  1. Abysmal timing all round. Owners don't want to sell him but now it's confirmed he wants out, he'll be half assed and sulking if he doesn't get a move. If we've got players lined up then no option but to cash in and move on. £6m is really good money for someone who's out of contract in a few months time.
  2. Cahill sent off for Bournemouth, hopefully Barnsley can take advantage
  3. I can only assume Ayala is upfront and the idea is get crosses into the box or hoof it upfield so he can hold it up.
  4. How are set up now? ----------------Kaminski ----------Wharton---Lenihan---JPVH Nyambe----------------------------------Zee ___________Trav-------BJ Butterworth-----Bucko-----JRC
  5. 2 injuries to add to the pile. Squad is really stretched now.
  6. Mowbray is back. Gallagher on the left, Buckley through the middle, a RB as an "inside forward", formation/system change (which failed miserably last time) Confidence has dropped after seeing that.
  7. Just have a horrible feeling he'll sign for Brentford and we'll fail to replace him. It would be a significant blow to our season and I think Rovers under Venkys have got me to always believe in the worst outcome. So here we are.
  8. Cryptic 😆 Edit: Bah, saw your edit!
  9. Hull appoint Shota Arveladze as their new manager. (I have no idea either)
  10. Luton in some good form at the moment, drawing with Fulham and beating Bournemouth in that run. Be a tough game, let's hope we don't go in with the wrong mentality.
  11. Definitely need to be gunning for a top 2 place. My concern is that our squad might just not be enough to get us there.
  12. He's got a full season in league one to add to those wins mind you but still, an impressive stat. And yet, he still can be the most infuriating manager at times.
  13. He needed a loan move, probably for the season really. Sounds like he has workrate issues (off the ball) and it was picked up by a few on here during his sub appearance on Monday. He won't make it under Mowbray unless he changes that.
  14. Didn't think Roy would be back in management at 74. His time at Palace, and then leaving at the end of the season, just felt right. That was it, he left on his own terms, keeping Palace in the league and stepping aside for a younger, up and coming manager in Vieira to come in and move the club forward. Watford are a total basket case, sacking managers at an alarming rate. And it will be a shame if it all goes wrong for him and he's binned off at the drop of a hat.
  15. No late goal @Gavlar Somerset Rover!, You need to back them more often.
  16. Swansea actually scored! But it was ruled out for offside. You know how this is going.....
  17. I mean, if Mowbray reverted back to that possession based football when our current way has us sat 2nd, he deserves to be sacked on the spot.
  18. They are 19th. Even with 2 good wins, they're not having a good season. See who they appoint first but if they have any sort ambition they need better than McCann.
  19. There was an interview on the Rovers website the other day, where Mowbray was talking about outgoings and he said a player might want to leave the club (I can't remember the exact quote). All the video clips were of Rothwell, possibly just out of coincidence as his contract is running out but you never know.
  20. I'm definitely in the camp of "selling Rothwell now, especially to a promotion rival, is insane" BUT I suspect that Rothwell wants to leave and Mowbrays recent comments have suggested as much. So with that in mind I think Rothwell will end up going, which would be madness from our point of view. The only way I can imagine Mowbray would be even remotely happy with it, is if he is guaranteed funds from the sale to reinvest. Even then, you'd need a replacement lined up beforehand.
