  1. Ah thats different then. The other one would have likely been a backup behind Lenihan and Kipre you would have thought. So, we still need a first choice centre back then.
  2. Onto the back up plan. Sharpe said we were working on another deal but I haven't seen any links to anyone.
  3. Its been a while but I always enjoy that thing that a sunderland fan wrote about all Nixons bullplop. I'll dig it out later.
  4. Be annoying if we miss out but not much we can do if a prem club comes in for him. Hopefully we get this done before anyone else makes a move but if Leeds or West Brom want him, they'll get him.
  5. Can't say I know a great deal about Kipre but everyone on here is pretty happy with his potential signing. He's a big ol' unit, so I'm guessing he's a decent in the air? Would be great for set pieces at both ends of the pitch, which we are poor at.
  6. 4/1 on skybet, so not much there either.
  7. Criminal not to start our best striker up front. Dolan to come off the bench.
  8. Be an odd move all round that. We really can't let him go right now as that would leave us with just Lenihan as a first team CB (discounting Mulgrew who is out of favour)
  9. It took sometime to get this over the line but delighted that we have managed to. Hopefully he turns out to be a decent keeper!
  10. Great to see Dolan on the scoresheet
  11. I can’t watch the game but thats an interesting role for him. Sounds like he's playing well. He didn't pull up many trees in an attacking role last season.
  12. BB deffo reading the comments on here.
  13. Even playing wide, he doesn't play as a traditional winger. He still gets into the box a lot and should be getting chances to shoot/finish. As Tyrone says, when do you see him go for goal from outside the box, like Armstrong does?
  14. Ha, don't worry, I've braced myself for the inevitable "we tried but failed"
  15. Pretty happy with Mowbrays comments. Seems like our recruitment is geared towards the defence where it's desperately needed. If we get the defenders we need and there is enough room to bring Downing in, i'd be happy enough for him to come back.
  16. That seems the most likely, yep
  17. Not sure where the "Announce player" thing came from but its tiresome. Rovers aren't the only fans that do it, all football clubs have fans that do. Not sure why people do it but then again, I think I'm past trying to figure out why most people do what they do on social media.
  18. That's a couple of steps too far
  19. 34. Signed for a club in Australia last i saw. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18624142.former-rovers-striker-derbyshire-close-a-league-move/
  20. He's got to be one of the worst finishers in the league. You only need to compare the finishing ability of Armstrong, Dack and Graham from our own squad (Graham obviously no longer here) against him and he is no where near their level. Playing him out wide won't help, that's fair enough but he doesn't look like a goalscorer at all.
  21. People sniffing glue on twitter, seem to think BB will get 10-12 goals. One bloke even seems to believe he has 20+ goals (in a season, not career) in him.
  22. I don't have the stats but I felt like he played centrally a lot more after Dacks injury, which coincided with AA bagging more consistently. From memory, I can't recall him having any good games outwide really.
  23. All he does is hit the deck. Its embarrassing at times.
  24. I'd be reluctant to put Armstrong outwide. He doesn't really do alot when he's there. He's much better as a central striker and his performances last season have earned him the right to stay there. Gally can't play wide either but he shouldn't be taking Arma's place up front.
