They are all top drawer players though, Gallagher is limited as it is and we are hampering him further by playing him out of position. He also doesn't possess any of the attributes needed to play as a wide player. Doesn't have skill, pace, crossing capability or the ability to beat a defender.

It feels like Wharton should be ahead of any of the other young centre backs we have (Magloire, Grayson & Carter) He should be getting some time during pre-season to see if he is up to it at least.
