2,500 plus Blackpool fans heading for Ewood according to website so fair play to them No mention of stakeholders though. McCarthy will have his team up for this one. We'll have to be much better than of late and scoring goals likely still to be a big problem 1-0 says the heart and 0-0 says the head

Ainsworth appointed at QPR in time for Saturday New manager bounce. Blackburn lad. Only one result.
-
He blew hot and cold here. When he was good, he was very good; when he was bad, he was anonymous. Overall we miss him I think. His deep runs from midfield would have suited the current manager, We've no one who can do that now. He had a touch of class about him. You'll be disappointed with our lot. We're absolutely dire to watch and can't score goals
-
How's Joe Rothwell doing?
-
Dickov scored more than 100 goals in 400 plus appearances. With all due respect, I don't think Dolan will get anywhere near that
-
Speed of thought is just as important as the ability to run fast. Bobby Moore and Gerd Muller couldn't run to save their lives but they were always one step ahead of the others because they read the game so well. Dolan doesn't offer much except running around alot, harrassing defenders and making a nuisance of himself. He won't be able to play like that when he gets a bit older because his legs won't do it.

It is corporate speak - probably from the US - which is another reason why it needs to be resisted. The Plain English Campaign has been fighting this sort of nonsense gobbledygook, jargon and misleading information. for years, for good reason I travelled by train last week - I'm not a "passenger" now, I'm a "customer" apparently. Likewise, "supporters" or "fans" are perfectly good descriptions for us ordinary folk who follow the club. We don't need to be given a "modern" label invented by corporate types to make us feel more "inclusive" or important. Anyway, good to see that Rovers have belatedly issued a statement on the EFL. I'm sure supporters will be pleased that there is still life in this sorry transfer tale yet
-
I'm like Dack but his attitude was very poor at West Brom. He played the showpony and almost cost us a goal with a ridiculous attempted pass across our box. He should have been subbed long before he came off.
-
A fan does not automatically mean you are a "stakeholder". Some fans might see themselves as "stakeholders" for their own reasons but many do not for legitimate reasons too. I have no "stakeholder interest" in BRFC whatsoever
-
Can you be nice too and use the reply button? I understand it thanks. But it doesn't apply to me and I suspect many other fans.
-
Yes it is up to me, and I ain't a stakeholder Blackpool supporters in the "modern world" may think otherwise and that's up to them. I look forward to them singing "Shit ground, no stakeholders"
-
I may have bought cakes from a local shop and if it closes it will affect me because I will no longer be able to use that facility so does that make me a stakeholder too? I have no financial interest in it and its success or failure does not depend on me. I haven't lost out and I will take my custom elsewhere. I have problems with the game of football and watching a match being described as a "product". The loos might not be clean and the pies overpriced but that's by the way. My enjoyment stems only from the team's performance. I'm fan of the team in the blue and white shirts - nothing more. And for me that doesn't make me a "stakeholder" It all smacks of Chicago Business School management jargon I wonder how many "stakeholders" will be at Ewood for the Blackpool game? Answer: maybe 100-200 players, sponsors, employees, because they have a financial stake. Fans: probably 12-15,000
-
We're fans, not shareholders or stakeholders
-
Perhaps the BRFCS owners / administrators could tell us if there is a reference to stakeholders? It’s possible but it’s unlikely. I thought we as messageboard users were “members” or is that too old fashioned and “Luddite”? I honestly doubt if anyone who posts on here regard themselves as stakeholders in the same way as the vast majority of folk who attend matches do not see themselves as anything other than fans or supporters. Language evolves but this smacks of American management/ corporate bullshit to me and I’m looking forward to the next away match already. “Shit ground, no stakeholders” Yeah right
-
So it’s management speak and misuse of a word, otherwise known as bollocks. Thanks for clarifying. It will be called out every time it’s posted from now on
-
Is stakeholder the latest buzzword? Stakeholder suggests some sort of financial interest. And I thought we were all fans Is Chaddy launching a management buyout at Ewood?

January Transfer Window.

Do we really want Brereton that much? He blows hot and cold, his game is limited and we could sign 2 better players for the same money who would make the team much stronger. -

You jest sir, of course. We'd have to do a Forest and spend tens of millions on an entire new squad -
It would be a start though At the Hawthorns I was tearing my hair out watching our defenders and midfield players passing the ball amongst themselves in our defensive third I'd love to know what we're trying to achieve by doing this We have midfield players who can retain possession and with an eye for a pass, eg Buckley, JRC, Morton, A Wharton, Dack, so why aren't we playing this possession game in the our opponent's defensive third, around the penalty area where, you know, we might just create a chance to score a goal?

Tony’s team going great guns. It’s galling to see Mowbray doing well and I wouldn’t want him back but there’s no doubt we’re a worse outfit this season. Tomasson isn’t an upgrade -

No different to West Brom in midweek. We didn’t look like scoring then and we don’t now. Tomasson out -

Dack was show ponying at West Brom and deserved to be dropped Don’t understand Ayala coming back and Carter is not a right back Come on Rovers -
A stench coming out of Ewood would be welcome ..... at least it would mean there is human life in there. Even if there are no new developments the general lack of communication through the season shows an arrogance and disdain for supporters. It's little wonder fans feel so disconnected from the club and don't go any more
