost through sales as well. Winning football matches? Secondary I guess.

Not just Wharton, Garrett too who seems to be pushing his way into the managers thinking. For what it's worth I think Morton is a decent player, he won't make it at Liverpool I don't think but there is a decent player in there. His slight frame allows him to be pushed off the ball easily (and we've seen how costly this can be) but he's young and that can be worked on. During one of our recent live games on sky, one of the commentators pulled out a stat that he has created the most chances in our team this season. Not getting the assist if Gallagher is on the end of it. Suggestions on here that he's league one are well over the top though (not by you)

Don’t wish any ill on him but he was garbage. Only thing I can remember him doing was missing a penalty. GB absolutely needs to do better this time around though.
