  1. Brereton is getting close to irreplaceable. He's scoring goals out of nothing and making them too. He's our matchwinner. Without him we'd have lost today and quite a few games over the past 12 months. He's just getting better and better. Surely we should be pulling out all the stops to keep him and what use is £15m if it blows a hole in our great start to the season?
  2. Now then, another game on Wednesday and a potential banana skin for Rovers - we have a poor record on their ground in recent seasons with just one win in 6 and five defeats IIRC Reading have taken 3 points from 3 games, a good win over Cardiff and a narrow loss away to Blackpool but their last game on Saturday was a 4-0 drubbing at Rotherham Rovers are top of the league and full of confidence after the hard-fought win over West Brom but the match took its toll on our already depleted squad with more players picking up injuries. Hopefully we'll have a few signings to bolster the squad before then. They're badly needed Fans will be banking on another win but it won't be easy and a word of warning: I'm going to the game and I've never seen us get a point there. Perhaps I should stay at home but let's be optimistic and hope the great start continues Reading 1 Rovers 2
  3. That's good., though I'll only believe it when they do. It needs spending soon
  4. Do you still have access to the Oxford English Dictionary?
  5. Who'd like Nyambe and Lenihan back now? I wasn't happy at either of them leaving as I saw them as good solid, experienced performers who still had alot to offer at the club. But we are where we are and the club needs to act fast to get more bodies in.
  6. Plea to the owners: We desperately need players Time to splash the cash and capitalise on the good start and the feelgood factor around the club Make Brighton a very good offer for Van Hecke and get him signed up. And others too.
  7. BBD and SG on the scoresheet, well done to JDT and everyone at BRFC in overcoming a strong WBA despite losing our RB and young CB to injury. Now for a nice IPA to celebrate This is acronym heaven Cheers!
  8. Brilliant by Rovers.... didn't expect that, great resilience to win that game with so many injuries and problems The squad needs at least 3 more players (good ones), proper signings, not loanees, to capitalise on this start - and quickly
  9. No serious injuries and 11 minutes added on?? The referee must be a Baggies fan
  10. Make Brighton a good offer and just pay out the money for Van Hecke.
  11. Edun at centre half??? Phillips and Brittain injuries, do we have any defenders left?? Amazed if we take 3 points from this
  12. Brittain injury adds to problems in defence - we really do need to get some more bodies in.
  13. 😄 My bad (see what I did there)
  14. Kevin Gallagher constantly referring to "Blackburn" on the BBC He really should know better
  15. Brereton is starting to score goals out of nowhere and make goals for himself - a priceless asset to any team. His injury at WBA last February probably cost us a top 6 place. If we keep him this window it will be a major coup and sign of intent
  16. Ryan Giles OG for Boro. Still wish we had him
  17. Big game for Phillips, will he sink or swim? There's been alot of hype around him so it will be interesting to see how he goes. Is he another Phil Jones or another Jay McEveley, both of whom never quite lived up to their youthful promise? Either way, WBA have some very good forwards who will put a raw, young player to the test and could be the difference between us winning and losing the game
  18. All you have left is no arguments. Pitiful
  19. Looking forward to this match against that historic and well known acronym, WBA. I've always liked the Baggies and if I lived in the West Midlands they'd be my team. Hoping for a win of course but the curmugeon in me sees the pitfalls, not least their strong forward line and their form. They looked very good against Watford Heart says 2-1, head says 1-1.
  20. The point is, Forest owners have invested heavily to give the manager his best possible chance of survival. The manager can't complain at the lack of resources given to him and neither can the fans at the investment in the club - they must be delighted. Cooper has been given the tools to keep Forest in the Premier League, now it's up to him. Given the money spent, if he doesn't keep them up Forest could be entitled to sack him
