  1. Maybe Tomasson wasn’t a managerial messiah after all. We’re in free fall and he doesn’t appear to know what to do
  2. Markanday and Telekovic in the starting XI, they wouldn’t have made the reserves not that many years ago. That looks like a relegation team to me
  3. There was nothing more dull than Guardiola's Barcelona. many times I'd be watching them in the Champions League and switch over to something more interesting, such as a repeat of Emmerdale or Antiques Roadshow I'd say we're in the business of winning. Entertainment is on the TV
  4. Would you go back to 2 wingers who can beat a man and bang in a cross over the boring pass-pass modern game? I would.
  5. Foremost, football is about winning. How Rovers achieve a winning formula I don't really care. I'd take a boring 1-0 win any day. At the moment our "attractive" football and the manager behind it is losing.
  6. Last season has gone - a golden opportunity missed and irrelevant now. The facts are we are in free fall with a dreadful run of results that has left us looking nervously down the league rather than up.
  7. Managers stand or die on results. “Attractive” football can lose them their jobs
  8. 1966 a great year for obvious football reasons but an awful year to be a Rovers fan. Took us a quarter of a century to get back. If we do go down to the third division again we won't return so easily next time
  9. Apart from Peterborough away under Mowbray even in the worst of times on the worst of days I have never jn 60 years left a match early. Today sounds like it might have been another
  10. So the debacle today and many others have nothing to do with Tomasson?
  11. Wahlstedt would not have got near the first team at Rovers not that many years ago. Even Alan Fettis was better. His mistakes are schoolboy level and it’s beyond ridiculous that we actually paid money for him.
  12. You don’t identify and sign sub standard players. We had a reasonably strong team out today yet have been abysmal That’s down to the manger who gets too much of a free ride from many fans
  13. They weren’t responsible for the rubbish signings
  14. Tomasson is a one trick pony. He’s been found out.
  15. People talk about selective memory but I’ve yet to see this lad have a good game.
  16. Tomasson has given up IMO. He’s taken this lot as far as he can. Wahlstedt has been a terrible signing. £800,000 down the drain
  17. Remember him having more good games than bad. Better player than Moran
  18. Morton is a good player. Unfairly criticised when he was with us
  19. The absence of Hill is mystifying. Best defender in the squad Come on Ennis and Sigurdsson - what can you do?
  20. Ok, say Rovers somehow got promoted this season, or won the FA Cup. How would you describe Tomasson’s work then? You can’t say it’s brilliant because you’ve already said he’s doing a brilliant job having us in mid table The problem with using superlatives such as brilliant to describe something that’s very ordinary is that you’ve no word to use to describe genuine brilliance.
  21. Too many poor results to be doing a "brilliant" job. He's doing a good job, nothing more.
  22. Money badly spent as it stands. A keeper who makes brilliant saves one minutes but then lets in soft goals the next is no use to anyone.
  23. Lightweight is a good word; soft is another.
