  1. Along with Szmodics, JDT has alluded to another player possibly not making it today, by the sounds of it, for similar reasons (playing a lot of games). I assume that player is Carter, hence why Hyam will start? Unless anyone has heard any more on it?
  2. Great to see him sign up, bit of a shame it's only for 18months, presumably he see's his long term future elsewhere (at a higher, more ambitious club than Rovers)
  3. Szmodics not playing is a big blow. Be interesting to see how we line up now. Assume it would be Ennis/Leonard up front with Sigurdsson or Moran in behind. I forgot that Brittain is also unavailable, might have to start Markanday but as he struggles to get off the bench these days, I'd be surprised.
  4. He's got that bit of extra quality that a lot of our other players lack. Deffo need to get him signed up permanently.
  5. Just seen that has been confirmed.
  6. Forest have sacked Cooper and are planning to replace him with Nuno Espirito Santo
  7. Was just thinking the same thing really. Players like Ennis and Leonard could have played and given Szmodics a rest. Hill for Carter, Trav for Tronstad etc. Like you say, we're now in the worst of all worlds with players even more knackered, players suspended, 0 points, 0 goals and another -4 on the GD.
  8. We were never winning this, which is part of the problem. We are now writing off games in the championship because either we're so weak or the opposition have parachute payments, a valid argument but basically conceding defeat before a ball is kicked. The club is on its knees as the owners continue to strangle us and the CEO lays out the least ambitious plans a club has ever presented. Mid-lower table and selling Adam Wharton is about all we've got to look forward to. Still, his transfer fee should allow the owners to put less money into the club, so there's that at least.
  9. Like Leeds, Southampton's players will be just too good for ours. We'll put a shift in but it'll be a 2-0 defeat for us. Armstrong guaranteed to score.
  10. Not a great performance and it was all Bristol after they scored but we hung on in the end. A much needed victory at home. Brittain, Wharton, Tronstad, Wahlstedt, Pickering all great.
  11. He does. (Seems to be a lot of these "player x, always scores against us")
  12. Szmodics not having the best of games so far (he's not alone either)
  13. Defensive midfielder I think
  14. Ennis starts! No Hill though 🤔
  15. Obviously it's a good thing on the one hand but on the other,we are now celebrating more academy players filling out the bench because the squad is so thin/decimated.
  16. None of the Rovers hierarchy, Waggott aside, would be willing to let JDT leave right now. So I assume we'd play hardball (assuming our hierarchy are capable) if Stoke made any approach. I don't know what Stokes expectations are but if they are expecting a promotion push and believe JDT is the man to deliver that, then they'll already know that they need to pay out some compo. JDT doesn't even feature in the betting (on skybet) for the next Sunderland manager but they might go for Eustace, pushing JDT higher up the Stoke wishlist.
