  1. Mmmm, didn't see it that way. We were on the backfoot most of the time and Preston created several good chances 2 of which they should have scored. Our midfield virtually disappeared once Travis went off Good win though. We deserve a break
  2. Lady luck smiled on us. Dodgy penalty and Preston dominated 2nd half Hands up, we didn't really deserve that but we deserve some luck
  3. Pears clanger? It's going to be a nervy 3 mins
  4. Rare case of Rovers benefiting from a dodgy refereeing decision. PNE blasted over the bar again.
  5. Was that a penalty? We'll take it!
  6. Enter Cantwell, no showboating please
  7. It's all PNE and we're looking stretched and a bit leggy...... time to change the team.
  8. Free header..... PNE should have scored.
  9. Deserved half time lead. Very strong last 15 minutes, could be 2-0 up. Guere (who) and Travis the pick of the players
  10. Chance but Weimann and Guere (who) got in each other's way then. Good spell for Rovers this
  11. Guere's close control has improved alot but still no goal threat
  12. Chance for Beck.... should have got it on target
  13. Here we go.... another 90 minutes of torture.
  14. Good signings, obviously. And (gulp) you have to give kudos to the Ewood management for picking Tomasson and Eustace and the job they did / are doing in difficult circumstances I bet both would say they were lied to though about the backing they would receive in the transfer market The point is, we've signed more than our fair share of duds, and when money is tight (apparently) you cannot afford to make mistakes. And there's been plenty
  15. What a sorry list that is Wahlsted was a disaster - how many points did he cost us? Telalovic was way out his depth. It makes you wonder what they see in training that makes them think they could make the grade in the Championship Ennis is odd - showed some promise at Plymouth and Argyle fans liked him and didn't want him to leave. But again he looked so poor in a Rovers shirt Hirst showed flashes and has scored a few goals for Ipswich. He might have been worth persevering with, probably better than Dale or Leonard All in all, a tale of failure and woe by the Rovers recruiting department
  16. It's a Nixon story........ file it under "kite flying", the ancient practice whereby sports journalist hackers churn out speculative stories in the hope that 1 in a 100 proves to be correct
  17. The LET article is a rehash of existing stories and says nothing new.
  18. Sorry, don't understand this. He never looked the part, he was cheap, and he looked it.
  19. Call it what you want but it amounts to the same
  20. John Eustace has decided he’s had enough at Ewood and will leave Rovers at the first opportunity. There are many reasons why he has become disenchanted with the club. The lack of signings this window is one frustration but it is a symptom of what he sees as the main problem, which is the complete lack of any communication with the owners and the resultant absence of decision making at the club. Not unreasonably he wants to know what are the owners plans for the future and their vision for the years ahead. His requests for information have met stonewalling from the Ewood hierarchy and his own attempts to contact the owners have not been successful. In short, he sees no future for the club as it stands and as an ambitious manager he does see a future for himself either. He wants to leave. He has applied for several jobs in recent weeks, including West Brom and Coventry, and he will be applying for any appealing vacancy at this level that arises. So he could be gone in weeks, or it might be months, but his days at the club are numbered. This information came from senior sources within the club.
  21. Forget about the playoffs, the league season is over. I’m more intrigued about the possibility of a cup run with struggling Wolves possibly resting their best players.
  22. So many weasel words in that statement…… close knit, togetherness, very limited January winter window. .. hard working and honest …… summed up in one word: bullshit! He must think supporters are stupid if he thinks we’ll be taken in by such a poor and, quite frankly, insulting statement And he gets paid north of £300,000 a year to come out with this crap. He’s 70, or thereabouts, and a multimillionaire who doesn’t even have the decency to live in the area. He should have gone long ago.
  23. It’s not going to happen. Some folk are clutching straws by saying we’re still promotion contention but they said the same in each of the last few seasons and look where we ended up. As it stands, without 3 or 4 good signings coming in, the league season is effectively over
  24. They were great days Den but I’d be happy to return to how the club was being run under Williams and Allardyce. We didn’t know how lucky we were and how fragile it all was. I look at the likes of Brentford (really?) and Bournemouth (!!!) in the Premier League and Burnley 🤢 and how well they are managed and our predicament is so frustrating
